I learned that those HARLOTS on State Street in Madison make it their mission to lead pious Nebraskans into the arms of sin. I have to regretfully report that I did have a fried cheese curd, but I did NOT follow the young lady that offered to... I think she said "give me a cheesehead" which as I understand it is a hat popular amongst fans of the Green Bay Packers, a professional football team in Wisconsin.

Atleast it wasn't a cheese turd and you escaped without too much cheese... on your ..."head"...(insert doctor evil laugh)

  2. Things I learned during the game:

    1) Flex tape is sticky.

    2) I have a lid for my pots that can work as a lid for my brining bucket.

    3) unstoppables are the s#!t for laundry..more of a reaffirming thing.

    4) I am not the far off from being a legit College football OC.

    5) The Conjuring 2 is legit scary.

    6) I don't like walking past my dark downstairs stairwell after watching The Conjuring 2 and being home by myself.

    7) Daylight savings (losing) hour coinciding with the McRib relaunch is not a coincidence. No one wants to be seen getting a McRib in the drive through for dinner. MCDONALD'S solved that.

  3. Dude was wearing an ear piece with shades...if we were winning, that would be cool as f#&%...when we're losing it looks...well...cool as a f#&%.

Just when you thought we hit rock bottom, and in the past four years, that’s been frequent, things do in fact get worse.  Think what it must have been like for Iowa fans when KF fired his OC and hired his son. Head shaking went on. I am sure of that even in apathetic Iowa.

Speaking of Iowa, we all knew Frank “the tanked” was OL coach in Iowa. He is the fill in guy for us, or maybe nothing is quite as permanent as that which is temporary.

Ron was an RB coach before. Would he  be open to doing it again? I think he would.

As for the OC in name at least, and the QB coach, maybe they are young and have “fresh ideas”

All are cheap. And assistant coaches and an OC from elsewhere are probably not. And they start coaching immediately and get a “jump start” on next year.

What if our next year is like the four from before with the same four who were here already.

Crazy? Maybe. Out of the realm of possibility seeing how things have gone? Can’t rule it out.

...was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor!?

Constantly firing coaches has sure helped Texas, USC, and Tennessee to be dominant teams again.

To be fair, they are not dominant but they are not doormats.

Football is what it is, Dabo is getting s#!t in Clemson. Everyone is planning for a decade dynasty until the year it doesn't happen.

I was at the Melvin Gordon ncaa record game. I can’t stand them. I still hear “there goes Melvin!” in my nightmares

I have grown to despise them

Romo has forgotten more about football than most of these college coaches will ever learn.  I always wondered how he'd do as a coach, but I think he could easily snag a coordinator job in the NFL if he was so inclined.

I do think it's Helfrich that Scott has in mind for the position.   Scott seems committed to running the duck sh!t offense.  Which, to me, kind of defeats the purpose of cleaning house on the offensive side of the ball.

The idea of Helfrich makes sense on a "ego" level for Frost. You KNOW he wants to be involved with playcalling, even if he is publicly saying he needs to get better at just overseeing the Team. Helfrich is one guy where Frost would have a harder time meddling with, simply because of their previous coaching relationship.

And imo, the Duck offense does not bother me. It can work, it just needs someone who can call it with current and future purpose in a game.

Mark Helfrich is looking to get back into coaching

Wasn't it Helfrich (announcer) in the MSU game that was calling O plays for MSU that were on point? Get him or Tony Romo...Romo, as much as I did not like him as a player, his ability to announce what the O should run is on point and is a sign of someone that gets rhythm in play calling

7 to 8 wins should be the minimum, but he is probably kept with 6.

I agree with this...6 is the 100% bare minimum and frankly I am more focused on outcome of the L's than the W's. If the L's are blowouts and the wins are tight than I don't know if 6 saves him.
