  1. What is the amount? I am going to assume it is north of $5M per year.
  2. Sure, because it doesn't fit your "he is staying at UCF montra." He gave some good info and not a single so called insider has said anything like Adam did. Adam clearly has the better info on this subject than anyone else in the media.
  3. I'm sure there will be at least 20 new rumors on RSS by Thanksgiving and 15 of those will result in freakouts by fans. Maybe I should just repost Adam's interview every morning over the next 7 days. I doubt people realize just how soon the regular season is done and when we can formally request to speak with Scott Frost. In 2 days the PSU game is already done and over with. Then it is a short week. Then we can say bye to Riley, and in the same day get Scott Frost on the phone.
  4. Ah, the classic I have insider information but can't confirm any of it. Whenever there is a coaching change are always a thousand people who suddenly have these amazing sources and all of this insider information. 99% of them are full of complete BS. The most public info that we have is what Rittenburg said on the radio this morning to an ORLANDO radio station. He wasn't just BSing because it was a Nebraska station, he said it to a radio station based in Orlando.
  5. Ok, here is the link to Rittenberg's interview: https://www.iheart.com/podcast/139-Open-Mike-26936807/episode/espncom-college-football-writer-adam-rittenburg-28653739/ The good stuff is right at the start. Listen to it people. What's Adam hearing about Frost and the Nebraska job?
  6. I will get a link for Adam's interview. Just a few minutes.
  7. Forget everything else that has been said and all of the RSS rumors, etc, now THIS Is interesting. https://969thegame.iheart.com/featured/open-mike/content/2017-11-16-podcast-our-weekly-visit-from-scott-frost/ He stated that members of the UCF staff knows that there is going to be a major offer coming from Nebraska. Expect the offer to be outside of the normal market value for a second year head coach. They are expecting a major offer coming. "there is a very good chance he ends back up at Nebraska" "It is coming from the Big Red" Listen to it folks. That is some interesting stuff that was talked about. You will have to fast forward through Scott's interview to get to the juicy part.
  8. Seriously, FLorida, Seriously? If you were on the verge of annoucing Chip you wouldn't be sending out this Tweet. The backlash for them not getting Chip (if it goes that way) is going to be pretty harsh.
  9. Benning doing his usual Frost stuff that he has always been doing and some journalist from Omaha learned about how much of a God Scott Frost is in Orlando while still not being able to fill their stadium half full. Benning took the article and ran with it since it fits what he is privately hoping for (IMO).
  10. Ah, the old "big name" spew that every fanbase gets drunk over during a coaching search. Name me the last time Nebraska went out and hired a big name head coach. I will be waiting a long time for that answer. Scott Frost has always been the most realistic candidate, the best fit, and most likely to take the job of coaches that get press time (for this cycle of coaching changes). If Florida fails to land Kelly they will end up with someone like Kiffen or Strong.
  11. Florida fired their head coach and have internal "fighting" about who should be the next coach. TN fired their coach and they are drunk hardcore on Gruden. Maybe they will get Gruden this time? Moos was hired and let UCF know that Scott Frost is wanted by Nebraska. In the big picture that is pretty much it. Like I have been saying, things are going to start to heat up next week, which anyone would already assume anyways.
  12. Yep, the next round of rumors I tell yeah. RSS is always full of them and they change daily. I trust the two way conversations between Frost/agent and Nebraska since I trust the person to confirmed the ESPN guy's info.
  13. Haven't changed my views/thoughts on Nebraska and Frost since day one. I'm not going to celebrate until it is a done deal though.
  14. Well, another day of waiting for UF to get their crap together and close the deal with Chip. If they fail to land Chip it will be one of the worst hyped coaching pursuants that I have ever seen in college football coaching searches.
  15. Remember I kept saying the first thing to look for, for getting Scott Frost to Nebraska was paying attention for new names to come up with the UF coaching job. That has happened. The next thing is to look for is Scott Frost and jobs that will eventually open. If we hear nothing about Frost and other jobs and we hear credible leaks (as credible as they can be like the ESPN guy), and there is no chatter about Forst returning to UCF as for certain, then we know there is a good chance he is going back home when "momma" officially calls. My gut feeling is that things for the push to get Scott Frost to Nebraska didn't happen until after the MN game. Just my gut feeling on that. Priore to that I think it was just more of feelers that went out to various coaches. I think they know what they will be doing on officially and are now moving in that direction.
  16. Went to the UCF board at Rivals and there is basically zero exciting or discussion about their season. All you see is Nebraska bashing thread after thread. Pathetic fanbase. No wonder why they can't even get 30K students to attend a home game when their team is undefeated in the middle of Nov.
  17. Good point. For the most part they would be recruiting the same local skill talent for basically the same schemes and same reasons to play at their respective school. Chip will win pretty much ever bigger recruiting battle in this scenario simply by being from the bigger school. If Frost does make it to Nebraska he will be the only coach in the Midwest taht will be running this style of offense. Thus, any good skill talent in the Midwest that is west of Ohio/Indiana will have something more local to play at instead of having to go all the way to Oregon in the old days when Chip and Frost where there or having to play at UCF or go all the way to Florida and Florida isn't likely to ever recruit Midwest skill talent anyways. What I would like to see is a bigger push into IL. The current staff must be allergic to IL.
  18. Speaking of Frost and other openings, I honestly have not seen any chatter anywhere else besides Nebraska and Florida. It may turn out that the main competition for Scott Frost by the time this is all done will be just UCF, Nebraska and Florida. I see A&M trying to pry away Jimbo. I see Arkansas, if that opens, going after the native son in Norvell or the Auburn head coach. UCLA I have no clue.
  19. Yeah, they will say the dumbest things like that. I have no clue where that 11am stuff started from since no accredited media person provided a news release of it. Friday is the first time I have seen someone actually put it out in public like the link above.
  20. FWIW.... http://www.gatorchatter.com/threads/source-chip-kelly-to-be-announced-on-friday.17934/
