could he be sued for making such claims?

Part of me would like to see it, but on the other hand they would use that as fuel that they're being "persecuted" and then cite Isaiah 5:20 to justify this belief. Baseless gossip and slander are apparently OK if you read about it on a website that posts a new article every 6 months detailing the most recent SUPER-SECRET arrest and execution of Pope Francis. That guy has more lives than Super Mario.

You mean I got the job?  I was just up that way and at a Runza filled out a questionnaire about being the AD at UN. I thought it was a joke so I *ahem* exaggerated about my qualifications.

*waits by the phone for THAT call*

As long as you mentioned dipping your Runza in Dorothy Lynch the rest is not important.

I dont think so. His base salary is 400K- not sure how he could double that plus in incentives when this year they were 2 and BBQ in regionals

He is at $800K+, Sipple mentioned it in the article as well.

Side note Justin Seely was an assistant at Texas A&M for 11 years. Be interesting if Bolt brings him or as above poster mentioned Childress back to Nebraska.  Side Note. Logan Sartori IF/OF for A&M has entered transfer portal and went Lincoln Southwest.

Logan's brother Luke is already on the roster here also, you know. Didn't play much but pinch-ran here and there. Singled in his first at-bat against Northwestern if memory serves.

  5. I'm glad DVH elevated the standard for Nebraska baseball, that's good. I don't know what else he was supposed to say in those press conferences. But I'm still not gonna root for Arkansas. You don't slander the good name of Morris John "Mojo" Hagge. That man gave his life in the War of 1812. Show some respect.

But seriously, **** their redneck fans.

It's a good thing you guys play in a nobody baseball conference. You can't handle the big time. Your player flipped off a fan for something every SEC fanbase does every weekend in the drunk outfields.

You sound like little girls. You went Big Ten soft and it's sad to see.

Actually, no he didn't, your fans are making crap up :nanalama

It can definitely be obnoxious and condescending when you're really good, but our fans have always been like this. We chanted HEIS-MAN for Ricky Williams when Texas ended our 47 game winning streak, we cheered for Northwestern when they came in unranked and beat us as a top 10 team, and whether we're good or bad or our opponent is good or bad opposing team players always remark about how we're intimidating for 60 minutes then abnormally nice after.

Anyways, great win tonight! Despite what comes next (although we can totally beat these guys again), we just knocked off the #1 team in the country in their home stadium in postseason baseball.

I was at the game against Iowa State in 2009 (sorry to all for bringing that up), we were surprisingly cordial :dumdum

I would like him to keep it close to the vest and see how all of his arms are feeling tomorrow.

He wasn't shy earlier today after the NJIT game naming Perry, but it's definitely not a huge deal either way :koolaid2: Whoever it is may not even be asked to do more than 2 innings, we'll see.

Handley splits PBP duties with Greg Sharpe, with Sharpe calling most innings. I don’t know if Handley made the trip to Fayateville for this weekend.

I recall Handley working more with McLaughlin on some road series, but it may have been a random mix of the three, with NH/BM one or two times, NH/GS the other, and mostly GS/BM. I'm not thinking clearly with the way this game is going :wasted

Pretty sure they are not on-site and relying on camerawork that is ... shaky at best.

Makes me wonder if the announcers are just watching the exact same feed we are. Wouldn't make much sense to not give them some alternate angles for plays like that but ESPN makes weird decisions, like putting the #1 team on ESPN3 on Saturday night.

Ok, I saw this somewhere but don’t remember where.

But, shouldn’t Arkansas be passed about this too?  They are the #1 seed and should have an easier opponent in regionals.

Remember that time in 2002 where Nebraska hosted a regional and got Marist, Wisconsin-Milwaukee and Southwest Missouri State? And Nebraska wasn't even a top 8 seed that year :laughpound Nebraska swept, outscored all of them by a combined 30-6, absolutely the easiest freaking regional in the history of regionals. The NCAA works in mysterious ways.

  12. Just a reminder, Nebraska has lost to the likes of Western Carolina, Yale and Holy Cross in regionals the last 5 years. "Easy" opponents haven't meant squat. Last regional game for Nebraska was a 16-1 loss to UConn. Time to git gud.

  13. Hroch needs to take today's game by Povich as an assault on his own position as reigning pitcher of the week and throw 9 straight innings of 1-pitch at-bats for a perfect, 27-pitch complete game, which has never been done in the history of baseball anywhere except maybe some shady Cuban league. "How's THAT for immaculate?" his mustache would say right to Cade's decidedly un-mustachioed face after the game :koolaid2::koolaid2::koolaid2::koolaid2::koolaid2::koolaid2::koolaid2::koolaid2::koolaid2::koolaid2::koolaid2::koolaid2::koolaid2::koolaid2::koolaid2::koolaid2::koolaid2::koolaid2:

Or 6 or 7 solid innings would be fine too I guess.

Are they going to try and start Shay on Sunday? He hasnt been great of late.

If not, what do they try to cobble together inning wise? Im guessing it depends on how deep Roach can go tomorrow.

Bolt said on the radio prior to the game that he didnt view these games as do or die and wasnt going to press with his pitchers. Povich then threw 8 innings and Schwelly finished so- not sure what he has in mind.

Povich threw 7 innings. Bunz pitched the 8th. Povich and Hroch was/will be limited to no more than 90 pitches. Povich was getting tagged in the 7th so no way he would have come out and pitched the 8th anyway, he finished with 86 pitches.

Probably will see Kyle Perry start Sunday for a few more innings of rehab, Schanaman available in the bullpen.
