And because its going to snow this week, it certainly can't mean the earth is warming. - Its all good dude. This has already gone on too long for a joke that Clemson somehow stole our mojo. If you need a win, here you go, take it. I'll ship you a medal sometime.

Diversion.  Obfuscation.  Simple point up there and it's being mixed in with wheat straw after quoting it.

But it's all good I guess.

I learned that our D can be tough through the whole game no matter what they threw or ran at us.  The awarded shirts of Black nature were apparently well earned.  Good job by our coaches.

I also learned that our Heinrich guy is immature or some other mild word that recognizes his medium/high athletic abilities while noticing his opting for lesser actions at times on the field under duress.

I've done more jello shots inside Memorial Stadium than outside the past two decades.

(lookin' up 'jello shots') ... well I'll be ... woo!  They do that?  You did that?  People do that?  ... Will it work with oatmeal?  I'm old.

Imagine how much worse the stadium/fans could be over the last 8 years be if alcohol was allowed?

Alcohol, via airline mini bottles and often even 200 ml bottles, seems to be "allowed" in most sections of the stadium.  Jim Beam, JD, et al.  Who needs beer sales?  Just makes more trips to the stinky restrooms.  For those who do that.  Those other people.

  5. We seem to be inching past the "we always find a way to lose," and now are in the "maybe we won't find a way to lose this time" phase of the new HC's tenure here.

The Spartans are having quite the crappy season, hopefully that will continue against us.

Two more wins for sure with a ?  <----- my vote in the poll

Three more wins with a :dunno

Four more wins with a :clap

Five more wins with a :o

Six more wins with a :wasted

  6. Either notion being heavily lacking will doom a team (and dooms many every season).   I wish I could analyze thoroughly enough to understand, but can only say that for about 15 years of football now I've seen both as I watch games.  Earlier on  we were getting our 7,8, and 9 wins per season and we were lathering the whole program with bad words, but especially the coaches as the players seemed to at times be basically in a different world than Husker football (articles in the papers intimating that Callahan had "lost the players" for example).

Those were the good ole days with that many wins... I guess.  Compared to the past three coaches, yeah.

Recruiting looks scary these days, being dominated apparently by certain programs other than us around the country.   I fear for Nebraska football.. still.

I'm all for freezing the money till we see what happens.

But, just to be clear, even if the money isn't frozen, it's not going to the Iranian government.  It will be paid directly to vendors who provide food and assistants to Iranian people.

We should, of course, not trust that one iota.  There is an ongoing struggle, world-wide, to get monies from donated/provided sources to the intended recipients.  Jimmy Carter spent nearly every waking hour of his post-Presidential life attempting to thin out corruption with regard to that, in addition to fighting for fair elections in central America, as one example.  I was involved in a push for food and medical supply deliveries to sections of Uganda suffering from tribal mass slaughter and razing of whole villages and towns.  The struggle was with corruption at every level, not just armed war lords and thieves.  In Iran right now there are units who make demands of the sitting government, no matter who is in charge in the area, under the banner of Daesh, but who are just locals who have developed a steady stream of money and goods to their own special little bands of crooks.

Maybe we should send the 6B to Israel (and Gaza after it is leveled) to help rebuild. That would be a kick in the Iranian pants.

Being as how Israel is under attack by Iranian trained and armed Gaza Palestinians at the present time, yes, that would be a kick in the Iranian pants, and then some.

It comes down to the QB position. I legit can’t remember the last QB that I felt confident in who wouldn’t/couldn’t lose the game on his own. T-Marts freshman year maybe (was electric)? We’ve had some poor QB play for the better part of two decades.

Prospective starting QBs (recruiting prospects), the smart ones, the good ones, look at film and watch the O-Line.  We need an Eric Crouch or Tommy Frazier or at least an Adrian Martinez, and those types are probably not going to be impressed with our current situation there as they watch tape.  IMO.

Wasn't really sure where to put this so decided to start a new thread.  Watching Louisville dismantle Notre Dame tonight.  Brohm came into a program that had previous seasons of 8-5, 4-7, 6-7 and last year 8-5.  He inherited a "better" team than Rhule, but brought in 35 guys from the portal, (including his QB).  He now sits at 6-0 and is top 25.  Possibly top 20 after the newest poll.  If Louisville can have this success, why has NU wandered aimlessly for years.  Coaching?  Missing on recruits?  Scheme? Missing that "1" guy? Truly wondering.  Duke is now ranked....Elko turned them around in year one (2022). We continually recruit top 25, but we are still struggling.  Thoughts?

I've noticed that, too.  Why can't Nebraska be like other teams and stuff.

    Doggone it.

    - They're 60th (243)

    - We're 15th in the country in rushing yards per game (209)

    - They're 79th (148)

We averaged 5.0 yards per attempt.  They were 4.9.

Yep.  Reminds me of the olden days of MNF when Cosell was yammering stats and how Time Of Possession and Yards Gained Per Carry/Game would give you the winner of any given game as long as you're "at least 3 games into the season," when Dandy Don chimed in with, "statistics are not discussed down there."

I'm not accusing Rhule of deliberately sabotaging the season to make future seasons looked better by comparison.   It's not like that's been his gimmick his entire career or anything like that.

That joke (?) is getting around here and there.  Maybe next it'll be a meme.  Then it'll be misinformation dressed as information (with links).   Perhaps the coach will cultivate it as a rumor and try to bask in it as a sort of excuse for the losses, the blowouts.

Reminds me of a fight I watched after school as a fourth grader, it was two sixth graders;  big kids to a fourth grader.  Finally one got up from the ground with a nosebleed, torn shirt, dirt all over his face and hair, a forced smile on his face but pain and a bit of a cry in his eyes.  He got his butt kicked so bad that generally from then on kids seemed to not even want to be around him anymore.  I think the smile did wear off after a bit.
