I understand, but I don't think he is good fit.  Just my opinion!

You may be right...and he may not come here, so it may not matter...to me winning would be a nice change...this guy has been the floor general of a team that won...a lot.  I'd take that fit.

We can agree to disagree and see where it goes!

I'm not a big fan, sounds like he is not a coach's player.  He is all about Kerr.

We've needed a PG since before the guys on our current roster were born!  Of he ends up being the guy, he's a definite upgrade.  His play on the floor doesn't say he's a "me" guy.  To be fair...Arizonas coach is kind of a tool...

When I first saw this I was like, meh...but after a little dive into it, kriisa is a 9 point 5 assist guy...he's a true point that is a plus defender...career 2 to 1 assist/turnover ratio with 75ish starts in the pac-12...we could do worse.

I think if he commits, people can't expect him to be a 15 & 8 guy...if he does that in a new system, great...but it's very reasonable to expect a guy that will be a floor general we've lacked since.....Lue???  Maybe someone else after lol...either way, a long time!

  4. Interesting portal add...Freddy hicks from Tarleton State.  Has gotten better each of his 3 years there ROY & all WAC this year.  He'd be a 3 & D guy.  16 ppg 6 boards 34% 3pt, 75% FT.  6'6"  210.  Long and athletic

John Tonje entered yesterday from Colorado St.  Supposedly we have already been in contact. Went to Omaha Central.

6'6" guard.  Will be a 5th year senior.  Averaged 15 pt, 5 rb, 1 ast this past season.  39% from 3, 81% from the line.

Yes, saw this yesterday.   He'd be a good addition too.

  6. Nelly Junior Joseph from Iona Portaled yesterday...15 & 9 guy...guy is a beast inside....may very well follow pitino to St. Johns, but he'd be worth a feel out text

Love the length of Mustapha Amzil from Dayton 6'10" 220 stretch 4

In the gym range of Josh Nickelberry from Lasalle...A10 6th man of the year

This portal is starting to fill up with some dogs

  7. Best big man you either haven't heard of, or forgot about just entered the portal.   Graham Ike 6'9" 245 Rs So from Wyoming.  A legit 19 & 9 guy last year...redshirt this year rehabbing a leg injury.  This guy's legit.  Fun stats.  222 FTs attempted in 21-22...71.6%.  Usage rate was 35.4. Average usage rate tends to fall around the 20 mark...the cowpokes were very dependant on he and Maldonado last year.  And they sucked this year with 1 graduating and Ike redshirting.

  8. Rienk Mast entered the portal today.  3 yr starter at Bradley...a 4 who has a great back to the basket game and can stretch the floor a bit.  +6 plus/minus this year...nearly 14 ppg and 8 boards. 35% from 3 this year, 74% from the line...plus 2.5 and Ows and plus 1.8 Dws. probably the 2nd best player in the mvc this year...6'9"  240 lbs.  He's built for the big ten as a 4...been playing a 5 for Bradley.

We won't get him lol, but damn he'd be a great addition

  9. Any chatter about Jamison battle?  It would be nice to have a legit stretch 4 who can defend...

Also, Ed Jarvis from Yale, Chris Ledlum from Harvard, kahlif battle from temple, paxson wojcik from brown, mike mitchell jr from pepperdine, elijah hutchins-everett from austin peay are intriguing...but what do I know!

It's hard to go over or under a screen when the screener sets the screen with his feet 5 feet apart.  A foul should be called.  Somehow Nebraska got called for 4 illegal screens away from the ball, but MSU's #22 set illegal screens repeatedly at the top of the key to free up the ball handler and it was never called once.

I understand that, but defenders shouldn't have been that close to him anyway and walker should have ICE'd the pick & roll action...

They have lots of shooters...he ain't one of them.  It was poor on our part...good recognition on theirs.

Fouls called or not called are irrelevant because there's nothing we can do about that.  We can be smarter when guarding absolute NON shooters.  We guarded the guy on pick & roll like he was James freakin' Harden...going over...then staying on the top side, leaving the post defender as the drive stopper and forcing the perimeter players to squeeze, resulting in 70% 3s in the 2nd half...it's not hard to see how they got on fire...they adjusted,  we did not.

One game...bad result...I must move on!  Lol

  11. I will never understand how we guard their PG.  Dude is a terrible outside shooter with very little desire to take them...took one tonight missed it long by about 5 feet...he averages 2 3pa per game this season.  He's rajon rondo light.  Good facilitator/driver...well below average from range.

Yet, we go over ball screens and get out of rotation...we run at him in scramble and then leave a shooter wide open in the corner.

If I know this, the coaches and players know this.  Oh well I guess.  GBR!

When we had what they called the pipeline, we were three deep. Players waited their turn, they didn't transfer out for more playing time. Todays players won't sit and learn from the one's ahead of them.

With a player like this jacob-hood, you get him and see if he can help you. He may end up on the third string, lot of those before him did, but

by their junior years they were seeing a lot of playing time. I hope we can start to see that again, and the kids by in to what the coaches are trying to build.

    GBR!!!

I remember when gas was under $1

I'll never forget it.  It's a great memory.  I do, however, refuse to use that pricing as a baseline for my expectations.  Things change...remember the past, be grateful if the present ever comes close to great memories, don't expect it to repeat itself.

Wilcher is a liability on Def.  Lack of hustle tonight.  Gary on the bench was a killer.

Wilcher has been exposed this season, imo.  He's always been a bench guy.  Now hes a starter, hes not good enough to be that guy unless hes giving us 15 ppg...he's just a 15 minute guy that can provide a spark. Which is not a slight to him,  it's just who he is.  And that's ok.

He's had the yips all year...save for a few games.

Start Lawrence.   He's waaay more athletic, better defender and I'd argue a better shooter.

With all the recruiting services, I think it can vary but yes it is basically a handful of top tier guys.

So, around 130 schools don't get the #1 QB.  And around 1 does...got it!

  15. Was at this game...enjoyed every second of it.

We shot abnormally well & our D is legit.  The way they sag middle and force contested jumpers...swallow up dribblers trying to go middle and harass anyone with the ball is outstanding.  I just hope they keep scoring enough to win!  Because their defense will keep them in every game unless they run into a hot shooting team from the perimeter.

    GBR!
