I heard that if we don't hire Scott Frost, every fan will stop attending gsmes so that the streak ends.  Because science.

Also, I once saw Scott Frost scissor kick Angela Landsbury.

I enjoy South Park, so of course I read that as "I once saw Scott Frost scissor Angela Landsbury"

Right, with 5 star players in a weak conference. Dabo was on the hot seat for some time and it took him a decade to get it going while also always having top shelf talent. Maybe not the number one class but top 10-15 consistently and his top shelf players were elite. Facts.

This is his 9th year this year, won a NC in his 8th. That is still less than a decade right this moment.  Facts.

Let's be real: it doesn't matter in the slightest who the starting RB is, here. Our ground game consists of lining up tight and running it inside, and that's basically it. Somehow, we've ended up in a bizarre parallel world where outside runs do not exist for the Huskers.

So that must explain why our D still cannot stop outside runs, because they have never seen them before in practice!

You have to have the athleticism to "refuse to lose"-and the coaching.

    We have neither, hence lose.

That is part of it sure, but having that attitude is a big piece of it too. Confidence and a mental edge is incredibly underrated in sports.  Everyone looks for only tangible answers in games that human beings play when there are many more factors at work.

College football has shown many ways to win, and the one common denominator is that teams that win consistently execute whatever they do well.

This is 100% the answer. Do something and execute it so well that it works. Nebraska used to do this, running the ball sure, but it was about being really, really good at it. Everyone knew it, but it was done anyway.

  6. Best of luck to you all too! I will be heading in from Denver for the first time in a couple years. I am pulling for a close game, which should make the old place rock.  Night games are the best. The B1G tradition of 10 AM (MST) games is a bummer,  no time to get riled up! I have way too much time for yard work after those. ..

  7. Let's not forget that the two years before they went winless they were 12-1 and 9-4.  So the cupboard did not seem to be all that bare.  O'Leary might have just mailed it in during his last season.  Frost might be the answer, but for once let's actually have some due diligence in this process for AD and any potential new coach.

I still want to see a win over Wisconsin at night and this ship righted from now on, that is the best case scenario.  Mainly because I will be in attendance on Saturday night.

Because that model has not proven that it can win a NC and no matter how low we are right now as we climb the ladder with MR or whoever is the coach we as fan's all know that anything short of making the playoffs and/or competing for NC's on more than one occasion per decade is not good enough

We can all keep saying that all we want but winning multiple conference titles and having consistent top 15 finishes over a decade span would be perfectly acceptable in my eyes.

  9. I believe college football is largely based on emotion and confidence, assuming no cavernous gaps in coaching or talent. A solid road win gives a confidence boost going into this week. If they can get off to a good start next Saturday, at night, get the crowd into it, who knows what could happen.

I will be headed to Lincoln from Denver next week and hope the atmosphere is worth it.

We've only played Ohio State 3 times if you don't count the two times before 1960...

Bo did get blown out in Columbus, but he didn't get 63-3 blown out.

I wasn't even that big of fan of Bo, but quite honestly, I kind of miss him. This new staff is embarrassing. It's more of a conversation piece to talk about how bad the Huskers are and talk to my friends about how good Iowa looks this year.

It was only 62-3, c'mon man!
