Ryan Held made a generic "coach speak" comment that was by itself completely benign but it sparked a couple thoughts for me. Held said that "you have to run the ball in this league."

Ohio State is showing that this isn't actually correct. In fact in my opinion, when you can throw the ball well you actually really excel in the B1G because so many defenses are built to stop the run.

Possibly our biggest problem on the team right now is that we can't pass block for $h!t. On top of that, teams have been blitzing on us pretty hard also. Terrible combination. I honestly don't know what Frost can reasonably do with this hodgepodge, injured, and depleted offensive roster to win 3 out of the next 5 here. I'm just being honest: I really think we're the underdog in this game.

Are talking about the Ohio State offense that is 3rd nationally in rushing yards per game and runs the ball 61% of plays?

    ESPN FPI final record projection4-8

'It doesn't look good for Nebraska, who is projected to lose all five of its remaining games against Indiana, Purdue, Wisconsin, Maryland and Iowa. That's shocking to say the least. The Huskers are only winning 47.7 percent of simulations vs. the Hoosiers and 39.6 percent of simulations vs. the Boilermakers, two teams Nebraska out-talents in roster depth. A 4-8 second season for Scott Frost would require an epic meltdown."

Jackson sucks so bad he is gonna be our first 1st round draft pick since what, Suh? I mean seriously, y'all can say whatever you want about Jackson but he seems to do well with people who evaluate cornerback play for a living.

I can't find the stuff atm but he's like top 10 in the country in coverage, passes defended and what not. Tackling is still his weakness, Gary Sharp ripped him after Minnesota.

    That wasn't the full quote

"When things aren't going as well as you want them to, you start questioning everything," Frost said. "Usually as a coach, you want to question and keep improving, but doubting and changing what you do is usually the worst thing you can do. We know our schemes on both sides work. They've worked for a long time.

"We have to get better at them. We have to keep recruiting better players to run them. We love the guys on our team. We're going to keep coaching them and trying to sacrifice of ourselves to make them as good as they can be. I appreciate the support. Nobody wants it to work more than us."

Heady decided to trim it down, it's not in the OWH story.

Do you mean they aren't up to par when compared to Oklahoma?

    And other contenders.

Moos knows it, he just mentioned it after Minnesota.

"Plus, we need to be in those high schools where the Ohio States, Alabamas and Clemsons are recruiting," Moos told the Journal Star last week. "If we're expected to get back into that kind of race, we have to have those kind of players."

Moos makes no bones about it: Nebraska obviously needs an injection of talent.

"It's a big part of the plan," he said of the fleet. "You're not going to win a national championship with all walk-ons. They're going to help. They're key in what we're trying to do. The heart and soul of Nebraska football is from the state of Nebraska.

"But the arms and legs are from California, Texas and Florida. If we're going to get back to where we want to get, we have to be challenging other championship-caliber programs for players."

Ha convenient you mention Benhart at the bottom there. Benhart is higher rated than any of OU's current players. Corcoran who is coming in this year is even higher than that and one of the top OT in the country. So in back to back classes Frost will have brought in two players that are rated even higher than OU's. Nebraska is not going to land more than 1 or 2 four star lineman in most classes regardless. The fact we already have two high four stars coming in will be huge. Plus a lot of those other guys are rated lower in part because of the need to gain size and strength in college not because they can't play. Fritzsche picked us over Clemson.

Slightly inaccurate seeing as oklahoma has a .98 5* from 2018, in the last two classes Oklahoma signed a 5*, 4 4*s and 3 3*s. Frost signing those type of numbers is what is needed. I knew you'd bring up the lower guys, atm they are underrated gems but if they don't work in a couple years then you'll say well they were just low 3*s what did you expect.
