  1. Yeah, I don't see MJ running through the line with the rock eluding tacklers like Helu. However, I hope you're not insinuating that MJ couldn't play football. He's what 6'7 or so? He run like a 4.3 or 4.4 40. He'd have been an outstanding football player as a WR. Now, can you say the same thing about Helu as a basketball player? MJ and Tiger Woods can be mentioned in the same sentence, but I don't think Helu is quite to their level yet.

Are you trying to say Jesus Christ can't hit a curveball?

    Tebow doesn't play baseball.

  2. This is a lot of posts for a rumor that was mostly started in this thread.

It didn't start in this thread, I heard things elsewhere first, not on Unsportsmanlike Conduct either. The UBIQUITOUS, ANONYMOUS SOURCE. It seems to be picking up steam. Unfortunate if true, but proper perspective is in order: it's just a game. I hope the illness isn't too serious for the sake of the guys, not the sake of a game.

I'm just saying, it's scary enough to think about, let alone talk about. it's not worth getting worked up if it is unsubstantiated.

I believe it is substantiated though, just based on where it's coming from. Even so, it's not even rumored to be widespread, 1 or 2 guys, 3 at most? One of them a reserve tight end? Never mind that a lot of the swine flu "scariness" is media flogging dedhoarse Hell, the WHO (world health organization, not the band The Who) said at one point regular seasonal flu was worse.

To quote that Tennesse coach in the 2000 Fiesta Bowl game: "WASH YOUR HANDS!" Or. . .something like that.

  4. You're wrong. If you were here I would kick you in the testicles very, very hard. So hard they would forcefully exit your mouth.

Wait, do you want rationale? Because I'm not sure yet. I will say Georgia sucks, Mark Richt never bothered to recruit a QB to step in after Stafford. They'll have issues with consistency.

  5. It's beyond our control as fans. I highly doubt Pelini is telling the team "It's OK, you tried your hardest." Fans, meanwhile, can say whatever they want, it doesn't mean anything to the coaches. It's THEIR job to challenge the players and put them in position to win games. Not mine.

Huh? I think it's part of our job as fans to also challenge the players and coaches

Well, for one thing, I don't think that's necessary with this staff and AD. Do you think players read the board and say, "OH JESUS, some dude with a bunch of numbers in his screen name thinks I suck. Must. Work. HARDER."? I don't go to practice every day to make sure the coaches are doing their job. They don't even know who I am, or who any of us are as individuals. But hey, if you think posting your dissatisfaction with a loss gives them that extra OOMPH, whatevs.

  7. YouTube immediately muted the audio for a copyright violation, yet searching youtube for "The Sharpest Lives" brings up dozens of videos from people who have nothing to do with MCR and they're not being muted. So I disputed it and it works now, can't guarantee it'll stay that way.

  8. Yeah, Yost and Hauptman have done enough to warrant their spots I think. Earlier in the year when the bats were actually a factor we would have been thrilled to have the kind of starts they're having, but now it looks bad because the lack of pitching then forced the scoring into its present death-spiral. Funny year, not fun to watch but certainly one I'll remember.
