I agree wth them for the most part, although I'd rate MS State and FSU higher. I expect both of those coaches to do very well.
-
I wouldn't mind Gill. I think most fans would like seeing him back on the sidelines. I'm sure he'd make more here as an OC than he's making at Liberty as a HC. That being said, Walters would be the #1 choice.

Parella and (Keith) Williams were two I really wish would have been retained.
Oh well, it is what it is. I have faith in Frost.
-
I heard that Keith Williams was let go. If so, we're going to miss out on some great WRs that wanted to play for him. Wouldn't be surprised to see another B1G team pick him up.

I'm sure Frost will have plenty of QBs out there who will express their interest.
-
Hopefully Frost can re-convince him.

I'm happier than a puppy with two peters

I really hope we keep Keith Williams -- we have some really good WRs that I don't want to lose/miss out on.

Hedley, I promised my two boys if SF was hired we would fly out to Lincoln for their first game next fall. I owe you a drink or ten
As far as I'm concerned, Hedley should never have to pay for another drink.

This isn't just a hiring, it's a healing, and a rebirth of sorts -- one that this program and this state desperately needed. It's a time for celebration, and unification. I have neighbors that I rarely have spoken to over the past few years, to to my criticism of Pelini and Riley... today, we all celebrated together. It only gets better from here.

He not only got the hire that most everyone wanted, he did it the right way, with class, and with little public drama. This is especially impressive considering Florida, Florida State, Oregon, A&M, and other schools were interested. He pulled the base together, and got a great hire.
Well done.
He handled it all professionally and magnificently. We are in good -- no, GREAT -- hands with Moos in charge.

UCF has allowed almost 700 yards of offense

This Chinanader defense looks much like Diaco's.
-
If he wants to bring him, let him. I'm sure if after a couple years our D isn't up to par, Frost will find a replacement.

That's why I said earlier, today should be about UCF. If they win, give them some time to enjoy it and celebrate. There doesn't need to be any rush to announce him as our coach. It can wait till tomorrow.

Right. I thought he was staying?
From what I heard, he turned it down.

As far as unifying the fan base, as soon as this announcement is made, it will instantly unify the fan base more than it has been in a long, long time. Winning and being successful will tighten those bonds even more.

I'd think that if Frost & Co. win today, that Frost and his team would like to celebrate... leads me to think it'll be announced Sunday as opposed to today.

Thought it was appropriate for me to tag on to this post for obvious geographic reasons (STL). I'll not have time to check-in or post tomorrow so...
One last hug. One last kiss. One last megathread keystroke.
Scott Frost will be the next great Husker coach.
Farewell to thee most awesome of threads.

What is your favorite Husker play of all-time?

Frazier's run vs. Florida is by far my favorite.
However, I'll add Kareem Moss' INT at the end of the 94 Orange Bowl that sealed it. When Schlesinger scored his 2nd TD, there were still 2 minutes left. Costa completed a short pass, and was sacked twice, leading to 4th-and-19. When Moss made the INT, it was a feeling of release of all the near-misses and past failures, a feeling of joy and validation and redemption and glory.
