I'm just saying that not having a true pitching coach has been a concern since day one, and some of these arms are not fresh faces.
Do I hope that things get turned around with the pitching, and fast? Yes.
But I have my doubts, and they're the same doubts I've had since day one of this coaching hire (Christy, not Bolt).
Christy has had 1 full season as the pitching coach and the staff was top 2 in the B1G. This year has been inconsistent, but still our ERA is top 5 in the B1G and middle of the road nationally. He also lost 2 weekend starters from last year and two top BP arms. This year we lost a weekend starter and a top BP arm to injury. Just hard for me to throw him under the bus when his only full season, the staff was really freaking good.

Very disappointed in the consistency. Some days they hit the cover off the ball, some days that can't touch anything. Somedays our pitching is untouchable, somedays were getting absolutely torched. Some days they look like the gritty bunch from last year, some days they look like they don't even wanna be at the park.

With NU losing pitchers, this team may not end up with as strong as a season as most had hoped at the beginning. But, it could be a tough, fun team to follow with entertaining games.
I still think the pitching will be okay. They love Jelkins arm. Frank, Shay, McCarville make for a good rotation. Need to find another trustworthy bp arm to go with Ornelas and Olson.

Nebraska flipping walks it off
4 runs in the bottom of the 9th... 3 scored with two outs... Holy...
So glad I have BTN+. Still not sure what I just witnessed

There’s shooting yourself in the foot, then there’s what we did tonight. We strapped grenades to our feet.

Worried me we went away from Frank. Now looks like Perry is hurt. Man. Maybe it’s my baseball superstition but if it ain’t broke!

How scared are you of a town with 2 people...that has 1 murder
50%!!!! MY GOD!
I mean, if anything you would know WHO the killer was.
I'd be scared of going to jail at that point.

Curious where they go with the rotation. We have to pick three between Frank, Perry, Shay and McCarville. The last two weeks, each of those guys have crushed it. Maybe because of the weird week they go and rest purposes they go...Frank, Perry, Shay

No, They would look like murderous thugs that the world let get away.
f#&% anyone than thinks Putin is in any sort of way a “genius”.
Not to mention... tons of Russians dead, a tanked economy, a more united NATO, a more united EU, show your a$$ as a paper tiger with nukes and real incentive to never rely on Russian resources ever again. Putin crushed this.

Don't blame Cervantes for talking a little smack. When you're only hitting .200 on the year after hitting .084 the year before, you gotta take all the chances to chirp you can!
Also, intentionally walking the guy in front of you - is the baseball equivalent of telling someone their mama is fat.

Cervantes singles and scores the dub!
Some barking between coaches.
Efry waved "good-bye" to the NMSU bench on his way down the line. Think we may be getting our edge back!

NMSU has used 3 of their top arms, and played incredible defense. Probably stole 3-4 hits with the leather. We've looked bad at the plate at times this season, but I wouldn't crap on them for the effort today.

Kirby throwing the guy that started the season as his ace. He must really want this one, I'd think he would hold back his best arms for conf play this weekend.

Super aggressive on the base paths, love it. This is also the best BTN+ broadcast I've ever seen. Announcers (maybe students?) are actually pretty good, so much so, I question if they're students. Decent camera angles and even have the gun on the pitchers.

Anglim could be the answer at leadoff.

Hopefully this can be the start of something.
Like golf and basketball, sometimes you just need to see one go in. Hitting approach was a lot better in this one.

Keep getting the young guys ABs, hopefully we get some of these young pitchers some innings. Maybe we will hit a stride in the 2nd half of the season and surprise some folks. I certainly didn't want or expect a rebuild but that's where we are at now.

Biden's America
The national gas price is $4.36 per gallon. In California it's $5.73 per gallon!
I'm generally curious. If gas prices dipped below the avg when Biden took over, would you vote D in 2024?

Problem is, in a bad economy, that more than half might slip to slightly less than half. But yeah, it would be wonderful if the Rs found someone who isn’t a half human slimeball.
Seems like if the D's are busy beating themselves, don't give them a reason to show up in the polls. I could definitely be wrong though.

If the economy (inflation) doesn’t drastically improve, absolutely nothing is going to cause the dems to hang on to the executive. This is why it is important to continually point out Trumps flaws. As of right now he is the most likely Repub candidate. It would be really swell if he (or any of his clones) wasn’t.
Off topic I know, but it'd be pretty stupid to run Trump again. A republican with less baggage probably wins easy in 2024. Trump will drive people to the polls because more than half the country can't stand the SOB.
