    What?

    Never heard of of him.

That's a major fail for such an awesome thing they got going.

Well I don't think you probably fit into the target audience that is going to dominate the attendance at this event then.

Sure there are bigger names out there, but he's definitely a rising name in country music.

Corners don't throw for 3000 yards and 34 TDS, with an extra 800 on the ground and 12 more TDs.

If he's not a QB, I hope he is on offense.  Corners usually just play bracket coverage, zone, back pedal, or run routes against a receiver.

This player seems more suited to be a threat on offense.  But, it sure seems like he will be an athlete playing defense and learning in college how to tackle and stuff.

Worked out alright for Cam Taylor Britt.

I say it's for 7 of the staff members.  It's missing the WR, TE, and LB coaches who were all hired later in the process.

I would assume with little experience those three are all around 300k each or below. So that leaves about 1 million for support staff if that's included in the 7 million figure originally thrown out.

  4. There are always a few casualties in a transition class. It also doesn't help that we don't actually have a LB coach here recruiting yet. Plus, he has a chance to go to a playoff team so who can blame him.

We'll be fine and I'm excited to see a full recruiting class from this staff next year.

I like rhule but don't believe in offering a bunch of 0 star kids scholarships. I know he has some experience getting lowly recruited guys to the nfl but was hoping to see Rhule develop 4 star players. Will this be our lowest recruiting class ever? Tell me what I am missing?

You can't put much into transition classes to start with, plus many of these coaches haven't been in the college game this past year so they don't have connections to many kids.

Give him some time to build relationships and show something on the field. I think they'll be just fine.

If this is the direction they are going, I sure as hell hope he has an assistant O Line coach under him.  He would be doing all the game planning, play calling....along with coaching the largest group of players on the team.  That's way too much for one guy, in my opinion.

I hope he's OC and TE coach, with separate OL, RB, WR, and QB/ST coaches. The fact that TE's will usually go with OL or WR makes this much more doable for an OC to handle, plus he's then involved with more position groups.

That also then leaves 5 coaches just for defense or help with ST: DL, LB, DB, Edge?, DC

I don't get it. Unless you have been under a rock, or just hate Iowa that much (or maybe both), "The Wave" has been recognized as one of the best sports traditions in the country. Yes, better than littering the countryside with a bunch of red balloons and better than the fake "sellout streak".

We will see you at Kinnick on Friday (assuming you are one of those great Husker fans). Be sure to show your hatred by sitting on your hands at the end of the first quarter while everybody else stands and waves at the kids that may be in the battle of their lives. In fact, it would be REALLY awesome if somebody could start a movement in which every single Husker fan in the stadium, along with the team, would just ignore "The Wave". Maybe that is how you could show your dominance, as for the last 20 years you have not shown it on the field. Yes, indeed, that would be great if every fan and the team would just boycott it.

See you at Kinnick on Friday!

That's the thing though. The team and fans did wave at the kids, but an Iowa band member tried to stir up hate by saying they didn't.

It is a nice tradition, one that Nebraska has taken part in.
