  1. He is a kid that is hard to read. Until he commits somewhere, it appears no one will know, including Wiltfong, where he is headed. He will likely say great things about Nebraska after his visit there next weekend. The only thing I feel really good about is his relationship with his uncle maybe is his closest. Yes that didn’t help the first time around, but it appears he likes Rhule much more than Scott “The Drinking” Frost.

Don't want him.  I could look past that he has no stars but the fact he doesn't weigh anything and has not height is a deal breaker

Recruiting services don’t know about him yet. But Rhule and staff see something in him.

  3. Winning in the future will of course be a key. But during  years where there are more overlooked three-star players available that  Rhule really likes, including local kids, would produce perhaps 15-20 ranked classes. And just seeing so far how he recruits it wouldn’t surprise me he brings in a few top 15, such as this year’s if DR comes.

Visiting for the big Junior Day

Wow, the talent continues to grow for that day. If DR does commit, it’s very realistic for N to have a top 15 if not a top 10 class.  I say maybe top 15 but by choice with Rhule including some overlooked but high-ceiling three-star  talent.

I think the longer this drags out the better for us.  We're trending upwards relative to that last inept staff.  Can't imagine him taking longer to decide is a plus for USC who is already flying high.

That being said, a player of his caliber stands to benefit greatly from committing early so he can peer recruit.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, I have no idea wtf im talking about and should probably be spending my time on more productive things in life than trying to analyze and base my happiness off the decision of a 17 year old.   :wasted

That’s a very honest reply. Neither do I know, except some 17-year-old who probably doesn’t know yet either. :)

  6. It looks like this is going to drag on into spring. Callahan says he is scheduled to visit Oregon I believe the third week in April. Let’s hope Nebraska puts on an huge positive impression with the March 24 visits. This will be one of the biggest recruiting weekends ever. N has really loaded up on bringing in top talent.

I don’t see it as peer recruiting as much as seeing who is interested in going to Nebraska with him and based on those responses if DONU is really an option.

If they aren’t interested, he’s developing relationships that will help him peer recruit them elsewhere. He needs to see what Nebraska would look like talent wise if he comes here.

That is probably it. So he may be doing the same thing with USC and GA.

  8. I’m trying to keep a level head. We don’t know if he is still talking to top recruits after the USC visit. I have read he was doing peer recruiting for OSU before he decommitted. So I don’t know how current this is.

     I think it's true.

There have been a number of top recruits, especially on the offensive side, that have claimed that he's contacted them about playing together at Nebraska.

That doesn’t sound like a USC lean. The question is has he continue to do peer recruiting for Nebraska after the USC visit?

Dude could be just another Baker, Kyler, Caleb Williams or another hand picked Lincoln Riley guy. Come on now lol. We have or had..Tanner Lee? Not quite sure who Rhule has in the NFL.

All I can say is whether I like it or not, USC makes a lot of sense. The Husker family connections could come into play, but maybe not. No one knows what’s in the kid’s head. I get what you are saying. It’s just that it won’t be just him and Nelson. Most likely USC will recruit another big name in the 2025 recruiting class and on and on from there.  That’s what I was getting at. I don’t see that at Nebraska. Yes there will probably be another Baker, Kyler or Celeb. But it’s far from guaranteed it will be Dylan. But if he picks USC I will hope for his success.

  11. As it stands right now it’s USC. Since he is visiting USC after the Nebraska and Oregon visits, the big question is will one of his officials be back to Nebraska? If yes, we may still be in the running. The family wants to check things out thoroughly. But as of right now it doesn’t look good for Nebraska. But will dad remind him that once he would be enrolled at USC, he would be just another player, unlike at Nebraska. So who knows.

  12. Didn’t Fred have two time outs left against MN with 7 seconds left? I didn’t have any sound where I was watching it. So I wasn’t sure. But if he did, why didn’t he use one to design a play?

  13. Nebraska will really have to lay down the red carpet,  and show Dylan the visit of his life to get him. I fear more now with another visit to USC, it will be hard to convince him to N unless family ties are more important. Plus USC is very strong academically.

Meh.  We don't want him anyway.  Ole what's his name says he will be a bust.

Hearing that USC is pressuring Dylan to cancel his GA and Nebr visits.

I don't know this to be fact.

Just hearing it from a fairly reliable source.

Either that makes him commit there now, or that makes Dylan and the family angry. And he then decides between GA and N, if true of course. I tend to think they don’t want to be rushed.

The biggest issue that comes into play is the success rate of Lincoln Riley coached QBs. No one can dispute the guys he has had in his system and the success they have had in college and into the NFL.

What brings him to Nebraska is his family connections and IF he wants to live in that 'shadow' of his dad and what he did for Nebraska during his career. He goes to USC and does well it is to be expected. He comes to Nebraska and the pressure to succeed is way higher in my opinion. If it doesn't go as planned the fan base will be relentless on him....

I really hope he ends up at Nebraska, but I just don't see him being able to not go to play for Riley or even Kirby. Hoping I am wrong and will very happy if does end up playing of the Huskers.

He has a visit scheduled to Lincoln soon after GA. Perhaps that will remind him why he was possibly leaning to Nebraska before the USC visit. With his passion for Nebraska and if he believes the N coaches can develop him as good, hopefully USC won’t make a difference. Yes, USC makes a lot of since, but he may have different priorities, different needs and wants that only he understands. So what seems logical doesn’t always play out. I truly believe N is still in the running, but if he goes to USC it won’t surprise me.

  17. My last reply I was a bit out of context. What I was trying to say is after the GA visit, I expect Dylan will trend back to Georgia, and after the N visit, he will hopefully be reminded of the whole family’s passion for Nebraska and why he was possibly leaning toward them before. I think Wiltfong’s accuracy ratings are a bit misleading. Does he count in them with his change in the crystal balls in the last minute before a recruit commits? Did he count his accuracy when he had a crystal ball for Coleman to Colorado and then back to Nebraska right before the recruit committed? Wiltfong doesn’t really know until right before the prospect commits — kind of like what direction a snowstorm is coming. We have come up with all kinds of scenarios, but we don’t know truly what’s most important to him. It could be any of them.
