with all the offers out..who will be in pads for NU next year? i have to say forcier, washington, lee and bates all are very in reach but what do you guys think?

i understand all that and i agree but taylor has to be on top of his game by the time usc comes around so i dont know that i pull him from the first 2 which should be blowouts unless he has dominated and its on the right track with the team

We all know that taylor has the starting job this year but alot of people are speculating that beck will be comming in to do the clean up work. it sounds like a good idea but the teams we that will be clean up games will be la tech and nicholles state and those games lead into usc. you only hear good things about beck but i have to admit i am still kinda nervous that beck would not be able to take over. he looked horrible at colorado and is 1-10 with only 1 good pass. is it a good idea to take taylor out of a game?

does anyone have figures on how much was donated by the Hawks? It was very generous whatever it was and i hope more people will donate to get this to be the greatest football place in America

thenarse..i think he will be a starting safety and all i hear is great things about him and how he loves to hit...but i cant wait to see everyone because this should be a great team

i agree i think nebraska could run the table..if they beat usc and texas..i think they would be able to beat OU. i look at it this way..do you think they will lose to anyother team other than usc and texas? i also think they have great chances in those games.. it may not seem like it could happen but with the momentum and all..and dont forget taylor showed great poise at QB and he will only get better and the receivers will be great for him..defense will be tops in the country..it is safe to say they have a chance at the national championship..but look for a bcs bowl

haha i think it is funny that they say they would have prince over bc anytime. for all anyone knows prince might not win a game and callahan has proven that when he has the personel he can get the job done.

nebraska will not lose to iowa state next year or kansas. no chance of them losing. i was at the game 2 years ago when nebraska lost and the game was in hand for isu and daliey brought them back only to throw a int while driving to tie it. taylor is 10x better and will lead the NU team to a 10-2 record next year. even if those teams are returning players dont forget we are returning more. kansas at home and isu doesnt have a big tradition or the talent to keep up with NU. Bowman will be able to shut blythe down jsut like they did this year. and nebraska had a lot of missed oppertunities that made the game close(dropped td by hardy, fumble on 2 w/min left)

absolutly not. callahan is a great ccoach and knows he HAS to win at Nebraska. Next year will be a statement year for the team and by 2007 watch out because If Beck is as good as everyone makes him out to be, he will be ready to step in his junior season and take this team to a National Championship season

hes a great athlete and i believe it will be him and shanle to start off the season with thenarse and culbert getting looks when the game is in hand

grixby is alright but i think that jones will end up taking his place but i wouldnt mind grixby for punt returns

I agree with everything you say but of those 5 games, I believe the worst the team could go would be 3-2. Remember the heart of the team comming back so many times when down early and how fast they could score? The offense is built to score quick and i believe this year we could see some big numbers on the offensive side with a better o-line, more talented receivers, and taylor. taylor was hit time after time and yet he still stayed in there and kept playing. With his leadership and the experience comming back the offense looks great.

Why is it so hard for some Nebraska fans to realize that Nebraska is now back? Of the 4 losses last year, next year brings 2 of them to Lincoln and the other 2 arent on the schedule. Oklahoma and TT were both very close games and just think if nebraska wouldnt have gotten down so early. I realize the USC and Texas take the place of TT and Oklahoma but both will be a lot less experienced as last year and how can you not be optimistic after the alamo bowl?
