I want those to be the full-time away uniforms. The more I see them the sicker they look with the gray face mask.
Don't mind the gray face masks, but I've never liked the stripes on the pants. Reminds me of Wisconsin.

I think Rahmir is just an awesome story, because despite the three other freshmen having gotten so much hype over the past two years he kept his head up and just keeps fighting for playing time.
If we were playing in the Big 12 he'd be the starter based on skill set and fit. In the B1G I think he just needs to continue to work on his vision; he's built roughly like Ameer except he's not particularly physical.
If he can find the seam he can get yards just based on his ability to explode forward, though. His speed was quite noticeable to me as well on that throw back pass.

Gary Pinkel used to play his backup QB for a couple drives almost every single game I believe just to get him reps in case the starter went down and to prep for his turn at the job
He had to give Chase Daniel a break now and then so he could get some booger eating in.

Gus Johnson is so annoying.

How TF did the defense not expect that play?

You HAVE to score points there. ugh.

Man... imagine if we could just get out of our own way. Feels like we can move the ball if we clean up the penalties. Huge if.

Well, we all knew OU would score points. Can we respond?

Not much pressure early.

I'm not sold on the helmets yet. The letters don't really fit nicely together and it feels kind of awkward/crowded. I'll be curious to see how they look on TV rather than close up photos. Lots of potential though!
I know we've had the "winning tradition" badge on the uniforms for a long time, but I have to admit I kind of like how the tops looks with out it.

Side note: I'm glad we took the stripes off the pants.

Second time I've heard references to coaches showing up late. I wonder if anything will ever come out about that?

What kills me is, 13 of our 21 losses during Frost's tenure have been by a score or less.
Despite everything surrounding this program, we've been that close to actually being decent.
I feel like a competent coach should be able to reach Pelini level numbers at Nebraska. We've routinely recruited the 4th best class in the Big 10 (although likely falling as of late), and we play in the easier division. 8 win seasons should be obtainable. I don't think that is a rose colored glasses outlook, just an honest one based on the resources we have. That's why I'll never understand the "if not Frost... who?" argument.
Although I don't know much, so maybe I'm off base here.

I've been hearing the same things, Hedley just confirmed it.
Yeah, I heard Frost hates runzas too.
In all seriousness, I'm not surprised about the whisperings. Something seems amiss and it sucks.

I have a couple questions off the bat...
1) How was the game knotted up?
2) What was your dream primarily about? The way you tell it, you were just checking in with the score when you got a free moment.
1) That's me being an idiot.
2) Yeah, I don't know. I might have been too afraid to watch, like in real life sometimes.

I had a dream last night that we were playing the Oklahoma game. It was knotted up at 17-27 for a while before I checked the final score to see Oklahoma won 44-24. I think I would be okay with that result.

If you go back to around the second to last page of this board, there's a poster that stated, "Joe Daily makes me moist."

It's called a deception play, not a trick play. It is no different then TO running an option pass back in the day or current teams running the quick passes to the sideline only to hit one deep off the same set-up. That is why they call those plays. Frost used LM to run options to the left against Maryland for a reason. He was setting up another play, whether it be against against Maryland that game or Iowa.
Sorry if we disagree about the definition of a trick play.
Not pulling hairs here because this is kind of silly, but to deceive somebody by definition means to trick someone.

I actually think we can win.
I watched the first 5 minutes of Ohio State v Miami yesterday and Miami was up 5-0! I stopped watching after that. Did anything else happen?
Ohio State scored a field goal but ultimately lost 3-5.

On the play where Illinois' offensive line didn't move, our defender did one of those "spear" tackles where they don't wrap up and hope the force of the hit knocks them down. Is this taught?

For sure. Just prefer the simplicity of the solid colored pants.
