A lot of guys on here who will be preferred walk-ons next year, it appears? (Koch, Ruggeroli, Taylor, etc...) And guys who prob. won't be back (IGC & Piper, for two). But yeah the scholarship # stuff is fascinating these days...

I know a lot of people expect Ethan Piper not to come back bc of all the injuries he has had but he hasn't said anything yet so until he does I still am treating him as a guy that is coming back.

Defense travels ....   er.... wait ....

When Nebraska plays like that they deserve to lose and just like that all the excitement went out the window for the basketball program.

    So frustrating.

problem is, they came out early just throwing up crap early in the shot clock for no reason. Then they get down big.

    stupid.

Yup take one step forward two steps back.

from down 17-2 to start the game....to tied early in the 2nd half is a hell of a comeback.

I know Nebraska is great at home but they need to win these games on the road to be a consistent winning team.

Hopefully he didn’t move all his stuff to Seattle.  Wonder if he ends up at Bama?

I wonder where he goes next bc you would think he would follow him to Alabama but Alabama has a qb in place.

That looks like the actor that plays the Flash on the CW show lol.  Yeah that sucks to be Washington.  They will probably promote within or find a developmental coach.  Don't see them finding a proven winner that is going to make a lateral move.

That's bs.  Kalen DeBoer has no reason to be afraid of facing Matt Rhule.  Alabama got a great coach.  Proven winner.  I wonder if he brings his whole staff or he brings a few coaches.  He already has the players there so he should be able to win right away.

I'm not saying that I wouldn't want a second transfer QB to come in with experience.  I'm saying it's almost impossible to convince a guy, with experience, to come in telling him he's sitting on the bench.

So, you can dream all you want about getting a guy like that, but it's a pipe dream...at best.

That's a good point but there has to be at least one guy Nebraska could go after that has very little experience bc little experience is better then none.  I haven't looked at how many qb's are in the transfer portal but you would have to think there still are plenty out there.  Not top guys but guys in the middle of the pack like Purdy.

I'm fine with this as long as our young talent sticks around and keeps developing.

    Almost impossible to do.

So if Raiola gets hurt we turn to DK or HH as the back up?  We all saw that HH has a long ways to go has a passer and DK needs to gain weight and develop more so if Raiola gets hurt which I don't hope or wish upon him then we are screwed.  Also I think IGC is a talented wr just hasn't had the best of him yet.  I'm still in shock that Bonner doesn't play wr bc of how talented he was coming out of high school at that position.

  10. So now that we have a completely new offense does everyone expect Neyor and Banks to start along with Dowdell and Raiola or do you think Gabe or Rahmir might start a head of Dowdell?  I feel like the offense is going to look completely different next year now.

I feel fairly confident that most of the transfers will be on NIL deals.  Neyor, Banks and Mazzccua almost certainly are as seniors.  On a more normal year, maybe younger guys like Dowdell and Hill would be on scholarship but with our numbers where they're at they almost have to be on NIL-for-now deals.

Even without those five, there probably needs to be a few more guys leave.  And there probably will be after they see where they're at on the depth chart after spring ball.

Now that Banks has committed, I read that people think IGC and Bonner transfer out.  Also still think we should bring in a qb that has some experience and to add depth to the qb room.  Don't know who bc I haven't heard Nebraska going after anyone.

Malachi Nelson to Boise St. :dunno  With top rated prospects falling this far, where do Purdy and Sims land?

Top rated prospects want to play.  The old age of football is gone.  Having multiple top rated prospects on your roster at the same position, yes helps you in case the starter gets hurt but rarely are you going to find prospects that want to sit and wait their turn or moment to get on the field.  Nelson going to Boise State while shocking bc a player of his caliber you think end up right back at a top program after he transferred probably saw the talent and or rosters of the top programs and realized their wasn't a clear path to getting on the field.  Nebraska was blessed to be in the position of getting Raiola not only bc of family history here but also a clear path to start right away.  Purdy I assume will go to a Cali school that's where he is from (Cal or San Jose State) and with Sims and how he didn't play well at Nebraska will probably go to a lower tier school where he is going to have to compete for a spot or maybe you and me will never hear his name again but who knows :dunno best of luck to them both.
