I love the woo pig suey chant. It's obviously successful at doing what it's supposed to - being annoying and getting under the skin of opponents players/fans. The more we hate it the more they love doing it, which is the sign of any good cheer or tradition. Plus it's unique; better than any of the wal-mart generic brand chants we have.

That is exactly what I thought of. Yeah we were probably pretty cool to Pacific football fans in the 90s when we were beating them 70-21.
It can definitely be obnoxious and condescending when you're really good, but our fans have always been like this. We chanted HEIS-MAN for Ricky Williams when Texas ended our 47 game winning streak, we cheered for Northwestern when they came in unranked and beat us as a top 10 team, and whether we're good or bad or our opponent is good or bad opposing team players always remark about how we're intimidating for 60 minutes then abnormally nice after.
Anyways, great win tonight! Despite what comes next (although we can totally beat these guys again), we just knocked off the #1 team in the country in their home stadium in postseason baseball.

Wild pitch, then misses the throw back at the plate, then the throw back to the plate is late. Can't expect to beat a team this good with mistakes like that.

Wow...terrible mental mistake. Left two on with a very unnecessary 3rd out.
GBR!

I don't even like baseball, but when Nebraska baseball is doing well I freaking LOVE baseball! Gonna watch tonight's game on my projector in the theater room cranked up.

Question - assuming we win this game, we play Arkansas again tonight, and if we win that game we'd have to play Arkansas again on Monday?

If you're not going to be using them, I'll take 'em!

One last chance. Let's go boys!

Kid has a cannon but looks like a huge project player. Doesn't seem to have any intuitive pocket awareness.

The strikezones are driving me nuts. Super tight at the beginning but seemed like it was consistently small for both, but crazy disparity as the game has gone on.

And a homer. 8-3 Arkansas, that changed in a hurry.
Still good for us that they're wasting pitchers right? I know nothing about baseball!

We're 0-11 against Iowa and Wisconsin the last 6 years something has to change

Heaven forbid that a player or someone connected to the program or an announcer is factually criticized for something they do very poorly. On an opinion message board none the less. A board first- oh the horror
I don't think we've spent enough time factually criticizing the fact that he didn't shave before putting his voice on the air. Seems pretty serious

Have a friendly poker game tonight that starts at the same time - needless to say I'll certainly lose my buy-in with my attention divided at least in half by the game. GBR

It's crazy to me (in a good way) how the benefits of being a student athlete keep growing and growing.
You already had a full collegiate degree value, plus meals and housing, along with the best academic support, medical care, nutrition and fitness guidance you could ever hope for, all for "free". Now not only that but you also get branding experts to help you design logos, marketing campaigns and brand awareness too. That stuff is not cheap! Good for these student athletes.

Why do they even bother? These leagues have to just be a tax write-off at this point right?

Blake Lawrence's and Adi Kunalic's business with a huge partnership. Congratulations!
It's great to see so many former Huskers do well in business ventures later in life.
These NIL movements have me nervous about college sports in general but I'm glad people like this are finding ways to pioneer in these spaces and helping our school and student athletes in the process.

I think it was just one guy on twitter. Kept responding to one Arky beat writer who tweeted about Hagge flipping off the crowd with the names and photos of his family/girlfriend/etc.
Sports makes people act so dumb sometimes.
