  1. The issue I have with the onside kick, is that even a surprise onside kick should be based on your circumstances. The circumstances didn't match the move in my opinion. To perform an onside kick as a surprise, our defense needed to be playing a much tighter game and the offense would have needed that extra possession to seal the deal. If we just boot the ball downfield , we give Northwestern the whole field to string together a drive, which they proved they really couldn't do consistently. NW did have success moving the ball 25-40 yards each possession, so we gave them a touchdown on that drive.

My other reasoning is that if we lose to NW and we never tried the onside up 28-17, you would not have heard one fan say, "If we would have done an onside kick after that last score we would have won! Frost is dumb for not trying that". Frost made a decision that put the little momentum and positives we had going for us in jeopardy, and it bit us in the a$$.

It appears Bushwackers (You old dudes and married dudes probably use that term for different reasons) is opening at 8am with a tailgate, 10 dollar cover, 2 "free" drinks, breakfast and a 27 foot LED screen with the game on.

    Meet you there?

This is my first post.  I couldn't find anything in a search about this, so here it is:

Do you have an opinion on or factual info about which cable or streaming service offers the best value as well as access to all of Nebraska's football games?

Personally I don't care to make time for watching anything other than Nebraska athletics and occasionally other Big Ten football games.  Usually I will just pick one to sign up for at the start of football season and then cancel at the conclusion of bowl season.  Am I cheap? Naaw..

    Thanks for the input!

Do you happen to be my long-lost Alaskan/Husker brother?.....or sister?

I just think we should be able to land all in state high profile players.

I'm not going to pretend to know more about this situation than I do. But I believe the interest on our side was lacking, if Mickey had really wanted this guy, he probably could have got him. However it feels like a decent amount of these guys we don't get pop-off at another school and we regret it later.

After last year, I really don't know what to expect. Last year, I fully expected us to get slaughtered by OU, Michigan and Sparty. We hung in there with all of them. Didn't we hold Sparty to 14 yds total offense, 2nd half? Wasn't that with a heisman hopeful at RB? Memory is blurry these days with all the ups and downs with this team. I am trying to be hopeful and positive, but this team needs some breakout wins (captain obvious). With all the transfer additions, I would not be surprised with an 8-9 win season. Defense was an issue heading into spring....we addressed with some transfers. QB was also. We are loaded at RB, WR and improvement on Special teams. It's like I want to drink the kool-aid, but I am so beat down, Im afraid to.

    GBR!!!

At this point the Huskers are like a toxic girlfriend I keep going back too.

Lemme tell ya, I'm ready to get hurt again.

Not pictured Ajay Allen, Emmett Johnson

That's a badass picture right there. In a perfect world they all play and contribute on some level, unfortunately I think at the very least 1 of four is gone by next year.

I think our LBs have been solid, workmanlike, fundamentalists and credit Ruud. They play like the Ruud boys (good).  Maybe not superstars but tend to not let the team down.

Definitely read that as womanlike and couldn't figure out what you were getting at. But I totally agree now that I read it a second time.

  8. Nebraska QB ‘really impressed’ Streeter with strong Swinney Camp showing | The Clemson Insider

“He said he was definitely really impressed with the way I threw,” Kaelin said. “His bottom line was basically that I definitely moved up a lot on their board from where I was after he got to see me throw.

Kaelin named Rutgers, Minnesota, Michigan State, Vanderbilt, Missouri and Duke as the schools standing out most to him right now, as far as the ones he’s been communicating with the most.

So are we just no longer going after him? We struck out with Raiola, we aren't even keeping him in the loop?

Why would you only have 3 super conferences?  If you have 4, it makes each one smaller to be able to get a better champion and then 4 for a playoff at the end of the year.

I don't know. Why did kamikaze's wear crash helmets?

Fair enough. I think only the top brands will survive with a new governing body. I think it's more likely the Top 50 or so are the top of the top, then the next group will be ahead of the FCS but clearly below the top Brands.

I agree- believe me, I cringed while putting new mexico and nmsu in a super conference.

Why would you even take the time to do this when you know thats not the direction it's headed?

It was copy paste, I didn't have anything to do for 15 minutes at work. And ultimately I think all the conferences will implode and a different governing body would guide the conferences to look something like this.

I know this goes directly against what is happening right now, but in speaking of super conferences, I would like to see them shake out something like this. The 4 super conferences take some stretching from lower caliber programs. The 3 super conferences keep every team I believe is worthy of P5. I just wanted to see what it would look like, and with the first conference alignment with 4 teams, almost every school plays within its own time zone - besides RMT and PST.
