I know when i refer to our 1997 football team, I always say co-national champs...
Get over it...no one will remember "co" or refer to it after a few years...it hurts no one and takes nothing away from the season Fred and his team has had...gbr

We are undefeated in neutral site games...and we are undefeated when we outscore our opponents!
If those trends hold, we will be hoisting 2 trophies in the next month!

Clark is fantastic...once in a generation good...not trying to poo poo her, but triangle & 2 should not work against college players. I am so happy someone actually did this to them & it worked...I've been telling my Hawkeye friends this for years lol.
Hawkeyes should take a lot of the blame for letting us back in it...they talked about it during the broadcast, how their coach kept saying Hawkeye fans deserved to see her break the record at home...well, up 14 points with 8 points until breaking the record, let's make the best player in the gym a bystander. Then all of a sudden it's under 10...and now, triangle & 2...now you f'd yourself...
Proud of our ladies! Glad we got this one!

I think W vs Maryland on the road, along with already beating NW and Ohio State at home gets us in the also receiving votes category...sweeping next week and being 18-5 with Wisconsin & road Illinois Ws locks us in the top 25 the following week.
I don't see that happening...but a guy can dream.
We can beat Maryland on the road tho...and get into the other votes category.

20-8 since last February...it's still wild people get in their feelings so much when we lose. We have been pretty darn good for nearly a calendar year.
For a program that is historically been hot garbage (except for a season here and there), maybe just enjoy the ride a bit.
We lose games we shouldn't...for sure, but we also win games we shouldn't haha. We have a pretty good team...it is ok to be happy

I would rather be 11-2 with a cupcakes schedule than 7-6 getting out brains beat in, in non-con.
We are in the conversation. That should be good enough for our fan base...since we have historically blown goats.
Let's just enjoy the ride! Should be a fun few months.

In the first half it did look like they were missing him. A lot of their offense runs through him at the high post & they seemed to not be running that version of their offense much in the first half. They ran it a lot more with Allick in the second half & they played much better. Allick isn't as good of a passer, but they seemed more comfortable running things through him like they usually do with Mast.
There was a HUGE change in effort too after Hoiberg ripped them a new one at half time.
The combination of two got them 53 points in the second half & the win.
All valid points...I would add that offensively, we have played much worse than we did in the first half (Creighton, Minnesota), but our defense and rebounding were very poor in the first half. Might be the worst half this season for both.
That said, as ECisGod mentioned, much better in the second half.
Wilcher was pretty great all game. I have dogged him a lot in the past, but that guy kept us in it and was great all game. Lawrence played well in the second half...more assertive. Gary was a board beast in the 2nd half...Everyone else was kind of blah, overall.

It's the difference between helping your Uncle Jack, off a horse.
And helping your uncle jack off a horse.
One is ok...the other is definitely not.

grammar
I will gladly take the ribbing on that one I hate them, so I deserve the shot.
Poor timing for a grammatical error.
Merry Christmas, everyone!

That was the kind of game we lose, most seasons. Glad to get a W when playing far from our best!

To be honest, its not going to happen because it would of happened by now. And im tired of this bull s#!t narative that keeps coming up with it. If it signs it would be great, but a 18 year old kid is jerking 2 programs around. And how it looks in todays word that if it doesnt work out for him hell leave for another school in 1 to 2 years if he doesnt see what he wants. This place has melted down, but not loosing the top pick qb melted down yet.

The call out for Cam Ward earlier in the thread caught my attention. Wazzou is in a weird no man’s land. The kid is talented enough to play P5 at a high level. If he goes in the portal he would be high on my list.
I wanted him when we portaled from incarnate word. Good call

You said go to player. He will be on some night, not always. Like how you type in circles.
You clearly don't read well. Or English isn't your first language. It's ok. I still love you...and I'm not going to waste my evening fulfilling your keyboard warrior quest.
I believe Williams is our best player...we have many good players right now. That is a good thing, be happy. We don't suck at something!
Have a great night and happy Thanksgiving

Your Allstar had 11 pts, 1 rb & 1as. Like I said there are several scores on this team, not one player.
You're precious...you keep talking about scoring, champ...
You clearly equate great player=great scorer
I clearly do not. And that's ok. I can see who hoiberg and the team wants to have the ball in crucial possessions to make the right play.

He had a good game & is a good player. Not great! Let's just agree to disagree.
I wasn't arguing. You can believe whatever makes your heart happy.
I'll do the same.

I still disagree, there are no players on this team that can take over a game consistently. There is a bunch of guys who can score & keep opponents guessing.
You keep talking about scoring...he could score 4 and he's still the best player we've had...skill set wise in a millennia. Sorry you cant see that yet. That's too bad, it's beautiful to watch.
When we need a bucket down the stretch or when we need to stop a run in a crucial game, pay attention to who takes the ball and who creates for himself or others. It will be Brice.

Disagree! We have 4, maybe 5 guys who can score 20+ on a given night. Last night was Brice's night. This team is deep, with a 9 man rotation. We have 2 players that are still injured & 2 other freshman that can put in quality min. If needed.
Wasn't trying to start an argument lol. Deep team...yes. talented team...yes. Brice is different than any guy we've ever had, including mcgowens. He is a special talent, he could score 1 or 100 and I'd say the same thing...he's our best player. And it's really not close.
-
Game management seems harder with guys who are either unproven or proven to be turnover machines.
We have only been able to trust one unit all year, so I'm not super surprised we played to our defense and expected to get one more stop in OT. This year's team plays to its defense. Unfortunately, they weren't able to help the offense on 2 critical drives in the last 2 games....if only lol

This needs to be Brice Williams team. Dude is outstanding
I can't think of a better bell to bell game I've seen NU play in recent memory...I really don't care who our opponents are or how good/bad they are.

Oh, I think they do have a chance...he's a perfect hoiberg big. If they want him, he'd be interested in playing here. We run a system that would be perfect for him to display his skills
