It will be interesting to see if Mike Riley can outlast Butch Jones

It's a kind of a hard choice decision. So many heart breaking, soul crushing losses.

Just listened to a husker podcast. It blows my mind that people don't think SF is ready. His resume could not be much better than it currently is. Won a title with Nebraska. Played NFL as QB and safety. Worked as a defensive coordinator, offensive coordinator and a head coach. Both his parents are football coaches. Helped take Oregon to the a national championship. Worked with many iconic coaches. Made an 0-12 ranked after a year and a half. I'm sorry he didn't beat Alabama or Clemson with UCF in the national championship last year.

Do we still have the receipt? Can we return him to Oregon State?

Mike Riley breaks another school record!!!!!! 37 first downs allowed! And it only took him 3 quarters
-
We shut Ohio State's punting game out last year. Can we keep hold them to 0 punting yards again tonight?

So do you think we'll just take our balloons home tonight and release them when Riley is fired?

Guys, 66% - 62% is a 4% difference. That means out of 25 first down plays UCF runs the ball one fewer time. That plus the image I thought it was an obvious joke

Guarantee no win either

How is competing for the B1G West unrealistic? Did you read what I wrote or just read the title and assume things?
Heck no I didn't read your post. No one reads posts longer than a paragraph.

Hey how bout we drop those expectations down a couple notches for a bit. The last thing we want is to get booed in Memorial for too high of expectations.

Two thoughts.
I recognize that I'm in the minority here, but no blowouts is an unrealistic expectation. Urban Meyer got blown out 35-0 last year. Mark Dantonio, Bob Stoops, Jimbo Fisher every single good coach gets blown out occasionally. In the last four years all of these four coaches won 11+ games and still got blown out in the same season. (12,12,11,12). I'm pretty sure only Nick Saben doesn't get blown out. Maybe Dabo Swinney will mature into that we'll have to see.
I agree that top 25 is a good realistic expectation. Let's not forget that Riley was hired the same year as Jim Harbaugh and Paul Chryst were and they are consistently in the top 25, top 10 even. It is not that hard to be in the top 25. For the record it took Scott Frost fewer games to take an 0-12 team to the top 25 than it took Mike Riley to get a 9-4 team to the top 25. We couldn't end a season there either. Obviously the jury is still out on Frost.
Anyway that's my two cents.

We need the dream team. I'm talking
AD - Whoever LSU's is. He's great at hiring coaches.
HC -Jim Tressel - He's probably a bit rusty at cheating but we can give him time he'll come back.
BB - Rick Patino assuming he beats the jail rap
PR -Bring Scaramucci out of retirement
We would make Bo blush

Who's this Scott Frost guy everyone keeps talking about

We aren’t firing Riley this year so just get over it. Honestly all the talk is getting so annoying and way too much negativity. Are we a good team? Not really, but he’s going nowhere so either support the team or shut up.
Are you Mike Riley?

You can support the team and think Riley is toast. I've cheered and will cheer every play for the Huskers. I also think that unlike Riley, I will still be cheering for the Huskers come next fall.

I mean this board fired Riley like 3 weeks ago

I hope the fans get to release their balloons during the Ohio State game. Really concerned they won't

Frost can't get here soon enough

Why are people so passionate about whether we keep him or not? Just let the new head coach decide. I support whatever he wants.

This is potentially Riley's most important game of his career at Nebraska
