Well, if we are going to look at AM, we need to look at the supporting cast.

    Oz-last 1000 yard rusher

    JD-another receiving threat

    Farmer

    Foster

Despite the record, that was Frost's best O since he has been here. His QB and other coaches kids.  Not to mention, guys who hadn't spent years with the gurus on the O staff.  The D struggled.  IIRC, that 2018 team scored the most of any of Frosts teams.  5 one score losses......

Side note, I am really ecited to see how AM does at KSU.

To the bolded, so am I...but I will be pissed if he tears it up, not because of his success but due to our mismanagement

Our family will be cutting off financial support for NU because of this going forward.

If it makes you feel better, Herbie is now clearly endorsing overweight white guys with small penises.

It's going to come down to "show me the money".  Regardless of how passionate I am about NU football, we don't pay, kids won't play.  Gone are the days of kids "wanting to play" for (insert school here).  It's all about the Benjamin's baby.

Agree...and completely why the "it's the only show in the state" has come to being a 1st class legit NIL thing for Nebraska as opposed to a previous take of, "this is what they all look forward to each week" comment

IMO we need a pass rusher much worse than a NT. Robinson, Rogers, Riley, Nash are good enough. Nelson and Payne can slide down to DE in a 4-3.

I agree on the need for edge rusher, desperately needed. I do like what I have seen from Nelson in that regard, but he reminds me more of a "Tomich" (who is one of my favorite DL) rusher (power and leverage)...need a Wistrom (Speed, power AND leverage)

Purdy will be a great addition to the QB room. This is the deepest QB room we have had in some time.

QB depth as of right now in no particular order.

    Thompson

    Purdy

    Smothers

    Haarberg

    Masker

    Torres

It has improve drastically in one offseason.

Think you meant to say, "depth chart."

  6. Honestly, 99.9% likely my rose colored glasses are in full effect...but it's hard not to think, did we just win the award for "Best off season gets " ??

At least we are in running for some Nickelodeon fans choice award, at minimum.

There is no way they got Thompson telling him he wasn't guaranteed to start.

There is also no way they got Purdy without telling him he would one day start. Thompson for a year and then it's the Chubba show.

Exactly..the only kicker to Chubba was likely Frost communicating, "look if Thompson struggles you are in....cause I don't have a next year if he struggles and we (I) keep playing him."

Saw this on Twitter and related a bit.

Right...make season tickets be an event for all those who have them...plush seats, awesome discounts on food/beer...basically the s#!t one upgrades for, but make it just a universal application to all season ticket holders. Make it something where one easily cannot say "hey, I got tickets if you want em"...it should be, "s#!t, I know our team sucks but hard to pass up awesome food, drinks and 4 hours just shootin the s#!t". Game attendance people really need to try and bridge the gap between staying at home and watching the game and actually going to the game. It will never be equal on the $ end for the watcher in that watching at home is just flat out cheap/free, but they should try to eliminate the utter annoyances (food price, bathrooms, trafficked herds of people) that come with attending live.

I really think you’re on to something.

Possibly they can’t do it due to TV rights or something? Seems like the conference might want a cut.

Use it as a selling point to players parents (recruiting) where if they can't physically make the game, they can virtually attend with their parent "ticket"

Nebraska could be bad and still win 6 games and go to bowl game against this schedule. Then the AD is in a tough spot on whether or not you keep Frost.

Minimum to keep job is 6 wins/bowl game. If that occurs than bare minimum for 2023 is 8 wins..if that is achieved 2024 minimum is 9 wins. And if that is achieved 2025 is s bonus year with no win expectations...but you better win.

Seriously this is a great idea. But no need to charge that much. They’d still make bank at half that much and the cost would be negligible. Of course the game may be subject to blackout if the stadium isn’t sold out.

You can do so many things with this...have a dude holding a vr stick in the tunnel walk and people can experience a live tunnel walk

College football lost me this year when I didn't care about any team in the Final Four.

But holy crap. The final week of the NFL was absolutely loaded with crazy games and incredible plays in games that mattered.

Yup, adding an additional playoff team increased regular season relevance to games..amazing concept

  13. I remember beating Miami and I had 2 teachers (was Junior in HS) call me the night of and say, "Congrats" next school day other people were telling me congrats..lol. The game against Florida the next year, went to my bball coach before practice and was like ,"hey, can we end early...you know...cause GBR"...and he basically said, "yeah I had already planned on ending early so you can catch the start" #benefitsofpumpingGBRinWashingtonState

  14. Did anyone else feel Georgia was celebrating the win WAAAAAYYYYY to early last night? There was like 54 seconds left, Alabama had all 3 timeouts and onside kicks seem to be far more successful in college ball than the pros. I mean if I am a Georgia fan I would been screaming at the TV...they didn't have some starting defense guys on the field in what turned out to be BAMA's last drive
