  1. Just out of curiosity, where do Husker fans think UCF's facilities rank out of 130 teams w/o researching them?
  2. From what I've heard, our bake sale has gone really well. It's definitely possible that we have the money.
  3. Milton is an athletic pocket passer, so it definitely works. I've heard from smarter people that Frost's offense is best with a dual threat QB. You need to have some mobility to make the defense pay for selling out on pass coverage and not blitzing, so I think a slow QB would struggle. Milton is fast enough to get us out of a bunch of third and longs, but he's more pocket passer than anything. I am curious to see what the offense would look like with a natural runner. I think they would run the QB a lot more. Right now, we run Milton to either make them pay for being unbalanced, on option plays, when there's blanket coverage, or we send the receivers deep and pick up third and longs. I think we would run a lot more option/draw plays if Milton was bigger or faster.
  4. As someone visiting/immigrating from a worse board, be thankful for your mods. You don't miss them until you have multiple Jessica's fighting over who's fake & vague info is more fake legit and taking over EVERY SINGLE THREAD like this one. And for the people drooling over Vedral, have you seen him play? He looks really freshman-ny at times. REALLY freshman-ny. You're better off recruiting a bunch of QBs and saying, "Be the next Milton. Did you see his numbers improve?"
  5. I'm not the most knowledgeable about recruiting stuff, there are people that get much more into it than me. But from my perspective, the star ratings are about the same with Frost as they were with O'Leary. I've heard that Frost hates recruiting. But the players that he gets fit the system well and better than O'Leary. So it's tough to say if he's smarter than the recruiting sites or if he is just better at identifying players that fit needs. I'm not talking about points, but it's a high-risk defense. They go for turnovers A LOT and get burned by big plays way more frequently than I remember with O'Leary. The penalties are really high and the freakin arm tackles drive me nuts. Have you watched UCF games? The arm tackles are embarrassing. Someone wrap someone up! The defense is not bad and if Frost left and we replaced him with Chinander, I wouldn't be pissed. There are just serious question marks. Enough that if I were you, I wouldn't cry if I didn't get Chinander.
  6. Chinander is good, but the defense has been inconsistent. Austin Peay put up 30ish points on us in one half. There have been other worrisome signs, as well. Like the insane amount of arm tackles. The UCF fans calls him Chinan(d)er because sometimes the d is there and sometimes it's not.
  7. I think that most UCF fans realize that Frost is not talking like someone who is dead-set on leaving, but he is certainly not talking like someone that is staying. My friends think he's gone.
  8. But what we know about Frost is that he is more calculating than blindly confident. He was offered head coaching gigs for 2-3 years before he accepted UCF's offer. Why? We're a pretty good place to work, we're fantastic for a G5, but why would he pick us over other programs? He's using different criteria than other coaches and no one knows what it is, we can only speculate.
  9. In-N-Out only makes sense if you live in California. All the food is so expensive, so to have a cheap, fast burger with great toppings (animal style) feels surreal. But I get why people don't like it and the fries suck (they're acceptable animal style). Why is no one talking about Five Guys? There's a possibility that Frost wants to end his career at Nebraska, but not begin it there. Coaches have a shelf-life these days. Maybe he doesn't want to run out of goodwill while he's still gaining experience. I think he probably will be at Nebraska, but it's very possible he's saying "not yet".
  10. Not a huge fan of putting personal information on a message board, but I'm in Colorado.
  11. Yeah, that must suck to have some other fanbase lusting after your coach. I feel bad for you.
  12. So is it sealed up like a calzone? What kind of bread is that?
  13. I don't really post, I lurk. The unmoderated board I'm on is the free Rivals one and I also lurk on the csnbbs AAC board. The later is a conference board and not a great source of info, but the reasonable UCF fans seem to hang out there. FYI, the Rivals UCF board is flooded with "Nebraska" fans, but there are enough real fans apologizing that y'all look better than other fanbases.
  14. This is why I wish that we had mods on the UCF board. Someone like her would troll the board for weeks with "I've got big news, it's coming just you wait!" and "Something just changed that makes it difficult to prove if I'm trolling. Stay tuned!!" Sorry, I saw a link in the inbox and thought it was spam. I am now vaguely representing.
  15. If she's my alter ego and she got banned, then..I'm..free...now? Am I Tyler Durden?
  16. So here's the deal with 0-12. O'Leary always said that he wouldn't leave until it wasn't fun anymore. After the Fiesta Bowl win, he started grooming a former player (Brent Key) to take over. The UCF fans were excited about Key, because of his recruiting prowess. But UCF fans noticed that the offensive line he was coaching was underperforming. Then he got promoted to offensive coordinator and assistant head coach before the 2016 season and everyone was nervous that the handpicked successor was an idiot. When the team badly underperformed at the start of the season, everyone knew we were screwed. O'Leary had the school by the balls, but if UCF could make it "not fun" for him, he and his successor would go away. This is my theory for why things went so badly and why UCF fans consider 0-12 more of hit we had to take to move on instead of a program collapse.
  17. TY, I appreciate that. I've been around here because I'm off work, just as anxious to hear about Frost as you, and appreciating actual discussion on a message board not littered with trolls. I lurk way more than I post, but if I'm going to spend time posting on one of these boards, this will probably be the one.
  18. I think his parents live in some town spelled "Lincoln", but it's actually pronounced like that amazing band, Linkin Park. It doesn't matter, he wouldn't have time to see them if he moved, I think he just had his first kid. Who wants the grandparents bothering you all the time to watch your kid?
  19. When Frost does talk about staying at UCF, he usually mentions his relationship with White, so DW leaving would be a plus for y'all. Really good. Only problem is he keeps talking about how he misses having 4 seasons, friendly people, and pheasant hunting. Why do you ask?
  20. White was mentioned as a candidate for jobs before Frost blew up. And our new basketball coach is looking good, too. 2 solid hires in the two main sports, maybe we should be starting an Athletic Direction Excellence Fund...
  21. This is a fair point. White's name gets thrown around a lot, too. Though obviously not as much as Frost.
  22. I just visited the UCF Rivals board. It's frightening over there. The UCF fans have gone feral because of the (possibly) Nebraska trolls who all sound like this guy: Have y'all gotten a lot of UCF trolls here? A couple people said they got banned on Husker Board. I've felt quite welcome, but I haven't seen any other UCF fans on here.
