Name one in the power 5.  What CU has done is unprecedented.   Credit where it's due but this is lightning in a bottle that just doesn't happen.

TCU last year and how many first year coaches take their teams to bowl games? MORE TIME!!!!!

Deon Sanders is a fool, the more i watched him after news broke out hey may of been at Nebraska.  All i see is a man who clearly wants his own lifetime NIL deal.  Id like the wins but i have zero want for the circus that would follow that.  Some of you didnt even want what the likes of Urban Meyer would of brought as far as media attention.

He is better at recruiting certain players.

Yeah this is the typical answer I'd expect from our loser fan base. Guess it wasn't a circus when our tight ends coach was fired before fall camp or our transfer tight end is arrested days before kickoff.

“And it begins” - LOL !

What’s the O/U for how many games before local sportswriters 100% turn on Rhule & Co.? My guess is 19 games.

Rhule is one of the highest paid coaches in the game and the highest paid employee in the state. He is not above criticism.

Sims was his buddies QB who ended up getting fired. Satterfield is also his buddy who wasn't very popular with SC fans. Neither looked good last night both were Matt Rhule choices.

    Complete BS

This team has great leadership and played hard.  If anything, they're trying too hard and ended up "forcing" mistakes.

Nobody was half assing the effort.

It was a messy first game with a ton of new players and a new staff, and they still nearly won.

If you're surprised that a bunch of new players/coaches made some mistakes in their first game, look in the mirror as to the problem, not at the team.

The problem is this first or 20th time this has happened the past several years and many of the guys on this roster were apart of those teams.

Yes. It's a vicious cycle and it's seriously so f****** weird to me that our $72M coach went this route.

Not saying that Sims doesn't have potential. But in this game, he objectively played very bad. Like, he was a couple rungs above basically a Wildcat QB.

Now maybe he rises above that and turns heads. I could believe it could happen. But there might have been a lot we could have done out of the big sets with Casey at the helm while also mixing Sims in there.

Yup all this talk of our NIL we couldn't have bought a better QB or kept Casey Thompson? This QB was part of the team's that got Rhules friend fired.

  6. Sims reminded me of 2AM, the offensive line is awful, the WRs might be 2019 bad, the defensive front is some dogs, Hartzog is a safety playing CB, Special teams is good.

Can we get to 6 wins? Yeah maybe I think so but this offensive line has GOT to play better in league play.

There are "mistakes" and then there are completely dumb idiot moves (done intentionally and incompetently)  that should not only be punished but mocked as well.

Maybe "the help he needs" is to be mocked and derided for doing stupid things, which is the case for pretty much all of us that weren't 5* athletes who were worshiped and given preferential treatment for our entire lives...

    We're helping.

Yeah this is a pretty Nebraskan take. Mental health is a very serious thing doesn't excuse what he did but is understandable in context of what he was reportedly going through.
