I'm an 80 year old OU fan that was looking forward to the OU/NU series with the game on the anniversary year of one of the greatest games I personally have witnessed. I walked out of Oklahoma Memorial Stadium with a big smile on my face. It was typical of the OU and NU match ups back in that era of college football. That game garnered OU and NU more publicity, ever. The whole country watched the OU and NU yearly games. It was a classic.
With this series, I was thinking it might lead to more OU Vs NU games. I home this thought of Nebraska cancelling the game is just a joke or just plain ole rumor. My wanting to see the home and home series because we OU fans cherished the old NU series just like all Husker fans did, as well.
I won't comment on the consequences of NU actually cancelling the 2021 game, except to say that it would be a shame to deny both sets of fans to see the home and home series. We had so much great history and it is a shame not for our schools to meet every so often.
My guess is the reaction of Husker fans on the cancelling would be the same if we were to cancel such a game we would scream bloody hell over it.
Let the AD and the Administration how you all feel about cancelling the game.
