The Dan Lebatard show is saying Chip wants two weeks to decide his next head coaching job, so Florida will turn their attention to Scott Frost.

So when is the Frost announcement supposed to come?  After the championship game if they get there or before?

If UCF beats SF, I would be surprised if they announced Scott Frost as the new Nebraska coach before the conference championship game.  Seems like that might be a distraction for the team.

I still can't bring myself to be more than 60% on Frost coming.   I feel like he'll give UCF an audience out of respect for giving him his first job before he signs anything.

I wanted Frost to be the coach 3 years ago.  I get depressed thinking about that.   

UCF still only number 15 in college football playoff rankings.  They'll never sniff the playoffs as a non-Power 5 school.

Need more Scott Frost to Nebraska rumors.... 

Big 12 is not adding anyone until 2024 at the earliest.  Even then, I wouldn't bet against them keeping it at 10 teams.  They felt no one was worthy enough last time.

UCF was in the Fiesta Bowl just a few years ago, not sure why they think it would be doomsday if he leaves and they keep an assistant to keep it going.

UCF would be better off paying an assistant 2 million a year than cripple their athletic department.   Even with that fund they hope to raise 1.5 million for would not be enough.

If Frost leaves, UCF should just hire one of the assistants. It has worked well for Toledo when their coaches are taken.

The AD and UCF want to put out there that they think Frost is coming back as much as possible in hopes that Scott will feel extremely guilty if he is thinking about leaving.  Even if Scott decides to stay this year, they'll have to go through this same song and dance every year until he leaves.  I hope Scott comes to Nebraska, but if he doesn't, I don't picture staying at UCF for more than 2 more years tops.

Both of my parents are from Nebraska, so I was raised a fan.  I visited the state a lot as a kid and went to some games. I usually go to a game a year these days.

I feel like it is more likely that he'll be the next Husker coach than not, but it is far from a given.  Even if he decides to stay at UCF, he'll have to deal with this stuff every year as long as he is successful because UCF will never be seen as a final destination spot by the national media.

A lot of UCF fans and even Gator fans still acting cocky and thinking there is no way Scott would come back to Nebraska.

Matt Campbell has 7 wins and 2 top 5 wins in his second season at Iowa State.

Riley is a .5 career coach.  These announcers want Nebraska to suck.

You can let Riley finish the season, but still say he is done.  

Hopefully, Scott is just referring to the it is a done deal talk, but is still leaning towards coming back.

I hope Nebraska gets Scott Frost.  While UCF's season in 2015 did go horribly, their last coach George O'Leary did have a lot of success there and got them to a Fiesta Bowl.  I don't really think Scott can do much of anything there that hasn't been done before, so I think staying there is wasting his time.  UCF will never make the playoffs as long as they are a non-Power 5 school.  The path to a playoff spot is at least possible with Nebraska if he got them back up on their feet.
