When did the tunnel walk become a thing? I don't recall any mention of it when I was there from '76-'84.

So you're going to be a real stinker today? Hopefully the Huskers won't be.
I'll be taping the game as Saturday afternoons are game day at my house. Said games being wargames of the old school variety, with symbols for tanks and infantry and ships and airplanes printed on little square pieces of cardboard. We've been trying out various WW1 games, mostly strategy level, in celebration of 100 years since the Great War. I ought to look up NU's football record from 1917 just for historical references, but I have to read the rulebook of another new game we're trying out today.

Sad state of affairs. How long before it looks like a Miami home game?
South Florida is full of fair weather fans. Even the king of sports teams around here, the Dolphins, does not fill the stadium. But I don't blame the fans, having 88+ degree heat during the day throughout the fall. Which was why the Dolphins were good at home as they practiced outdoors and could handle the heat throughout the game, until Saban came to be HC and moved practice indoors. He's hated around these parts.

I think you just answered your own question. Yes, there is a difference between "Come to the meeting and then you'll find out what it's about" and "We're having a meeting about this."
TA thought they should have been notified ahead of time what it was about (at least that's how I read it). I don't agree with him but he thinks he wanted something different than how it happened.
So you're expecting people to act rationally?
Should they look to HuskerBoard for an example?
At least you didn't put "rationally" and "Huskerboard" in the same sentence.

And when Iowa is in town there's a not-to-be-discounted percentage of eau de pasture. But honestly, I try to ignore that as much as possible.
OMG yes. Reminds me of the time I drove up from Florida to see my sister and her family in western Iowa in 2010 when I stopped for the night in eastern IA. I got out of my car's AC to have a crushing weight of pig smell coming from a large feedlot. My first thought was, "Yup, I'm in Ioway." (need an emoji for holding your nose)

I miss the Big 8, but I don't miss it being called the Big Two & Little 6.

UCF football is about to get a bunch more tv viewership from Nebraska fans. I know I'll be watching.
They play Maryland this weekend so it should be on somewhere. Perhaps BTN?
Before the season started I saw that Tom Osborne and Scott Frost were going to be at a dinner in Palm Beach and thought I'd like to go, until I saw it was $150 to buy a seat. I got better uses for that money, like more booze to cry into for this season.

Since the football season is in the crapper, at least the University is giving us a reason to be intrigued and interested in the football programs moves.
I wouldn't say it's in the crapper just yet. Let us lose a few more games before we become immersed in s#!t.

I like what Riley was able to do off the field. He generally represented Nebraska well.
For Eichorst ... I mean he never murdered anybody or committed any felonies.
Or he just hasn't been caught.
I do like the nice guy image Riley represented for NE, being one myself. But I wouldn't even be a .100 winning coach.
