I'm going to support this staff like I've supported all others previous. That doesn't mean that criticisms aren't valid. There are constructive ways of doing it. Ultimately, we have no control over how others choose to conduct themselves only how we do.

It's important to consider that while things don't always work out as intended, the intention was for it to. It's not that errors are made but that they are addressed and corrected.

Can we get serious about a post threshold before starting topics?  This drivel makes it so nobody wants to be here.

Merge them all into one. Give it a name set aside for those who feel the need to repeat these sorts of like commentaries ad nauseam.

If you put someone on the ignore list does it make the idiotic useless threads they post disappear too? If not can we take people's ability to create new posts if they have proven to not mature enough to handle it because every loss it brings a wave of these terrible topics.

Ignoring doesn't make threads disappear. A benefit though is that it identifies those one might not want to engage with or, to avoid subjects or viewpoints that might prove contentious. You're not going to stop posters from making the posts. It's their liberty to do so unless there's something particularly egregious I suppose. It does serve as an audit of sorts.

Easily 2-0 with Casey Thompson. The final 2/3 final td’s came at the expense of defense having to sellout for a big play - sack/scoop/score - because the offense wasn’t going to get NU back in the game.

Casey was a leader. And he made the most out of bad situations. Right out of the gate actually in our first game last year. We desperately need to get our quarterbacking right.

Can someone tell me why I should have any hope for this program. I am starting to lean towards disbanding football all together!  Please give me hope again

Change is constant. There's hope in that. Maybe temper expectations and put more trust in the process. That's easier said than done I know...

There's a couple question I sometimes ask myself. What is something that seems impossible? And what would make it possible? We really don't have any control what happens in a game or with a team. But we can apply that to our lives. Focus on those things and observe that happenings with the team less attached to the outcomes.

That's probably not an answer that you wanted to hear. There are things that would cause us to improve but as with causes they often don't happen on a time frame we'd prefer.

I'm not angry over the outcome of this game like Minnesota. Mostly I'm just deeply disappointed. I haven't given up on Jeff Sims though if Casey Thompson were here, we probably win at least one of those games.

Coach Rhule might've underestimated what he was up against with respect to improving Jeff's play. The important thing is that a correction is made. He's said that he'll do it. Unfortunately, I don't know that our other options would've changed the outcomes.

    Tough times! Tough times indeed...

As for what I learned, not much really. The defense again played pretty much lights out. How much more can one expect of them given how horrible the offense is performing. Their well is going to take even longer than I envisioned. And finally, to pay less attention to coach Sanders. He's an embodiment of narcissism and whatever thoughts I had of him being ethical given his statements of principal was clearly wrong.

    No thanks.

Coach Sanders is full of himself. And that's the example he sets for his sons and team. I wouldn't want him anywhere near a team I support. Everything is taken so personally.

    It's laughable.

While true, we have to be honest and say that Satterfield is an absolute disaster. And Rhule hired him.

Why he calls long developing pass plays with a liability at QB is terrible, let alone with the left side of the OL being a dumpster fire. He should realize his QB room is limited, and needs to develop an offense around the few strengths his QBs have, which is running the ball.

But instead of developing an RPO based simple offense using the strength of his players, we're seeing one of the worst scoring offenses in the country, which is simultaneously penalty prone AND turns the ball over at an obscene rate. Rhule and Satterfield insist on this pro-style attack when anybody with eyes and a half dozen firing neurons in their brain can see is an absolute disaster.

Makes sense. Have heard that Satterfield complicates things. Perhaps it's his attempting to "fit square pegs into round holes" that gets him into trouble. Got to have the right personnel and, if ya don't, person's gotta adjust. Maybe he needs to suspend his ego and do it.

While he has a heck of a lot of athletic ability, expecting Sims to be a pocket passer really seems to limit him. Altogether, the offense struggles to get into a rhythm and capture or maintain momentum. Turnovers and catastrophic mental errors does that! Unlike the defense, it doesn't appear that they play loose but pretty tight which might be one of the contributing factors as well. The QB's play affects the whole unit from a psychological standpoint, too.

Another thing I learned is Nebraska should not be charging their fans to watch the games. That should be stealing and they should stop asking for donations that should be fraud

Miss the days when we could flip the television on and watch games. We have to have cable or pay for most of them. Now a buddy has to hack into signals for me...(Ha) To boot we get lots more commercials that screw with the experience too.

Joking about the hacking part so don't turn me in or anything.

    Breathing practices usually help.

Begin with a 3-4 count inhalation, hold for 3-4 and exhale to a count of 4-5 and repeat. Then after some time, a count of 4 in, hold 4-5 and exhale to a count of 5-6, repeat. Lying down or comfortably seated. There are different variations for those who aren't familiar. Play with it. Nice deep breaths beginning just above your belly button up easily filling the cavity of your rib cage relaxing more and more with each exhale.

Consult with your health care professional. It helps to ease tension, slow heart rate, reduce blood pressure and bolster mental clarity after done consistently over a period of time. Several minutes three or more times a day. It really does work!

The offense can’t get into a rhythm. Or capture or keep much of any momentum. That’s terribly difficult to do having multiple turnovers. QB play, receivers that can’t help him out, an offensive line that continues to underperform and an inconsistent rushing game. The mental errors continue to plague us.

We’re just not playing well offensively and it’s hard to imagine us improving a whole lot at this point.  Coach Rhule has his work cut out for him.
