The news about Frost having cold feet and remorse about coming to Nebraska kind of puts a damper on the excitement.
Yeah, it does a bit, but it can't be easy leaving a team where there aren't any hard feeling.

Not going to be much defense in this game...
-
Announcers are acting like Frost is struggling with his decision as recent as yesterday.
-
Memphis was moving the ball well before the fumble pitch.

Decent crowd, but definitely not sold out. I think students get in for free.

Kirk Herbstreit! YOU'VE MADE THE LIST!

Usually, stuff outside of coaches shows are voluntary. I don't know of too many coaches that are obligated to do a morning radio show. Sure, some do them, but I wouldn't do them at this point in time.
-
Ugh, why is Scott still doing radio shows for local hacks?

No reason to stress out etc. Just relax enjoy the chaos that is not unfolding at NU and know that we have our guy already. We can all finally say "look at their dumpster fire, glad that is not happening in Lincoln"
I have you heard anything about Frost having any doubts like some of the Orlando reporters would like us to believe?
-
Hopefully, Moos and company get on their plane Saturday morning and met with Frost late Saturday afternoon, because I get the feeling UCF is going to make another charge at signing Frost for an extension.

He could still coach their bowl while still being announced as Neb. Head coach. It has happened before in fcs.
-
I wonder if it is better or worse for us based on the conference championship result. If they lose, Scott might feel like he has unfinished business. But he'd be less likely to coach the bowl game if he comes. If they win, Scott has pretty much done all he can do there, but he might want to coach the Peach Bowl. I'm glad Moos is giving him his space, but I hope they are still talking with his agent. Scott is probably still getting dirctly hit hard each day by UCF staff and Orlando media that want him to stay, so that worries me a bit.
-
I sort of get the feeling that while he is leaning towards Nebraska that his mind might not be 100% made up. Maybe, Moos is willing to wait because the signs point towards him coming. I would think that Moos got a verbal commitment at some point, but it doesn't mean Frost can't back out before papers are signed. If he backs out, we better hope we can get Fuente if he is still out there and actually willing to leave his Power 5 school. Everyone else has been picked clean by now. Scott will really have put us in bad shape if he backs out now.

Isn't he the guy who said it's done and people cleaning out offices
He talks out of both sides of his mouth. He acts like Scott is still torn on what to do.

If Frost were going to stay, I would think we would’ve known awhile ago. He has an extension sitting on the table. If he wanted to clear all distractions he would’ve signed and announced such. I suppose he could be stringing UNL a long until the last possible minute but I think Moos would’ve asked for some reassurances or else he would’ve offered to someone like Fuente by now if he thought Frost was leaning on staying.
Yeah, Scott would really be screwing us over if he backed out this late into things. I'm not a fan of that Ryan Bass reporter on twitter acting like things are still up in the air.

I wish these coaches would stop giving interviews. The local reporters certainly don't care about the game. UCF can keep the DC.

I'd have him sign the contract Saturday night, so no last minute offers from other teams. They can fly him in for a Monday news conference.

IIRC, Josh said Matt Reynoldson of HuskerOnline reported that Frost’s parents were contacted via a phone call, but the reporter took it upon himself to make it sound worse. At least that’s the impression I got from everything.
So basically an Orlando reporter trying to say something negative in the hopes that Scott changes his mind?

Lol have you listened to our press conferences? Don't have to wander far to find similar quality reporters
Maybe, but these Orlando reporters are doing their darn-est to try to get Scott to stay and throw insults at Nebraska.

Does Scott have to do any more press conferences this week besides the post game? Hopefully that is the last time those Orlando hack reporters can get a hold of him.

There was a near zero percent chance Campbell was leaving even before the extension.

Because they probably read the Nebraska papers just like we read the Orlando Sentinel .
Was that actually reported in a Nebraska newspaper? I thought the the media called his parents, but I have heard nothing about them camping out in front of their house. Dirk Chatelain said he didn't think it was true.

I expect next year might be a 6-6 type season, but I think Scott will have us back to winning 9 or more games after that. It would be nice to get a conference title in 3 to 5 years.
