  1. I'll be interested to hear what Frost says after the UCF-SF game when I'm sure he'll be asked questions about his future.  He'll be on an emotional high after the game more so than after any other game of the season whether they win or lose.  Will he play a game of semantics, be iffy, or act like UCF is his future long-term?

  2. If we don't get Frost and we can't steal a coach from a top team, Leach is the best option out of the names I've seen throw out there for head coach.  I really, really don't want a recently fired or down on his luck head coach.  I'd rather have a coordinator from a national powerhouse than another head coach with mixed results.

  3. Is it better for UCF to win against South Florida and win the conference title the next week, so he goes as far as he can go there and doesn't feel like he has unfinished business or lose to South Florida so things can get negotiated quickly?  I'm also curious what he will say in the post game news conference after the South Florida game when emotions will be high.  I'm sure some Florida media guys will try to get him backed into a corner to basically say he is staying at UCF even if he isn't 100% sure.

It seems like if he were heavily leaning towards coming back to Nebraska, we'd hear more about it in the media instead of just from a couple posters on a message board.  I feel like he hasn't decided anything yet.  The guy with the last big Frost to Nebraska rumor, Lars Anderson, has already backed off on his acting like Frost to Nebraska was a sure thing.

  4. It made sense to go as a 5 win team in Riley's first year.  With the transition going to happen in the offseason, I wouldn't bother.  Also, it would probably be in a bad location and I don't think ticket sales would be good.  Nebraska would likely breakeven money-wise at best.

Personally I would be really nervous to go back to my alma mater because it’s definitely a big risk. You are already a hero there, so my attitude is why potentially mess that up. But to be totally honest, I’m just not a risk taker in general and usually like to take the easy route. People like Scott Frost who are really competitive often welcome those kinds of opportunities and look at it as more of a challenge than a risk.

Bart Starr was a bad head coach for the Packers, but is still beloved by fans today.  If Frost were to fizzle as a coach in Lincoln (which I doubt he will), I don't really see that hurting him overall in the eyes of most fans, especially in the long run.  I think a lot more fans would be mad at him if he skips over going to Nebraska, but joins a new team this year or in the next couple.

Wow one guy was saying his source says they already have SF locked up and that's why they aren't connected to many coaches, they can pay more than us and he won't come home because if it didn't go well it'd tarnish his image. This guy was 99% sure that SF is going to UT. That doesn't match our 200% source!

Too many fans with "sources" which makes it hard for me to completely believe fans on any boards that claim insider info.  Even the legit sources are probably not people that talk to Frost daily.  I could easily see him leaning one way, but changing his mind later.

  7. A former Husker player that has had success as a head coach to lead the team would be great.  There aren't many out there of course, but I think that type of person would understand the program and what needs to be done to fix it better than most, which is why I think the overwhelming number of Nebraska fans want Scott Frost.

I think we'd all be a little naive to believe the extension given to AD White won't play a role in this.

It is probably another last ditch effort to try to get Frost to stay.  The amount of money and years we are supposedly throwing at him in addition to being a former Husker great, I would think he'd feel safe coming to Nebraska knowing that he is going to get a long time to right the ship.

  9. I'd say the majority of rumors over the last few days haven't been too positive on Frost coming to Nebraska except for a couple posters on this site.  I really hope we get Frost.  I have a feeling we'll have to wait until after the championship game if UCF makes it to find out.  We'd probably be better off if they lost to South Florida, so we have no more teams trying to swoop in.
