Thought all three players played well.
Excited <sarcasm> for the hot takes that Raiola sucks if he doesn't complete 80% of his passes and 100 TD / 2 int on the season.
It's already starting.....
Nobody said Raiola sucks or even is remotely judging him based off a all star that plays second fiddle to the All-American game played in San Antonio Texas. Just was trying to gauge his performance from others who played around him.

I know Raiola's team came back and won bc that is what my brother told me but what were his final stats for the game? My brother wasn't really impressed with Raiola and how he performed in the game from what he told me. Said he threw a pick in the game as well. I know he is playing against good competition bc it's a all star game but I'm not looking too deep into it considering some starters didn't have time to practice and showed up mid week to play. Just trying to get a understanding on how he played out there other then just my brother who I don't fully trust on his judgement.

Frustrating. I had high hopes with the start but this team simply cannot win in conference on the road. I don't see a scenario where they make the tournament at this rate because they will inevitably drop a couple at home in the last 7. 20 wins won't do it, 22 is the number, and I see needing at least 3-4 road wins to get there.
I'm in totally agreeance with you with not seeing them making it into the tournament. The ship is starting to sink and they just look lost. Fred Hoiberg and staff have to figured it out fast otherwise he's a goner. I just don't think if this team makes the NIT that it has the same value as making the NCAA tournament unless Trev and certain feel like it's progress.

So now that he was named the co-OC along with Satterfield does Satterfield still doing the offense play calling or Thomas? I knew he was going to be named the new qb's coach but now he has more then just coaching them.

Dayton Raiola interview with Husker Online from the Polynesian Bowl. Gives insight to his brother, how much he talks to the NU coaches, and what he wants to work on as a qb. He is going to still play ball at Buford High School next year and going to try to earn the starting role as a junior. Sounds to me that he has a lot of admiration for Nebraska. Dylan then Dayton let's go!!!

Yeah I get the home thing. But a guy that talented, that plays on the offensive side of the ball? Seems he could land about anywhere he chose to. Heck Nebraska could take him and he’d still be pretty close to home
Right it would be nice to add him but I think we are going to roll with the o-line we have.

What if Satterfield doesn’t struggle? What if he only struggles a little bit? What if Val’s stops selling pizza in the stadium, then who is OC and QB coach?
I only said struggles bc when he was at SC fans weren't happy with his play calling. Now I know we were very limited with what he could call last season but now that we have people in place we should be a lot better baring any injuries to the offense. Yes it will take time to gel but please don't call a play to throw a pass on third and short just run the damn ball.

Offensive rank was not great but better than we were this year. He had to split the year with 2 QBs each playing about half the games and both had better years with him than without. They set a school record that year for completion percentage. Their RB had 1192 yards 16 TDs and 5.5 ypc. Nothing mind blowing but it was one year and who knows what kind of talent they had. I do remember watching some ASU games from that year when Thomas was rumored to be the OC hire and they ran some interesting routes that looked effective.
I asked bc If Satterfield struggles do you think Thomas would replace him after the season and still be the qb coach??

Sounds like our new coach is working hard. Rhule doesn’t seem like a guy who sits around in the off-season.
Yeah that was one of things that Trev Alberts wanted was a coach to be out there in the public. Even though the wins haven't come yet, he is starting to be the face of the program or one might argue he is. To making radio interviews and public appearances you can't say he isn't working to trying to improve the roster and bringing back respectability to the program as well as doing a great job of being accessible. If the offense takes a step forward and the defense plays as well as they did then we can get to a bowl game. I still would like him to bring in another qb to add depth to the qb room and just in case of injury bc I don't trust what is behind Raiola.

How did Glenn Thomas offense fair at Arizona State? I ask bc I know Herm Edward's got fired but was the offense the problem or something else (NCAA violations, defense)?
-
Another good interview from the Polynesian Bowl. Talks about the 3 new additions to the offense and the new qb coach Glenn Thomas. Great interview.

If he comes here it isn't going to be as an OC. It would be as an analyst.
I know. I was saying that it would be more beneficial to him to come here as a OC then a analyst. Since he isn't going to be the new OC here there aren't many benefits to him to come here and be a analyst in my mind.

Why do you say that?Bc I could see him sitting back and trying to improve and learning on his own time and not being locked in to one set program. Plus I believe but I could be wrong is that he is still getting payed from Houston after getting fired. If he did come here as a OC and did improve the offense there would be more programs that would be interested in the how instead of being a analyst where he wouldn't necessarily get the credit for the improvement. Also most former head coaches go to Alabama as analyst to improve their stock not Nebraska where they are trying to learn how to win.

So is there any new news out there is the rumor mill or real world about Holgorson?
Well now that Nebraska has a new qb coach one would have to think that Holgorsen isn't coming now just to be a analyst here. No benefit to him doing that.

Well back into the portal for Purdy, he should have stayed.
Absolutely. Who knows how long it will take now that his new coach is leaving to find a new team. Would Nebraska even take him back if he wanted to come back? Not saying he would want to but could it be a possibility?

Cavazos wasn’t doing his job and was making decisions on his own. He was telling recruits we weren’t interested in them without talking to the coaches first.
Really? That's disappointing to hear.

He is only 6'1...If he were 6'5 or so, everyone would be offering.
He ran a laser timed 4.48 in the 40 at 275 lbs.
Thanks. I was thinking that but Aaron Donald is the same height and we all have seen what he has done with his athleticism. I'm not saying he is Aaron Donald but he has comparable athleticism like him.

Well Trey Palmer gave credit to Nebraska in his introduction while Lavonte David introduced himself from Fort Scott Community College which is where he got his start during the Bucs vs Lions playoff game. It would have been cool to see 2 mentions of Nebraska.
