She’s a modern day martyr for the Left.  Going to jail for peace in the Middle East by spitting threats against others.  Beautiful

This isn't really true. The problem with MAGA candidates without Trump is that the horde of morons refuse to trust any non-Trump candidate. MAGA is convinced Trump is their savior. Any non-Trump candidate is one Q-anon post away from being labeled a pedophile and a RINO. DeSantis entire candidacy revolved around the word "woke" and losing a PR battle with Disney, and this was a terrible candidate.

If you wanted to dominate elections, my advice would be to first not vote for embarrassing candidates like Trump in 2016 and 2020. If you continue to participate in politics - which you have no business doing and should avoid at all costs - nominate normal candidates. If Republicans nominated Mitt Romney types for all their races, they would control the Presidency, House, and probably 57 Senate seats. Republicans play politics on easy mode but they punch themselves in the face repeatedly.

I understand that being grifted into voting for Trump twice had caused you to undergo bizarre, reality altering views of the world in order to reconcile your support for embarrassing morons who hate America and also happen to be anti-democracy criminals.

But my God, posting RFK Jr. videos after Trump is facing 14 criminal indictments for interfering in Georgia's election and in federal elections. The cases are ongoing... and guess who's fault it is? VOTERS LIKE YOU for supporting him.

We need to collectively stop coddling these voters who live in rural states and collectively place proper blame that they've given rise to Trump. These people need to be regarded with mocking and derision.

    You are too funny :laughpound

In all seriousness, it's impossible to fix

It’s not impossible to fix.   No politician has the appetite for the fix, and the general populace b!^@hes and moans when their benefits get cut for the greater good.  No one wants to feel the necessary pain.

Yes, Republicans are excellent stewards of financial prudence and have very little responsibility for this.

Did you miss the words “thanks everyone”.  As in all political parties and politicians.

I am 100% for this IF they also reimburse everyone that took out student loans and paid them back.

OR if they offer a credit card forgiveness loan for any Americans that have over 10K in CC debt and make less than like 60K a year.

Just to make it clear before some dorks freak out.  I have 0 CC debt, I make more than 60K a year (when I strip on my OF page)  and I never took out a student loan.

I have no dog in the fight at all.  But if you are going to help some, might as well more even more.

Agree….since the debt is some mythical figure to most everyone now a days, let’s go back and give refunds to those who either paid back on time or if they didn’t go to school, give money towards their car debt, home debt or CC debt.   For the struggling and even stable citizens.

Interesting editorial from Phil calling the 750k people with 20+ years of repayment the biggest winners, since they're neither the biggest by number of people impacted, amount of money impacted, or amount of income impacted.

He literally told you why he considered them the biggest winners and I kinda agree.  A Household with $315,000 of income should be able to pay of $25,000 in debt in two years max.  No idea why those households need debt relief.

An income of $85,000 should easily be able to pay off $3,600 of debt within 2 years max.  No need for debt relief on those loans.

It’s a shame you soak up Republican talking points so amazingly well.

It’s not a talking point.   He’ll just listen to Biden’s pressers when he literally is saying “I’m not supposed to do this or I’m supposed to do this or I know I’ll get in trouble for this”.   He’s basically a figure head with mental capacity issues.

I mean we know you like the guy but he wasn’t going to dominate crap. He struggled just hanging in the primary field as long as he did. No. He didn’t and wouldn’t dominate anything. And this is coming from someone who would’ve rather seen Desantis in the general just so Trump would slither off into his hole.

Yes he actually would have dominated the Republican primary based on polling data if Trump were not a candidate.

He is also a MUCH better primary candidate than Trump.  If Trump ends up anywhere near Biden this election, DeSantis would have been President if not for Trump.

no one beat us because they were tougher than us.
I like this mentality of knuckles. They can talk about “no holding” but to me it says “we gonna punch ya.”

    FHSU player huh.

Voters have their choice in the primaries, and Republicans chose to dislike Ron DeSantis. The more they got to know him, the more they disliked him. Not my opinion, just math.

Might have missed Carefully worded General Election piece.   He was top second choice candidate after someone’s primary choice just prior to Iowa.   Not my opinion just fact.  If Trump were not a candidate DeSantis would have run away with the primary.

I used to think that the power brokers of the party would eventually get burned out from Trump and decide to move on.

Given the losses in the ‘18 Midterms, the ‘20 General and the massive underperforming in ‘22 Midterms, the endless indictments, charges, lawsuits, installing his daughter in law to drain RNC funds, and the overall endless chaos he brings… and there's barely a whisper of moving on from him. I don’t think they ever will now. Which doesn’t make sense to me from a strategical perspective. If you had that kind of candidate on paper without a name, no political entity would touch them.

And to the people who say “Oh but his base is so fanatical, the R’s can’t lose his base.” Yes. They are fanatical, but they’ve clearly not given the party a boost in power. They’ve either lost or underperformed in every election cycle.

There’s a palpable hunger in this country, on both sides of the aisle, for someone new, different and young. I think this hunger far outweighs the MAGA base. I’ll never understand why the R’s can’t recognize this and move on.

I agree.   DeSantis would have dominated this general election

Well....then voters need to make a statement on this in November.

This is no different than the Obama folks telling Biden what to do.   No one seriously thinks Biden is making all the decisions at the WH with his current mental functions.

This. FISA needs to be fixed so they can’t spy on our own people. This is why dems voted against it. The Rs that voted against it did so because orange man bad told them to. There is a very distinct difference here. One party is trying to do what is right and the other party is ignoring their constituents and doing the bidding of one man.  Somebody was poo pooing the idea Trump would become a dictator. Well, he already is one for republicans.
