If I had grown up in Iowa and not Nebraska, probably would have grown as a Chiefs fan...but probably would have sold meth...so all considered it is for the best...SEAHAWKS!!!

Looking back, seeing preseason shots of AM and how he bulked up...I did have a thought of "looks more like mass than work...could be slower"....and when all said and done, looked slower

I think both Garrett and Rivera are guys that have coaching value and even more importantly can communicate with players on a personal or professional level

Talking with a buddy today about this very thing.  Unless you completely screw the pooch as a coach in the NFL, the buddy system seems to work out pretty well. Might not be another HC position, but someone will hire you on as some type of coach.

If Frost had a turnaround here at Nebraska I could see him leaving for the NFL. I would assume the demands of a college coach far exceed an NFL coach from a year round view...but job security is probably more fragile in the NFL. With that said, once you become an NFL HC you ALWAYS have a landing pad somewhere.

Honestly, the more Nebraska has sucked the more I have gravitated towards the NFL. In general it is sound football and gameplans... just gotta get past the douchery of some players

Time shall tell, but I think this offense works when we can consistently run the ball and have WRs worth a damn. We were too inconsistent up front early on, Mills was a different player the second half of the year, and we simply didn't have enough skill players. 

 

Ideally the offense will look like what we had to end the 2018 season. A consistent run game to compliment WRs who can beat you in space.

Our best drive against OSU maybe all season was out of the I formation.  Power physical football.  And we never saw it again the rest of the season.  A real head scratcher.
 

The stuff that initially worked against OSU was because it was something they did not prepare for, once they got a look at it, it was done...it bordered more on gimmicky than a sound gameplan

College football isn't what it was in the 1990s, and I've now accepted that any expectations of returning to that era of Husker football are a pipe dream. I honestly don't think there's a reasonable chance of winning a NC in the next 20 or 30 years, if ever. Too much has changed, and too much time has passed since the glory days. Too many teams in the Big 10 have as many or more advantages as NU, especially in recruiting areas (geography). I've decided to just enjoy the game for what it is, without dreaming about national, conference or even division titles. Bowl seasons with 6 or 7 wins, with an occasional 9-win season? I'll take it. I don't think anyone should expect more in this new era.

Over the years my nerves about players leaving, signing, off season progress, etc, etc has completely faded...Nebraska football (over the past 15 years) is a perfect example of news vs reality in all facets of the game.

I'm done with hearing/reading positives and negatives (focusing more on the positives obviously), just prove it on the field.
