I hope it's Dave Aranda
Same. I have no doubt he'd retain Mickey and assemble an amazing staff. Dude is all business

the only one of those I'd be the least bit interested in is Kiffin

Who do you all believe now who Trev will hire? NOT who you want Trev to hire but based on what we know now - who do you THINK TREV WILL HIRE??
Campbell or Leipold

I guess sell me on it.
At Auburn you can recruit a top 10 class and still be 4th best in your division, you play Georgia every year, the administration is a joke and the fans are unreasonable even compared to Nebraska fans.
You also have an administration and boosters who will actively and publicly undermine you in order to get you fired. Auburn is a terrible place to coach.
Um Auburn has actually been relevant and won a national championship in recent memory? They're in the premier conference in college football and in a hotbed of recruiting talent? Come on bro. It's not even close right now

I genuinely think the Nebraska job is considerably better than the Auburn job.
Like it's not even close. It's an absolute clownshow down there.
No dude. You're literally the only person in this galaxy who thinks that

"80% chance"
Trust me bro if an offer to UM was going to be made it would have happened a long time ago. No way would Trev wait around for a bunch of other vacancies to open up before making an offer

My gut says it's hungry, but beyond that I believe we have a realistic shot at getting Urban. As a matter of fact, I'd guess he's the leading contender at this point (and that's assuming Trev hasn't already offered it to him and he accepted).
The chances of us landing Urb are slim and none, and slim just left town

I think he shot himself in the foot by saying he's hands off with Whipple and that he can just do what he wants. There's no way you can convince me that Purdy is better than Smothers. And after witnessing that blazing 3rd quarter performance, I think Haarberg should get playing time just to see what he can do.
Uncle Rico could've done better

I'm so sick of the "he doesn't fit the culture" argument. Do you want to win or do you want to be doormats but at least we have a nice coach? Some of these fans kill me. This isn't paddycakes or tiddlywinks, this is big-$ smash-mouth Big 10 football. Eat or be eaten

No way in hell Husker Nation will accept Kiffin
I really don't care at this point. There is no unanimously agreed-upon choice. No matter who is hired there will be a portion of fans that don't like it.

Serious question, why do you think that?
The SEC West is no cakewalk... not to mention the MS salary cap, family ties to Nebraska, our resources/$ for coordinators/fan support/NIL

Assuming we will not land big names thrown around like Bob Stoops, Chris Peterson, Urban Meyer, and Deion Sanders, here is who I would like to see Nebraska target in no particular order:
- Kalen DeBoer-I am still a huge fan of his and he is in his first season at Washington. He has the second best win-loss record of any active coach who has been head coach for more than 50 games.
- Chris Klieman-He is moving up my list. He beats a ranked team 48-0 without his starting QB. Pretty impressive.
- Mark Stoops-He may finish the year 8-4 but he has made Kentucky a reliable and consistent program in the SEC
- Lane Kiffin-He has gotten better and better with each coaching move. The risk with him is that he may not stay long.
- Kyle Whittingham-Very unlikely to leave at his age but he has been very consistent for many years

I like all of those but the only ones I think we have a slim shot at are Klieman and Kiffin. That said, I think Trev already has his guy… I just pray it’s not Campbell -

Can we all finally agree that Mickey Joseph isn't the guy?

I agree that a guy should go pro when he can. But look at Palmer’s draft rankings, they are still in the 300s.
that's what the combine and pro day is for

Against crappy players. Let’s see how he does against better defenses. This is game 1 and he’s done nothing.
He was open a couple times in the first half and Thompson had bad throws

His stock increased exponentially this year. If he's smart he'll take the NFL route while he can.

Who should our next HC be?

Precisely. Low expectations, where fans are perfectly content with 7-8 win seasons. Anything more than that is lagniappe.
