Now that it’s Saturday morning.....I’m even more pissed this got canceled and that we couldn’t schedule someone else.

lol.. wait until its announced that Wisconsin is back practicing in preparation for the Purdue game. (before the 7 day shutdown) That is if any Wisconsin journalist has the gonads to publish it.

  2. Very well stated..

My question however isn't our leadership but rather our membership. Seemingly, to be at least, the B1G has branded us not worthy and is at every turn showing how they feel. As i stated in a private message, if it was SF and Moos canceling for the exact reasons that BA canceled, the B1G pundits would be publicly calling Nebraska, our staff and our administrators cowards.

I think, as it stands, Nebraska has but 2 allies in this conference. Ohio State & Iowa. Iowa because there is mutual respect and a healthy rivalry as well as proximity. Ohio State (as a result of their rivalry with Michigan and Michigan politics) because that university values tradition, competition, honesty and institutional independence

and lastly, sadly, politics as a whole. Ohio State and Nebraska align more closely politically then we do with any of the other states. Iowa, though mostly democrat is also very moderate and therefore one could say also fits in nicely with the politics of both tOSU and UNL. The rest, the rest will fight against institutional independence at every turn.

Secondly, what do you think the players are going to do for the next 7 days.  Sit in their rooms, alone?  They are not.

Actually, Alvarez said last night that wisconsin has placed all the team members in a hotel in individual rooms. So.. yeah, they are heavily restricting them. Likely allowing them to workout but even that will be in very small groups I'd assume.

  4. I'm curious to see what the national pundits will say when Wisky actually takes the field next week against purdue. Will anyone of them have the courage to ask the question "you chose not to play Nebraska but decided to request approval to play Purdue", why and do you not see how this can be interrupted as A. disrespecting nebraska and B. a cowardness on the wisconsin program?

This just in, Covid cases on Northwestern's campus are starting to spike this Sunday.

Here's a scary thought... What "if" all teams on our schedule that were against playing the season (tOSU, PSU and Iowa excluded as they favored playing) made a behind the door agreement to do a 7 day shutdown during their Nebraska week? Obviously that hasn't/didn't/won't happen but still... just saying.

This is solid advice. But did you not castigate him for using an Anderson Cooper tweet to quote the author of HIPAA?

If being shocked that he included Cooper in the post is castigating (to criticize or reprimand severely. to punish in order to correct.then ok. However, to post shock that he posted is in no way (IMO) castigating. I could be wrong though as I often find/learn that I am.

You're the kind of person who uses the word 'sheeple' unironically. That tells me all I need to know.

Toe.. please don't slander me. You don't know me, you haven't privately reached out to me. You don't know my character nor my opinions on anything. Stating assumptions is just you being foolish. Be respectful without slanting your assumptions towards your hatreds.

@Loebarth No, I quoted the author of HIPAA. If you could get past your kneejerk anti-lib alarm, the slightest glance would have told you that.

    first, I'm myself a Libertarian.

Secondly, you chose to include his post... so, you did in fact consciously quote him. :thumbs

  9. Everyone better slow down, take a deep breath and actually watch some highlights of this QB:

    - Good Height with an accurate arm.

    - Mobile enough (especially against our weak pass rush)

    - No crowd reducing first game jitters

    - not a first year qb in a new system.

    - has a quick release and Wisky will likely coach him to play quick. (limited long passing to mostly screens and quick release patterns)

    - Its still a Whisky o-line. Whisky d-line and d-backs.

    - Whisky has a tradition of winning and those proud traditions will only glow brighter when the chips are down. (Think back to a 3rd string qb for the huskers walking into a hornets nest in K-state. We won that game on our strengths.)

Sadly, the skers lose this game because they don't know how to win and until they learn winning is earned and not given, we will continue to lose. Go out, play your game, even against all odds and win!! Sadly, Whisky knows this, they believe this and they will steam roll our d-line to show it!

and... here comes the debbie downer comments but honestly guys, has our beloved husker program showed us any cause to believe? Fumbles, interceptions, costly penalties or wasted timeouts to prevent the penalty. Learn to win first and then start licking your chops!!

Alright let's curb this Covid argument and check in on our friends in Buckyville.

  11. Simply put peeps...

COVID is real, its lethal and we should all hope nobody is exposed or stricken by it. It angers me when I hear prominent people (like a head coach) state otherwise. To say it mostly only affects the elderly and those with preexisting conditions is a horrible disservice to the public as a whole. For heavens sake, be smart, be safe, be gracious and be respectful to everyone as much as possible. Lets hope and pray that Wisconsin fans, athletes and staffs learn the test was a false positive so this young man, his teammates, coaches, friends and family can all rest easy.

Also so when we win there's no excuses. (thats the husker talk in me ) GBR!!! Beat Wisky!!!

  12. Just a simple reminder to those fans with unrealistic expectations.. Here is what many consider one of college footballs all time best thoughts on the daunting task that is Nebraska's 2020 schedule and to those who will argue against the question of "is the BIG selectively scheduling the most difficult path for Nebraska"... Well... the coach in the video seems to wonder.. Enjoy!!

  13. chills, goosebumps and frankly, a whole lot of awe and respect... that is what every program should strive to do. Make better men/women first and the better athlete will naturally occur. Wow!! Mills thank you for sharing. Hope it inspires other young struggling (heck, even grown and struggling) people.

  14. Absolutely love this schedule and you know whom else loves this schedule? Frost!!

Got a quote for all you cry babies out there, "if you can't party with the big DAWGS, get off the porch". Moving up baby and I'm lovin the fear it's creating!!
