If we don't get Frost, I'd take Stoops, or Tressel. No Bielema, no Leach.

I'm hearing Mullen to Tennessee.

Exactly. If he stays at UCF, it says very little about Nebraska, and a lot about Scott Frost. If he goes to Tennessee, then that might be a bad look for us. If he goes to Florida...as much as it would just kill me, most could see reasoning behind it. Heck, the national media has him penciled in there already. So yeah....it depends on why we don't get him....AND, it will depend a lot on who we do get I think. If we don't get Scott, but make a sledge hammer hire, then all is well. IMO
But who, exactly, would be a sledge hammer hire? I can't think of anyone, unless they can lure Osborne out of retirement.

Frost will not go to Tennessee....they will end up with a crap coach again. They were idiots to get rid of Fulmer
They'll end up with Norvell I think... a guy who will take advantage of being able to maintain a program after the real star (Fuente) left

Looks like Chip has chosen UCLA.
I find it odd/interesting that it says that NU reached out to him.

Nebraska is a non factor from what my friend said. Would be like Peyton coming to coach here. Some people do not want to tarnish their image if things do not work out at their Alma Mater. Right now everyone here LOVES Peyton. Let him have some 6-6 or 5-7 seasons and half the fan base is ready for a lynching. Peyton has said this publicly. The same could be the case for Frost at Nebraska plus we can pay more.

I have faith in Hedley, and in Moos. I just pray that Hedley isn't just pulling our collective leg.

So December 3 is the day, right? A Sunday?

Anyone else think that possibly Chip is waiting to see what's going to happen at Oregon? Taggart is rumored for a couple positions, and if he leaves, Kelly could possibly return there?

This was almost interesting. LOL
I misread that for a second as "UCF AD @UCFDannyWhite has signed Scott Frost to a five-year extension"

I don't know who this Lars Anderson guy is, but I don't believe a word he says. No way do the Gators offer $8-million, and if they don't land Frost or Kelly, their next targets are Strong and Taggart. Now, if they miss out on Chip, will they come after Frost again? I'm sure they will. They won't get him, though. I'm confident that Moos and Frost have a preliminary deal in place. Moos comes across as a guy who has his shi.... stuff together.

I thought Scott already told them 'No.'?
That doesn't prevent them from making another run at him...

Looks like the Gators may be coming after Frost again

The word out here is that UCLA is putting a heavy bid in for Coach Kelly. Troy Aikman (spelling) and another financial booster are involved. Was mentioned again last night on the 11PM NBC news. Thought I read somewhere that Coach Kelly's agent is a UCLA grad.
Strange - it was reported a little while ago that UCLA had "moved on" from Kelly

ADMB is in a spot for sure lol. Frost or bust. At least our fan base knows what they want- more than you can say about a lot of teams.
Yep -- if Moos doesn't land Frost then he better find a way to lure Osborne out of retirement

I would think that a majority of Husker fans do not actually hate OU. There’s respect there. But Texas can f#*k right off.
Yeah, Texas is probably my most hated opponent.
I took a leak on the side of their stadium back around 2002, and I have no regrets.

I stand corrected.

One thing that I think will make a big difference in Frost's decision is that we are willing to offer a 6 or 7-year deal, whereas other schools will only offer a 3 or 4-year deal.
-
That's something we'll probably never know, but he was hired for a reason.

Moos was brought in for two primary reasons: to fire Riley, and to land Frost. He was chosen because he assured them that he could and would do both. Anything less than that will be unacceptable.

It would've been idiotic for Chip to sign anything without seeing what UCLA's counteroffer was.

Supposedly FLorida is giving Chip Kelly a contract to sign tonight. That is what they claim on their message boards.

Moos knows what's at stake. He knows it's Frost or bust. There simply is no alternative. We desperately need him to unify the fan base and to get this program rejuvenated. I fully expect Moos to come through.
