  1. Politics have some bearing on some of the decisions being made here in the Big10 and if we are going to Play football or not. As well as the ramifications of if we do or dont play.   Im not about full on political posts having nothing to do with football, like youre doing. I’m not going to come out and blast Harris/ Biden like you are doing other people.

you seem very interested/ obsessed though. Sorry back to work so I can help keep the country afloat.

Oh, sure. Nobody who praises him now ever did.

But he didn't do anything. Like his healthcare program. Like the new trade deal with China. Like infrastructure week. Like his failed university he had to give refunds on. Like his promise to save coal. Like his failure with the Trump charity. There's a list 100 items long of things he said he did that he didn't do.

He stands at a podium and blathers something half comprehensible, and his true believers accept it without critical thought.

But I know that's not you. Because you didn't support him or vote for him. You're just in here regurgitating his lies, over and over.

    Weird.

I thought  pure politics were banned from this boArd?  I could respond but I’m not supposed to right? Or I could do a pelosi where no one can get their hair cut or be arrested,  but I can do it thing , I won’t. Lol

This isn't a true 1on1 drill, but Jim Leonhard coaches his DB's to stop backpedaling, cut off, & "redirect" (catch) receivers  much like this.  I personally would never coach that, but I'm not implying the guy isn't a great coach either.

He never backpedaled at all until Moore was on his toes. Then he did a 360, consistently poor effort. Does leonhard coach doing the full 360 spin thing too? That would be a bit out of ordinary right?

I'm not a betting man, but I'd be willing to wager a few bucks that Trump takes credit for a vaccine, regardless of its origin.

    No doubt, guaranteed

    they all do

He can take credit for getting the domestic manufacturing and distribution plan in place to rapidly deploy once the vaccine is a go

He’s not doing a Kevin Warren on this one thank goodness. Will “Kevin warrening it” become a phrase we use 10 years from now? Lol

It's chaos now. Trump is in charge now.

    Your math isn't checking out.

My point was where people seeing this moving, if it’s positive trump is back in. If not it’s Harris/Biden. So yes football will sway how people feel this is heading.

I didn’t support or vote for trump last time. I could easily show you numbers to prove you are wrong but I was told we aren’t supposed to go all political here so I won’t. Very tempting to do though/easy to prove. ThAnks though

Looks like helmets and shoulder pads at least. I really want to watch Wandale play, he's insane.

Me too and yes he’s electric. Let’s hope the dB was a 8th team walk on that goes back to being in the band next fall. Since when does a cover guy not move his feet until the receiver is 6 inches from your toes lol. Then the dB does a full 360-haven’t seen kids do that since I coached my sons age 8 team- Wow I know the roster is being expanded but are we taking kids that have never played before?

First off, our best and fastest hope for a viable vaccine is AZD1222, which was developed by Oxford University and licensed by AstraZeneca, but of which are British entities. Other than some Phase III trials being conducted in the US, no one on this side of the pond, namely the President, should be taking ANY credit for its (potential) success.

And secondly, I realize there are economic considerations that come into play, but if the election in a few battleground states comes down to whether or not the B1G plays college football, an amateur sport, then I don't know what to think. Just to clarify, if appropriate safety measures can be followed (which from the sounds of it, NU is on top of things), then I fully support starting the season as soon as possible. But who I vote for in November will NOT be impacted either way. This country has way bigger fish to fry.

I never said the president had anything to do with the vaccine or getting the BiG10 back to play.

What I said was there is a certain segment of our population that will vote on how they feel things are going.

    Getting back to normal-trump

    Chaos-not moving back to normal-biden

Those battleground states are decided by just a few percentage points/ so it just takes a tiny percentage of voters to swing those states and therefore the election. Doesn’t matter if he solved the problem or not, they don’t care. Is progress being made or not?

Just think how important college football is to the psyches, culture and economies that affect so many people.

I also would like clarification from Mr. Sebastianelli in light of not only the FootballScoop stuff, but now the report from the NFL that no Covid-positive players have developed myocarditis. Something's gotta give between those statements.

I’m glad we can agree on something. I posted this over 10 days ago about the Big10 using a flawed study to come to their decision to cancel their season.

This study is either done by incompetents or by charlatans. Several sources viewed the study as laughable. This is one of the primary documents   Warren presented.

  10. My point was the more we get back to doing things we love like watching football, the better most people feel. We feel like progress is being made.  The more things are still Out of whack, the more uncomfortable and anxious people are. Feeling good And closer to normal and seeing progress is good for trump,  The more chaos and uncomfortable people feel, the more people are going to want change.

The election is tightening, a vaccine is in the short horizon and the battleground states of Pennsylvania, Ohio, Wisconsin, Michigan, Iowa and Minnesota are going to decide this. It’s going to come down to a few percentage points in each of those states again. Remember the last election was decided by a very small number of votes in a few key states.

Lots of money and power at stake. So very easy to see how much pressure could be put on those making this decision.

  11. Yes with Kevin warren as commissioner it makes sense to be concerned about protocols and safety. He had 5 months to get it squared away and didn’t, the dog ate his homework.

