All of our experience shutting out Ohio State's punt game has helped us shut out Minnesota's as well.

Its coach speak and he is not lying. Florida/Nebraska/anyone else has not contacted him directly. They contact his agent. Thats how this works. While Frost is 100% focused on his team, his agent is 100% focused on Frosts job offers and contract. Thats why Frost pays him.
Love the last line. This staff if capable, confident and they don't need me...

I get the feeling that some people feel like the act of throwing money at a coach or really any problem in life is what creates results. It's still the person you hire. The money is still just a tool to bring in more options. The problem isn't that Mike Riley isn't getting paid what he's worth, the problem is aren't paying the right person. I think the last thing any of us want is to both pick the wrong guy and overpay him.

Had to read that second sentence 3 or 4 times. Riley is 0-1 against the MAC and a TD win against a Sun Belt team who lost by 3 TDs against SMU. I'm not saying Riley is bad, but let's be realistic about him.
I will be daring enough to say that Riley is bad.

Scott Frost isn't qualified for Nebraska. Have you seen Nebraska's last hires. Clearly if you want to coach at Nebraska there has to be some kind of major flaw with you. We'll pick him up after he cusses out a ref or misses a bowl game or something.

Pfft. I reckon your success is just a matter of luck and falling into favorable circumstances. Probably not even an average coach but just have good assistants. Blowing out a bunch of cupcakes in that joke of a conference is supposed to impress? Yep, doubtful that you could make the Huskers as successful as UCF. If you could do that then I'd say you're a good coach. I dare you to try.... unless you're chicken... OK, I double dare you.
I see what you did there

Thats a really weird way of saying that HCSF. You're saying it like you won't be coming??? WTF man.
Riley will be replaced by me and I will coach the Huskers for the next 100 years and we will still talk about Bo even when I'm winning my 100th title.*
Is that better?

Riley will get replaced by someone and I swear we'll still talk about Bo more than Riley

Iowa will be hard to beat. Kirk Ferentz is a better coach.

Vegas's 24 point spread was optimistic.

I think all of us deep down knew Riley wasn't going to work as soon as he was announced. I officially stopped drinking the koolaid after the Purdue game. We had a backup QB, it was really windy and Purdue had a really poor rush defense and Langs still had us throw the whole game. That kind of arrogance, that we could run any system and regardless of player talent, environment or anything and still be successful by Riley and Langs brought me back to reality about their coaching ability. Watching the defense get run over, the players' apathy, and the offense struggle convinced me Riley wasn't going to pan out.
