You would think 3 meals and 2 snacks a day would be standard considering the university in the end profits off the athletes body...why not be allowed to fuel it

Even aside from the profit aspect... These players burn a ton of energy during weight-lifting, practice, conditioning, and games - Allowing them to ever go hungry was criminal

  2. So I'm assuming this football facility announcement will have some pretty flashy videos, sketches, etc. involved with it. I'm super excited to see what all they have planned - I watched a Youtube tour of the Clemson facility, and I'm sure that there are some ideas they'll pull from that building, and some ideas that no one in college football has yet. Should be really cool to see.

I could be way off but Frost appears very confident in his presser and Day looks uptight and tense. I feel like we're going to shock the world on Saturday as long as we get out of our own way. Even if we lose I think we turn in a good performance.

  4. It has been said before - Under Mike Riley, the biggest issue (aside from the coaches) when we faced Ohio State was that the players didn't believe they deserved to be on the same field as them. That obviously was not the case last year, and I hope this year the guys continue to take a step forward in the mentality category: EXPECT TO WIN!

It is a little concerning to me how much the staff is talking up Ohio State. I get that you have to make sure your players understand the quality of opponent that they're facing, but I'm not sure I get an overly confident vibe from the coaches.

I have to give another shoutout for The Boys on Prime. I’m not a huge superhero fan and that may be why I liked this one cuz these “superhero’s” are scumbags. I guess it’s different because they’re such selfish uncaring dicks.

Also watched The Great Hack on Netflix (about Cambridge Analytica). It was sort of interesting but not really anything new and I felt they could’ve done a much better job explaining and telling the story. Kinda disappointing.

Just started watching this and it's bad a$$!

  6. I got thinking the other day about all the freshmen/sophomores on the team that appear to be building blocks for a great team in a couple years.

    Offense:

    -Wandale

    -Adrian

    -Mo Washington

    Defense:

    -Cam Taylor-Britt

    -Garrett Nelson

    -Caleb Tannor

And that's only listing the guys that we've seen play that have high upsides, and doesn't include many young linemen because it's difficult for the untrained eye to see what they will become. You could add to this list with potential:

    -Jurgens

    -Hixson

    -Benhart

    -Rahmir Johnson

    -Houston

    -Chase

Definitely some great building blocks. Hopefully Adrian sticks around for 2 more years and we're lined up to have a championship level team his Sr year.

  7. Things i learned:

    1) a switch flipped in Adrian in the second half and he absolutely balled out.

    2) Mills - every time he shows flashes of being a really good back, he fumbles... if he continues to have ball security issues, he has to sit

    3) Hopefully coach Chins figures out the right way to defend the overload formation that Illinois killed us on by running weak side

    4) Irregardless of everything that went wrong - turnovers, penalties, bad calls by the refs, etc... this team found a way to win. We've got to play better against the good teams on the schedule, but games like this over the past few years have consistently resulted in us finding any way to lose the game. It's great that they figured out how to win one.

Good grief if we don't spot those guys 21 points on four turnovers that game could be 42-17 and it looks way different. They only had 300 yards of freaking offense.

Exactly! Turnovers and penalties made this game really hard to watch, but you have to come out of this game feeling better about the offense's ability to sustain drives

  9. It would be pretty close. Going down the tiers of teams in each division:

Ohio state - Wisconsin : call that a wash right now

Penn state - Iowa : pretty even probably

Michigan state - northwestern : see today's score

Michigan - Nebraska : pretty even probably

Maryland - Purdue : fairly even

I think the divisions are as even as they've ever been with the rise of Wisconsin this year and Michigan being less than stellar