However Bill moos said on a radio interview I heard that Nebraska had invested a lot of time and resources and consulted with other schools to come up with something that was very detailed and workable. He said they were willing to give it to the Big10. So maybe with Brohms  help we could have a crafted program in place.

Then Nebraska really becomes the savior of the conference lol , thanks to warrens incompetence

Yesterday we were the laughingstock of Facebook! Now we're heroes?! Make up your damn mind!

This remote reading learning thing isn’t very effective it seems

The league was the laughing stock, league meaning the composite 14 teams with Nebraska standing out for saying, no we want to play.

Nebraska is a single team, they nearly single handily pushed this issue to a new vote. Nebraska is a team, not a league. There is a difference.

Hope that clears it up for you.

  13. Never know, the  yeses are:

    nebraska

    ohio state

    Iowa

    probably yes

    purdue

    penn state

    illinois

    indiana

    michigan

    michigan state

    Wisconsin

    limp ds, I mean nos:

    minneota

    maryland

    rutgers

    northwestern

So we need 4 of the 5 undecideds to say yes

Indiana and Wisconsin feel like they are leaning a bit yes, but you never know what underhanded politics are happening behind the scenes. There are billions of $ at risk and even some small sway possibly in These battle ground state elections. People are going to feel more like we are getting back to normal if football is being played vs just watching the riots on tv.

  14. This morning big10 presidents are voting to resume the season in a straw poll. If they get 9 votes a formal vote tomorrow.

None of this happens without frost and moos coming out strong against the big ivory tower powers to push having a season. Took balls to do that being newer kids on the block.

The out of the box parents lawsuit also pushed the envelope and kept this alive nationally. No wonder Ohio state fans are singing our praises.

Screw the pundits who chastised Nebraska, you are going to owe the program a huge apology.

Nationally , everyone is going to know the reason  the Big 10 is playing if the vote goes our way is that Nebraska loves football and our coach and ad will fight to the last man for our players. Huge win for Nebraska recruiting if it happens. Now go out and win some games!

    Hail frost

    Hail moos

Hail snodgrass and the other parents who filed the suit

Judge in Omaha asked for more information from the parents-lawsuit moving along. Season starts lawsuit dropped, no additional embarrassment for Kevin warren and the no presidents.

  15. I feel bad for osu. They have a legit national championship team with a player who is one of the favorites to win a heisman trophy. If warren keeps us all from playing, Ohio state loses the most. Not to mention their top ranked recruiting class, very confident some of those kids bail.

hats off to their president though, she has come out aggressively on the side of wanting to play.

You are claiming this is going to hurt us when it comes to recruiting great football players from the south. Most great football players from the south are Black, and Black people from the south are far more likely to take the virus seriously because they are far more likely to know someone who has died or become seriously ill from the virus. And yes, most of those people might be grandparents. Doesn't change the fact they likely have a different perception of the virus than a midwestern White person who is statistically less likely to know someone affected. At worse this is probably a net zero affect on recruiting.

    Those kids are playing today

Those kids peers and friends are playing today

Those kids peers and friends are playing d1 college football today

And those kids see none of his friends or peers dying or in most cases None getting seriously sick from this

that does not bode well for recruiting. 99 percent of kids not entering the draft are playing this year. Those that don’t want to play don’t have to, they get the extra year.

why not give the vast majority who want to play the same option as those kids, play or not play?

if I’m a kid who loves playing football and I see teams all around me playing, do you really think I would sign up with a league that has a history of not playing? When all my buddies are playing and my buddies teams are close? Yeah right

  17. At the end of the day there will be high school football going on in lincoln

there will be small college football being played in Lincoln

there will be division 1 football being played. What 100 miles from Lincoln?

but there will be no college football being played in Lincoln.let that sink in.

Thanks to Kevin warren and the big 10. How aggravating is that for our players that have put in more work than probably all of those teams.

Who is going to be the laughing stock when those other leagues are forced to cancel their seasons after three games?  I'd rather be the coach who goes into the livingrooms of parents and is able to tell them that those other teams only care about money and little Johnny is nothing more than a means to that end.

I’m doubting that is happening. What can never be taken back is the big 10 didn’t even bother to delay the season til they had data about how things were going once kids came back. What they cant take back is the fact with over 5 months head start they didn’t have their protocols in place for fall and they still have no detailed plans for the spring. What they can’t take back is they let their students on campus and allowed practice but no games.  A total screw up no doubt.

im feeling that isn’t a great story to tell mom and pops when another conference team lays out what playing in  The big 10 means.

I guess we shall see. Personally I’m rooting for them to play and complete the season, I know others are rooting for them to fail so they can be right.

What does this have to do with the big 10 being the laughing stock of college football? And How many of these deaths are healthy college age football players ? I’m guessing like the national average the vast majority are over age 70 with what 1 percent below age 60  right? And what 3 or 4 hundredths of one percent for below age 24?

  20. This source is not legit at all and I’m very skeptical that Rutgers is in.

but If the power 4 are playing minus a handful of dress wearing big 10 teams and the lame pac12, that would be a crushing blow to Minnesota.

Now if a couple of schools like Minnesota opt out, are they going to get media wrath for not going along like Nebraska got?
