  1. Nebraska as a team is on pace to hit about 60 home runs this year, in a 44-game season. I don't think they live and die by it, either. Still disturbed by strike outs, but showed some good patience today while Iowa pitchers were struggling with control.

Honestly.. IMO (not worth the salt on my brow I know).. Maybe there's a positive in this loss. Maybe (hoping) the loss leaves such a horrendous taste in the seniors mouths they stand strong behind their coach and stick around for one more season. As for the staff though, first place to maybe look is O-line coaching, 2nd place is an actual running backs coach and lastly, the offensive system as a whole. Maybe stop with the spreads, push the power game more and win ugly for a few years. Seems to work for Wisconsin, Iowa, Northwestern and heck.. even the Illini have went that direction. If Frost wants to run the RPO then implement more option offense into it because the offense he's running right now isn't working.

Some of the seniors need to move on. They have no idea how to win and I have no reason to believe they'll flip the switch suddenly.

The system isn't that bad, the system had receivers running open but Martinez and McCaffrey for his two plays couldn't hit them. QB play was an abject failure today from the first throw for -9 yards.

Sort of the same style as that psychic from years ago (Jeanne Dixon?) that would make ~100 predictions at the start of the year about celebrities, then when one or two of them would come true, crow about how great she was.

To the devoted believer, the psychic can do no wrong. If there was an error, it wasn't the psychic's fault. What may appear to be an error may not really be an error. It's possible the psychic got his or her wires crossed and mistook one spirit for another. And so on. And, as Van Praagh and Browne have often said, they're not gods and not infallible. When you're validated you're right and when you're wrong you're right. For the alleged psychic it is always a win-win with your devoted followers.

A pretty apt comparison, just replace "Van Praagh" and "Browne" with Sir Yacht and "psychic" with "inside source" and just ignore the spirit part I guess.

You’re blaming the media for people reacting to Trump saying injecting disinfectant is something we should look into. Just listen to yourself. This is asinine.

He also referred to it as “cleaning.” He wasn’t talking about blood nor does it really matter if he was (he wasn’t).  If it’s worth researching the scientists will figure that out. Trump should shut the f#&% up about things he knows nothing about, stop floating moronic ideas that pop into his head, and let the scientists do the research. Then when they give him information that should be shared he can do that. What he’s doing is imbecilic and you should not be defending it.

Yeah, I say why not both? "We thought if anything it would help us ‘cus that's what we've been hearing on the news." The lady's own words.

Toilet paper hoarding was never recommended by the administration, yet: “It might seem weird that people would hoard toilet paper because toilet paper is not going to prevent you from getting infected. I think what’s happening is this is going viral with images of people panic-buying toilet paper."

Yes the media can make things worse. Human psychology is weird like that...

Just to be contrarian, I'm seeing this floated around.  Injecting blood "disinfected" by UV light has been used in the past.  Reading the conclusion of that link there are obviously risks involved but more research is called for.  Of course if this is what Trump meant he should have said so. But the media will also not point this alternative treatment out and will run with the Lysol angle so idiots will try it and injure themselves :dumdum Darwinism and all that (also note the people who ingested fish tank cleaner aren't Trump supporters).

So it's not a fact when NY state comes out and says they are counting 3700 deaths in the total that were never tested?  That's as factual as you can get.  I always knew CNN had a loyal fan base... I just never met one of them.  Check that off the list.

They're transparent about it. Why do you think H1N1 deaths in the US were presented as a range between 8,868-18,306? This is not a new concept. CNN blows.

  7. Former catchers as pitching coaches used to be the norm, and somehow everybody managed to not have ERAs in the 20s, so I don't think it matters that much. I think pitching this year was going to be a work in progress no matter who was coaching, losing both of the Waldrons, Eddins, Fisher, and to a lesser extent some of the other seniors and Chad Luensmann (who gave up 4 runs in his only appearance so far this year at UCF :/ ), there isn't a ton to work with. Throw in a bunch of errors and you get last night xP

Agreed. The only “Debbie Downer” part would be how many runs our starter and relief pitching did give up down the stretch. I’ve already voiced my concerns on this going into the season.

Hard to judge. A nearly ¾-hour, 11-run 1st inning changed the script on the mound. You don't have to get cute at that point nor use your top relievers. Free passes would have made the comeback easier for Baylor so you play it safe not getting too fancy trying to paint corners etc. There was some slick defense behind the pitchers, too, though. But it's only one (very good) game. I'll save my complaints for year 3 if necessary :o

Edit: SL beat me to it :p
