This year will probably be worse -- IL has too many offensive playmakers for our beloved Huskers D, and the IL defense is stout and getting better every game.

I just don’t see them improving that much. They haven’t proved themselves that much against a big pass play offense. The only pass first team they have played (Indiana) they lost to. Their DBs have high ratings because they don’t have to make play after play when they face the run. They just have to make a play once in a while while they have full energy because they are not often targeted. I’d like to see a heavy air attack by NU to test these DBs. Get the ball out quick (don’t trust OL) and make the DBs tackle in space. I think this game will be high-scoring. Both teams will score at least 24 imo.

My Prediction: 34-30 NU, with a 10 point Husker lead held in the 4th Q (something XHCSF could not do)

Dykes up by 7 in first quarter. He's great. Klieman is out.

Another blown lead by a coaching candidate means one less option, I think we may be out of them sooner or later,

PJ and Dykes are just failing rn, oh and btw they are each tied in their games

Edit: PJ is now losing in a one score game, and Dykes’ TCU with a 3 point lead on KSU and Klieman (who is losing and therefore will never, EVER be connected to this page again)

    Please not fleck

Stop overreacting; he is looking like a really good candidate, maybe number 1, because he is winning by 3 in the 1st Q

Gosh, what an awful candidate… already blew his 3-point lead

Gonna be tough to retain him… likely will have to make him one of the highest-paid assistants in the country. Others will be courting him.

True, but I feel like with him it’s not just about the money, but also relationships. Obviously money speaks (we easily have the money to keep him), but MJ recruiting all of these prospects to NU and building trust with them and their families has to impact his decision. I think with the quality and amount of relationships built that he would stay more so bc of that than money.

Are you kidding me about not handling expectations. Lol. These are the same kids that were picked LAST. Just because he won 5, doesn’t change the roster. He has also almost won with a back up qb.  Expectations are when you enter a season ranked highly and then choke, not when you overachieve and play undermanned on the road against good teams. Smh

Terrific point. Ahem, ahem, ND, :ou1:, A&M, Baylor, MSU, Miami, Wisky

The KU turnaround has been remarkable and way better than expected

Does anyone on here still want Leipold? Three-straight loses now for KU. Seems like he’s a choke-artist to me and can’t handle high expectations. After Kansas started 5-0, expectations came into play and KU folded.

QB got hurt against now no. 8 TCU, but chances of winning are slim anyway when the D allows 125 points in last 3 games
