I know your talking about Tommi Hill but Blye Hill as well??  Blye Hill just transferred in so you would think he still needs to learn the defense.

He may Still need to learn the defense but if he can Cover and tackle better then the others the Learning defense calls will come.  Give me a 6'3 Corner who can cover all day long.

Clark is a piece of work.  Every time she shoots she is asking & complaining about getting fouled!  Lol

That was a horrible play after a time out

She fits in well with this generation. Everyone may hate her but she is a hell of a baller. If she was playing for NU it would be ok lol.

I absolutely agree with all of the Clark and Bluder comments. They better enjoy this season bc it will be rough. With that said, to put it bluntly, you CANT blow an 8 pt lead with 2 min left to play. A poor 3 pt shot early in the shot clock directly led to a Clark 3 at the other end.  Eat clock, get it inside, poor execution in the last 9 sec out of timeout and bad decisions late in OT cost us.  Just disappointing!!! But, this team overachieved this year and in the tournament. Future is bright!!

No way i play for OT with the Way Iowa was closing it out.  The play or what ever that was drawn up to finish the 4th was terrible.

  4. Welp....  Washington will be the old Washington next year.

If DR can just complete some deep balls it will open the offense up some. We are going to run the ball regardless but i think we have added more then enough to be able to stretch the field.

Fields? He was working at Rover but I think was dealing with some minor injuries. Coaches spoke highly of him, but I don't recall them going out of their way to bring him up. I do hope he grows into an LB though, we've got more rover-type guys on the roster than we do LBs at the moment.

Yess  Fields. I can see him being a year 3 kid. If he can grasp it and build some strength and keep his speed dude would be a beast in this defense.

Yeah, Raiola is N. He'll be arriving for his weekend OV soon, and they'll be shooting a commitment announcement video when he gets there.

As far as the competition side goes, it sounds like Raiola is OK with not being guaranteed the starting job this year, he just wants a legit chance to compete for it (probably not happening at Georgia if Beck comes back). As for the McCords, I think they (and particularly his dad) were OK with a QB competition until they saw who the competition was going to be. Dad got panicky and started making more demands, and apparently it reached the point where Rhule threw up his hands and said we're not gonna be able to do this.

As far as another 1-year bridge guys goes, I haven't heard any names. But look at that tweet I posted about Cam Ward - he didn't just name drop us out of the blue, you know? Rhule is probably trying to get in the ear of any top portal QB who will listen, with whatever dollar figure 1890 can provide.

As much as i would love this. It aint happening. Can Promise you that. lol

Sure, but we threw money at Sims who was arguably considered a potential NFL prospect (at the time), Wisconsin threw it at Mordecai, Card at Purdue, etc. You can throw money at kids until you're blue in the face, however at the core, success comes down to development and execution.

Im not disagreeing with you at all.  s#!t we prob win 9 games with Card or Mordecai at Qb.  Both were way more serviceable passing then what we had.

Yeah... no chance that happens, but nice in theory.

What's frustrating is that many fans think it is as simple as just throwing money at the recruits/kids and boom we win 10+ games. I would argue that development of talent and focused practice of repetition are the keys to success. Not saying the donors are irrelevant by any means, but that money is not what has stopped us from being a winning program recently.

I mean to be fair had we had a Good to elite QB on roster this year we would possibly been a 9-10 win team.

lol But yes I get what your says. I wish it worked that way.

This is going to come off as “poo-pooing” NUs defense this year and I really don’t mean it to.  The defense is undeniably the strength of this year’s team.

But White’s DC resume at NU now really isn’t a lot different than from a calendar year ago.  He stops bad offenses like he’s supposed to.  But so far, not much success against teams like Michigan, or even Colorado…(year at Nebraska)

Hes a great and super smart guy that deserves a shot at a head gig.  But I don’t think it’s based on his performance at NU.  The Huskers are just the latest notch in his belt.

Disagree. The only team that has handled us was Michigan. Colorado was doing nothing until our offense decided to keep giving the ball right back. This defense has been the life of this team and has only really been suspect when they have been throw back on the field the whole second half.

Imagine a this defense if our offense dominated TOP week in and week out.

Does Satterfield make some bad play calls yes. It is also hard to judge what he can really do cause we have no QBs and they turn the ball over so much. Not saying he is good, but they have had some really bad luck with injuries on offense. 2 of our top 3 rbs got hurt. Washington out and Kemp has been out at times as well. Is the offensive line great? No. But they have shown signs of improvement especially in the run game. Still a lot of work to do but hopefully they can add a couple guys to get better on the line going forward. If we had an average QB they would be at least 7-3 right now. Just need a QB that can pass the ball to our guys and scramble to get yards when needed.

S Carolina fans say otherwise too lol

So this group of offensive players, led by Haarberg or Purdy (Frost’s QB’s) , with Frost as OC, would be successful this season ???  Is that what you’re saying?

It’s the level of talent, not the coaching.

Which Nebraska offensive player would start on Maryland’s offense?  Oh, none?
    It’s not Satterfield.

    Im going to say yes!!

Scott isn't doing anything...maybe we can get him back :D

I mean Scott scored more points then we do now. His offense with Whites defense we may be 10-3.  Not scott the head coach. Scott as OC only.

Very frustrating and a little confusing… like why now? I could maybe understand after the first couple games, but why when we are running the ball well and knowing he would prob be a day one starter?

Alabama…f#&%ers. It’s like when you go to a dance and you’ve been dancing with the hottest girl all night, then to find out you have been in the friend zone the whole time when she goes home with the star quarterback.

LMAO why???  The kids are 17,18,19 years old. Colleges recruiting them is like them chasing girls. They dont know what they want. They think they do until they see some thing different. Have 100 different people telling them what they should do.

I dealt with this with both my boys with recruiting and where they wanted to go and end up. And they werent even big time recruits.

I really honestly dont think alot of people understand how the recruiting can impact and play with these kids lives and familys until they have had to sit down and deal with it for 2-3 years and watch it play out.

On a side note Lacys team is moving on to the 2nd round after their win tonight.

If they were so great, then why did Solich end up as a MAC coach after being fire, and why did Pelini end up as an FCS coach? Interesting how everybody complained about us firing Solich and Pelini, but no power conference team (and no FBS team in Pelini's case) hired them themselves.

Also, why did they go 115-82 and 33-28 against the lousy competition at their new jobs if they were so great? Wouldn't just about any Power 5 level (let alone Nebraska level) coach beat just about everybody while coaching at those lower levels?

Pelini was a winner here and his players loved him. Sorry he yelled at your son or didnt play him.

Solich ran into the NFL Hurricanes at the wrong time. Thats all..
