  1. I like Tongo but I also just like watching offensive linemen from Utah. He's got the size and has exceptional eyes which you can see in his feet. He's strong, much stronger than most of the players he's going against so he uses his size to play bully ball and tends to shove defenders rather than drive them. Off of his junior film, he's much better than an 86, especially if he's really 6'4".
  2. I have no idea how good that competition is but he has incredible feet for a guy that big. Needs to work on his playing strength but that can be fixed in the weight room.
  3. McGahee sort of reminds me of Demorrio Williams. He’s got that same sort of toughness and football intelligence to go along with absurd acceleration.
  4. We’ve only ever had one, Jerry Tagge in 1972 was drafted 11th overall.
  5. That is an insane time. Bair's 10.28 would be the 7th fastest 100m time in UNL history. 1. 10.16 (+1.0) Chris Chandler 2000 2. 10.20 (+1.8) Malcolm White 2016 3. 10.24 (+1.8) Dusty Stamer 2004 3. 10.24 (+1.2) Scott Wims 2007 5. 10.25 (+0.2) Riley Washington 1994 6. 10.26A (+2.0) Travis Grant 1994 This list does exclude Charles Greene (Olympic gold medalist and former world record holder in the 100m), Don Quarrie (Olympic gold medalist), and Ronald Locke (world record holder in the 220y and 100y dash) as they ran a different distance in college.
  6. Pyle is a real throwback sort of lineman. He doesn't have great feet but has incredible strength at the point of contact and really good balance to finish his blocks. He's rough but not dirty, kind of a stereotypical offensive guard. It feels like his upside is Tanner Farmer.
  7. Murphy has a big frame, exceptional quickness and lateral agility, fires out low, and plays strong. Once he learns to use his hands better, he'll be really good.
  8. Off the top of my head, he's probably the most prominent 8-Man recruit nationally since Rashaan Salaam in 1992.
  9. Good looking athlete, he's not the most natural runner with the ball in his hands but those long, explosive strides mean that he gets open a bunch.
  10. Lefotu's film doesn't show a lot to work with. He's listed at 6'5" 300 lbs but doesn't play like that. There isn't one play on his highlights where he just physically dominates his opponent. All he shows is finesse and he isn't close to athletic enough to pull that off at the next level. He's a high cut guy with average playing strength. His playing style fits best in a one-gap, upfield defense where he can be rotated out regularly. He needs to be an unmovable anchor on the line but developed bad playing habits because he's surrounded by D1 talent. The skills he has that could translate are his lateral agility, active hands, and an ability to keep his hips square to the line. But he needs a ton of coaching and discipline if he's going to contribute at the P5 level. Additionally, he has a bad injury history. I really don't know about this offer. Which according to my track record of looking at prospects means that Lefotu will be all-conference.
  11. It’s speed. He just isn’t very fast. Williams is a really smart, instinctive player but doesn’t have that quick twitch athleticism off the snap that the top pass rushers possess.
  12. It’s not complicated. He’s a 320 lbs dude who can bend his knees and fire out low.
  13. I’m an idiot about the sped up film. Literally every video on HUDL is playing back 10% faster on my phone for some reason. Checked it out on the laptop and it looks normal. My bad. Anyways, Fields seems like a good 3-3-5 fit with his explosiveness. At the bare minimum, he’s a special teams beast.
  14. Totally, he attacks the ball like crazy in his game film and has great acceleration. The film just looks off to me. That is zero reflection on Eric Fields. He might be the second coming of Tray Blackmon.
  15. Eric Fields is also a very good athlete. He had a 7.07 60m and a 23.5 200m which means he has acceleration. I’m also pretty sure his dad was the Heavyweight Golden Glove Champion a few times in the mid 00s.
  16. I think that his film is sped up. Not saying it’s malicious as everybody from his team has the same sped up film. It could be something in converting the video files from one format to another. EDIT: Never mind, it was a problem with HUDL on mobile with an update on my phone. Literally every video is playing back 10% fast.
  17. Wow, he has exceptional knee bend a 320 lbs high schooler. Watch the highlights of his QB and #64 keeps on showing up with great play.
  18. At one point, 247 had Stewart ranked as the 11th best player overall in this class because he is an absolute baller on tape. Great instincts and awareness, makes tackles you don't expect DBs to make at the high school level. Most college safeties don't have his awareness in run support. I think the perception is that he isn't very big and doesn't have the suddenness or fluidity that you look for in coverage at the next level. Same could be said about Ed Reed...and Mason Wald.
  19. I think that Flores is the best in-state QB since Nathan Enderle but Watson was just as good a prospect, especially for what Nebraska was trying to do under Frost. He'll do well in the ACC.
  20. Here are his highlights. Pretty aggressive dude who gets after the QB. Wallin doesn't have the best playing strength so his time in the weight room will dictate if he can be more than a 3rd down specialist.
  21. It would be a nice change to have a LB that can take on blocks.
  22. Lenhardt mostly played defensive tackle this year at IMG where he just dominated. Playing against a bunch of spread teams, the big OGs were way to slow and he was able to run through the smaller guys. It will be interesting to see where he ends up at the college level. I could see him as a great 5-technique if he gets big enough or thumper in the middle if he has good enough movement skills and instincts.
  23. This guy has the best ball skills of any CB recruit we've had since Alfonzo Dennard. He doesn't seem to be an exceptional athlete but he could do great in a defense that protects him over the top.
  24. It's wild that people keep picking on this 6'8" guy and his only recourse is stomping on ankles while standing over them.
  25. 2022 Stats: 1671 yards rushing on 157 carries (10.3 ypc) with 26 TDs and 240 yards receiving on 15 catches (16 ypc) and 3 TDs Career Stats: 3176 yards rushing on 317 carries (10.0 ypc) with 45 TDs and 465 yards receiving on 22 catches (21.3 ypc) and 6 TDs Ives had 170 yards of offense and 2 TDs in every game this season. He didn't play very good competition but he is big and put up good numbers.
