If Synek sees meaningful snaps this year or into the future, that means that NU has failed miserably at recruiting and developing scholarship QB's.

Whether he sees snaps or not your statement is already fact. Adrian, Joe , Dylan, and those are just the misses with recruiting/development we KNOW about. At this point I’m desperate enough to HOPE we have an over looked diamond in the rough in Synek.

To be fair they did adjust and start to stuff Grant, but Purdy is so awful in the pocket we couldn't make them pay.

If Purdy really was the better QB, but he's not throwing well (all hypothetical because he can't throw well) then you need to start mixing in some read plays to make the defense pay. Any modern college offense that is not running a reads with their quarterback is either Iowa, terrible, or both.

I don’t disagree w you but we also gave up on grant too quickly and just started calling plays like they are playing madden 2022 out there

Agree that Whipple has not been good, but how is this Trev’s fault? He didn’t hire Whipple.

When did I say anything about TA? I was responding to the OP’s comment about how bad whipple has been. Just because I made a comment about how bad the play calling is doesn’t mean I was connecting that to the AD.…

I think Trev Alberts should resign after this embarrassment and forcing Whipple on us. AG 80 yards first quarter....lets knock that off.

It’s actually inexcusable. The first two drives were great then in true husker fashion for the past 2 decades it’s like ok now that we know what works,  let’s shelve it and try and be cute and flashy and try and get highlight reels. f#&%ing bush league coaching

Not sure if this belongs in this thread or his recruiting thread, but is anyone else concerned that Coleman is a project? I love his size and athleticism. NU has to take him just because he’s a freak athlete. But, I am not sure he’s an immediate contributor which many fans think he is. If he’s a WR, I guess we can have him streak down the field once or twice a quarter as a freshman, but from what I understand, he has a long ways to go as a route runner.

It also sounds that he may be injury prone, possibly? It would suck if it turns out to be another Omar Manning scenario.

Does this increase the chances Mickey can flip Raiola?

That would be great but doubtful. Honestly I’d rather see us rabidly recruiting OLine. Skill players are nice but as proof positive from this season it’s hard for them to produce consistently without a high caliber line

  7. Be interesting to see how this pans out, but it can’t hurt our offense by any means. Also good from a recruiting standpoint. Shows that there is top 100 talent locally and that we can keep top 100 talent home. If we can’t recruit local talent how are we going to convince good players from across the country to play here.
