It's abrupt but the timing isn't odd: baseball just finished and football hasn't started.

    It's no big deal.

And that's what Moos WANTS you to think, as he and his hookers catch a night plane to Kiev.

I thought it was a night train to Georgia?

Okay guys real talk. I'm very superstitous. Wearing the clothes from yesterday. Question is do I shower, because if I shower will that take off all the good juju or is the good juju on the clothes so I could shower. Ya'll gotta let me know, really debating it.

Did you spill a Runza on it?  If not then go ahead and wash it. ;)

Did they include the Ft. Lauderdale area, and possibly the Palm Beach area, when counting "Miami" potential viewership?  I'm not saying UCF isn't deserving, but Orlando seems to constantly trying to be one of the big city boys.

They have an NBA team, what more do they want? :D

FIFY.  TBH, I feel that way about every game the past few years.  Other than mistake prone, I am unsure which Husker team will show up week to week. Eventually we have to turn the corner right?  Right?

That would depend on the corner to be turned.  Shall we turn towards ice cream (Goodrich is my fav, I so miss it way down here), Valentino's, or Runza?  :D

  6. At least we have Creighton to root for.

Right?  There's no bad blood between UNL and Creighton is there?  I know so little about the school except it's in Omaha.  Heck, surprised me that a customer to my store down here went there, but I hadn't seen him in years.

I’m more concerned about the people who seemed to miss the Animal House reference...

We might have bigger problems than Frost and Moos not getting along.

Animal House? But then I'm not a fan of that movie, it was okay. (good thing there's no downvotes any more :D

    I got the 1941 reference.

What I need to know is, is the OU game on or off? Cuz if it's off I've got a bunch of red gear to burn and wild flailing to do.

I know this ordeal should bother me more than it does but this program has been a sh#tshow since the 2001 debacle in Boulder. Compared to what all has transpired these last 20 years, excuse me if I'm plumb out of outrage.

From what I can tell I think there's others on this board that can lend you some. ;)

I will always be in favor of giving more players more freedom and opportunity if that's what they want.  It's up to them to make the right decision.

Making the right decision is not going to be easy. Are there people who can help without bias?  Maybe there's a new position in the making on the staff/admin to help student athletes with this, one that looks out for the student more than the school?

The point somebody made was that Nebraska was only Devaney and Osborne with a barren wasteland outside of those 40 years. That is objectively untrue. Nebraska has a long, dominant football tradition. We have as many exceptional years as Notre Dame, Alabama, Oklahoma, USC, Michigan, or Ohio State. And...why wouldn't you care about history. Notre Dame is in the playoff and talks about the 4 Horsemen and George Gipp and Knute Rockne. Alabama can't stop talking about their Mount Rushmore of coaches with Wallace Wade, Frank Thomas, Bear Bryant, and Nick Saban. Michigan has 1997 as the only National Championship since Jackie Robinson played for the Dodgers and still acts like they are one of only two teams in the Big 10.

College football is a story of continuity of teams despite a turnover of players. It's unique in that way unlike any other sport.

I always love this little fact when the Four Horsemen are brought up:

"During the three-year tenure of the Four Horsemen, Notre Dame lost only two games; one each in 1922 and 1923, both to Nebraska in Lincoln before packed houses."  (from Wikipedia)

  11. There could be "mass" exodus from several teams. It won't be just coaches fired and hired that will make sports headlines, I could see a lot of transfers making the headlines, too. Whoever goes, whoever stays, and whoever transfers in: hoping the best for all you.

*P.S. Something about the title "Mass exodus incoming" seems so oxymoronic. ;)
