  1. Yikes. Three of those highlights were against the high school I graduated from including a 93 yrd TD run, 55 yrd TD run and a 43 yrd TD run where he just mows down the safety. Looks like they suck just a bad as when I played there. We won a total of 3 games combined my Jr. & Sr. years. And the league wasn't the highest caliper of competition either although that was a long time ago. Things change. But Wandale looks to be the real deal.

  2. 39 minutes ago, macroboy said:

Bo 'hired' his buddies.' Many people were upset that Riley brought so many of his friends from Oregon State. Frost has done all of this but it is OK because he won an NC here?

I could be wrong but it probably has more do with the fact he and his staff took over a program that was 0-12 two years ago and went undefeated in his second season. Taking a G5 school to a New Years Day bowl with the big boys. Would you rather he come in and try to put together a bunch of strangers from scratch?

I'm ecstatic he was able to bring his entire staff including some support personnel. They will be able to hit the ground running and won't have to wait for a bunch of guys thrown together to get to know each other, gel (or start in-fighting and back stabbing as seen before) and learn the system they are going to teach.

It has been a while since we've had a truly cohesive staff IMHO and from all that we have heard these coaches work together as a unit very well and I believe the results will be seen on the field in fairly short order.

  3. While things didn't work out for Tanner the way everyone hoped they would he always conducted himself with class in a way I would expect from a Husker. And between the lack of execution of the OL and WR plus some questionable play calling I think he gave it his all and did the best he could. Even in pressers after tough games he kept his cool. I'm with everybody else in thinking this is best for both him and the team.

I wish him the best and hope he can stick at some NFL team. After seeing a lot of backups this year I could see it happening.

  4. New interview with Adrian Martinez on Sharp & Benning this morning. I think this one is even more impressive than the one yesterday on USC. Benning can hardly contain himself. It wouldn't surprise one bit to see him starting next fall and be a 4 year starter. I get the feeling this kid could be a very special player.

Sure is nice to have some true hope going forward with the way things are shaping up. It has been a long, long time since I felt this optimistic about the future in Lincoln. Thanks Moos. I can't wait for spring ball to start.

  5. If this turns out to be true it is a pretty exciting time for DONU football. Green/Bounds seem to be on point in getting the program back in the game. I've been nothing but impressed every time I've heard Moos speak. Sure seems like a great hire so far. And if Scott does indeed return the fan base will be united in way I don't think we've seen since the '90's. I don't expect miracles but look forward to watching the games again instead of dreading another beat down at the hands of teams we used to beat down. I know the UCF games I watched this year have been fun. Hope he can bring that to NU (if indeed he does come back. I trust Hedley put part me says don't get too excited until it official. The letdown would be devastating if things go south).

Anybody else looking forward to the Spring Game? Barring inclement weather, I bet we fill the place up.
