  1. Jeez...I have heard so many rumors today, it will last me a lifetime. Since everyone is throwing rumors, here is one...I heard that Mike Riley and Bob Diaco just signed a $2 million deal with bud light to star in their “Pit of Misery....dilly dilly” commercials...it features The Moos sending them to the pit of misery where they join Bo and Callahan.
  2. I am really hoping that Scott Frost is a done deal or else we are in trouble. It seems like all the other teams are jumping to hire coaches right away and they are not waiting for a week. If Scott Frost decides to stay at UCF, we are royally screwed because all the good coaches will already be snagged. Sumlin, Mullen, and Jimbo Fisher are already committed to some of the open jobs. It will not be long before the rest are also committed. Let us hope that Scott Frost is Lincoln bound and that we have ourselves a Frosty Christmas full of hope and husker pride.
  3. Finally, at least now some of the members on this board with conspiracy theories that the media is out to get us can be put to rest. It seems like we will be having a Frosty Christmas after all...that is all I want for Christmas this year. Thank you Santa Moos.
  4. As I stated earlier in my quote, there is no winning with you...it seems like you watch a different ESPN than the one I watch. No one is saying that Florida is the front runner. May be you are hearing it that way or interpreting it that way. I have watched ESPN all weekend and they said all kinds of iffy stories because nothing is 100% certain until it is said and done. I have a good feeling that Scott will announce after his championship game. However, until then the media will speculate. That is their job. I do not know what your first sentence is about but it seems like other members have disagreed with your opinion. That is what this board is about, isn’t it? If you can’t handle someone questioning your opinions, may be you should not post. I am simply saying that the conspiracy theories that some fans have against the media need to stop because it sends the wrong message. Nebraska fans are the best fans in college football and the media has always openly stated that even during our miserable game against Iowa. This thread is about getting Scott Frost and not about you winning an argument. If you do not like my opinion then ignore me. I will definitely do that as it seems like you are very unreasonable.
  5. I completely agree with you. The ones who are passionate are the ones from our state and I did mention that Riley ignored the homegrown talent. In fact, the Nebraska kids who grew up dreaming of becoming Huskers played their butts off. Also, Drew Brown because of his older brother playing for Nebraska, you could see his emotions and how disappointed he was. The rest of the team did not seem too disappointed in the results. That is why I strongly believe that having Scott, one of their own, coaching these guys and instilling husker pride will pay dividends very quickly. Let us hope so...GO BIG REG. RESTORE HUSKER PRIDE.
  6. Obviously you seem to be one of those people that always wants to have the last word in and always wants to be right...so there is no point in arguing with you since there is no convincing you that you might possibly be wrong...the fact is that the media has not always been biased against us...we just have not done anything positive over the past decade for us to merit positive energy from the media. Last year, when we were 7-0, a lot of people were saying positive things but then when it mattered most and we had to prove ourselves, we faltered like a paper dragon. It is the media’s job to speculate and sell stories. The fact is that we are not 100% sure that Frost is coming to Nebraska until an announcement is made. Until then, everyone is free to speculate. What we, as fans, need to stop is trying to act like the world hates us and conspires against us. Until we are relevant and we start playing like true Huskers, we will not be favored in a lot of discussions. RESPECT IS EARNED MY FRIEND...REMEMBER THAT.
  7. According to mavric, Scott Frost to Nebraska is as good as done...at least, that is what I concluded from the details he gave.
  8. I am assuming you were a part of all these negotiations since you have so much detail...let us hope you are right...I actually trust in the Moos.
  9. Scott Frost is a smart guy. If he is to leave for a P5 conference, his best option is Nebraska, his alma mater, because he knows that the fans will be patient and will appreciate the team playing hard and competing more so than an immediate conference championship. He will have an entire state supporting him like they did with Osborne. Going to Florida is a horrible decision. Plus it is easier to explain to his players leaving to go to his alma mater than leaving to go to Florida. Even ESPN analysts are already linking Tennessee with Dan Mullen and not Frost. From THE MOOS interview, it seems he was calm because he knew that he is going to give the fans what they want and he appreciates the fans for being so patient. I think it is just a matter of waiting until after the conference championship to announce. Hopefully next Sunday or Monday by the latest.
  10. Actually, ESPN did say on a number of occasions that Nebraska is interested in Frost and that it is his alma mater and he might accept the job. Let us not add to the hype of them against us. That does not help our cause and simply shows us as petty fans.
  11. Our team under Riley was playing with no confidence or heart. It was extremely obvious just by looking at them during the tunnel walk. A bunch of guys that do not understand or respect the tradition of the tunnel walk. If you contrast this with the Pelini teams exiting the tunnel walk, the difference was glaring. Don’t misunderstand my comments, I do not think Bo was able to consistently beat ranked teams and he was let go more for his behavior on the sideline and his comments that were recorded. Nevertheless, the players had husker pride. Riley’s teams never understood husker pride. How can you when the coach buys you ice cream for losing. I strongly believe that Frost would be successful very quick because he can get our players to respect husker pride and play hard to represent husker nation. We have good players, they just need to play with swagger and belief. Northwestern got to 9 wins through coaching. They have much less talent all around when compared to us but their coach knows how to coach. Frost will be successful and I would not be surprised if he gets 9 wins in his first season at Nebraska...assuming he takes the job of course.
  12. Unfortunately, it seems like the list after Frost is not very promising. I like Petersen but I doubt he will come here as he just got an extension signed. The other names on that list are coaches who might need three years to rebuild and that will be another painful process. I feel that Frost can at least instill some mental and physical toughness in our players. Maybe recruit the players from our own backyard that Iowa has been pummeling us with over the past three years. It is so painful to see so much homegrown talent we pass on only to have these guys beat us soundly when we play against them. I said it before and I will say it again, our players under Riley have been softer than Tom Brady’s footballs from deflate gate.
  13. May be I am missing something here, but Bob Stoops is no longer the Head Coach for the Sooners. Why wouldn't he want to coach elsewhere? Why not try building a program in the BIG 10?
  14. Does anyone have any idea who the SIX people he has on his list are? Just curious to know? I am sure Scott Frost is top of that list but who are the other five? I am sure Chip Kelly is not one of them since in his interview, he already knew that Chip Kelly was going to UCLA. Any idea?
