So do football players get Tommy John surgery like baseball players? I don’t think I’ve ever heard of a football player having a torn UCL. Speedy recovery, Mr Hall
Yes sir, my son tore his last year during a game making a tackle. Had surgery and is back 100..

Anyone seen Fleeks?

I like Hartzog but please keep him away from Hunter. That could get ugly quick.
I feel we will do good against the run but only cause they are dink and dunking our DB's to death.
Offensively I have no Idea what to expect if Irvin doesn't get 20-25 carries and another 10-15 from Sims. lol

If and as the Texas Recruiting grows so will the win numbers.
Side note Duke makes me sick lol. I know they aren't that much more talented than us or Are they?

If every other offense in the nation can utilize slants, underneath drags and out route combos why cant we?

They missed our TD before the half and just didn't think there was enough evidence to overturn as well. It is what it is. If we had 1 or 2 less turnovers or the defense doesn't drop that last INT opportunity the Cornhuskers win the game anyways. The refs could help, but Nebraska is still its own worst enemy.
That's the killer. He doesn't drop that it game over. We gave them another shot. They didn't miss.

With 4 turnovers it doesn't matter if the refs miss a call or two. Also, as was pointed out above, that likely doesn't change the play call by Minnesota or the outcome.
Well had they called that False Start on the LT that play wouldn't have been a TD. May have got it on the next play but that one would have been called dead.

Rhule is just like every other Husker coach named Frost. Hype up a RB for them to get 4 Carrie’s.
GRANT can stay in Minny
where was Fidone?
Defense was nice at times.

Could be a clear case of Irvin has shown the willingness to hit the holes designed to be hit. Grant likes to dance and bounce outside when he could have got a yard or two more just hitting the hole. I can see running back coach now being a Down Hill type of guy.

It would be great to gain his commitment soon. I know the Huskers started fast in recruiting but I think if we were to add him his and Carter Nelson recruiting win would be huge. HC Matt Rhule has laid the foundation to build on. As long as him and his staff can develop which his past has proven he can then we should be winning by year 3. Yes adding all those teams from the PAC-12 doesn't help but if we take care of what we can control ourselves then I wouldn't be concerned at all. Just need recruit's to not leave after there first and second year of being here in order to develop them the right way.
Rhule is laying a nice foundation. I need to see these guys on Campus and suiting up before I can get to excited about big time Commits with our history as of Late.

Of everything to teach a running back natural vision has to be the hardest.
Unteachable. You either have vision for the position or you don't. Along with Vision is patience. Those 2 combined is a must IMO.

In Nebraska practices officially start August 7th. I would guess a lot of schools do conditioning work the week before that. The first games are on about August 25th.
I doubt many states are later than that. I'm sure some states are earlier, like Texas.
1st scrimmage here is the 12th of August.

Pains me to say this cause im a run the ball guy but I think for us to be successful we have got to be almost great at passing offense. If we can throw for 300 or close a game the 1st few games the run game will open up. If we struggle to throw we know how that story plays out.
Pass defense i think will improve a bit only cause we are in the B1G lol.

Matthews goes #28 overall to the Astros and Anderson goes to the Tigers in the 2nd round. Pretty awesome for those two.
Big jump for Matthews to get selected that early. Pretty yuck about the Astro’s organization, in addition to being a division rival (my mediocre M’s).
Regardless, good luck to the both of them and other Husker draftees.
Welcome home Mr Mathews. Going to be a tough breakin to get in the lineup in the infield. But I could see him coming and taking form Husker Jake myers spot in Center.

What did we learn? NIU Edition

Did out 1st team defense give up more then 100 yards on the night. If I recalled NIU only moved the ball when the 3rd squad guys were out there.
