  1. Lol, just saw this post. Somehow I was 3rd to bring the news, damn slow cell phone.
  2. We've heard the stories about recruits seeing license plates and picking Nebraska. We're going to chalk this one up to HuskerT being in attendance. You will forever live in HuskerBoard lore. Thanks, had fun doing it. If anymore CA recruits have us on their list and are announcing I'll be there.
  3. I did get some pics and video I'll post them as soon as I get home
  4. The head coach was standing right behind me when Terrell anounced and his exact quote was "Well, he's gona need an overcoat". I said he'll be able to focus on football and he said "no problem there, he's an excellent student and you're getting a good one"
  5. Loud applause when he pulled the Husker hat, but I did get the impression that some of the adults present especially the head coach wanted ucla. He and his family were very excited that's all that matters. Spoke briefly with Terrell Sr. He said they fell in love with Nebraska the first time they saw it
  6. Lot of ucla buzz amongst the adults present
  7. They've just put Husker hat and Ucla hat on the table.
  8. Yes, representing with Husker polo. Spoke with several students and they say the buzz has been Huskers around the school.
  9. NBC cameras just showed up, must be a big deal. Huskersonline is represented as well
  10. Just got to Chaminade HS, unfortunately no wifi for my laptop so I'll have to update using my phone, may be a little slower.
  11. At least Scout is paying attention. This kid is a beast, the other recruiting services should follow suit.
  12. Thanks for the info, I'm looking forward to it.
  13. Well I guess I shouldn't give him this pie my wife baked for him
  14. Ok, I've spoken with Chaminade High School's AD and I will be able to attend the announcement ceremony. I won't have any contact with Terrell, I'll just be there to give live updates and hopefully the first one to bring the news to HB. It's almost an hour drive from my house so hopefully it'll be worth the trip. Somebody please let me know if wearing a Nebraska affiliated polo shirt is any type of violation.
  15. No worries, I'm not that serious about doing it, but it would be cool.
  16. I'd be lying if I said it wouldn't be cool to hear a loud drawn out GBR with Newby responding with another GBR That's the plan. lol Apparently it will be closed to the public, but I'm waiting to hear back from the schools AD. Stay tuned....
  17. I'm going to check if the announcement will be open to the public, if so I will seriously consider going and representing.
  18. im guess that that the reason he is visiting is that we wont be filled at CB when he visits.... Unfortunately, I think you're right.
  19. No comparison. Yes, Suh wasn't the dominant player we all know him as till his junior and senior year, but at least he was able to play himself onto the field as a freshman and sophomore. Guy can't sniff the field and that's with zero depth at the position. There's obviously a reason for that. Good point. I guess I see Jay Guy just like I saw TMart last year. Not ready to give up on a sophomore. Even though the Suh/Guy comparison is a stretch, I still think keeping Suh's history in mind could be instructive. Plus, there are some additional comparisons that can be made between Suh and Guy. For starters, both Suh and Guy seemed to have better Freshman seasons than Sophomore seasons. Suh was very disruptive off the bench as I remember it as a Freshman. Granted, he earned a starting position as a Soph, but our interior D-line performance was worse in 07 then this past season. In our worst performances against the run this year (Wisky, Georgia) it seems like a lot of the damage was done running the ball outside. In 07 I saw bigger holes in the interior line than I have ever witnessed as an NU fan. Guy actually did sniff the field (not a lot) as a Freshman. Another similarity between Suh's sophomore yr and this past season is that we had a first year D-line coach. I have no idea whether Guy specifically will come around. I do agree with EZ about not wanting to give up on a sophmore. Whether it's Guy or Williams or Peete or Rome, I believe somebody from the 2010 or 2011 recruiting classes will step up and make an impact next year. Throw in the 2012 class and we might be alright. Um....Peat is gone. Thanks for keeping up though. In his defense, its been hard to keep track of our under-achieving DT's. I thought Guy was gone too!
  20. I find it interesting that Mora is telling recruits that he's never going back to the NFL. I don't expect him to tell recruits that he is going back someday, but sounds like a snake in the grass move to say it like that.
  21. No comparison. Yes, Suh wasn't the dominant player we all know him as till his junior and senior year, but at least he was able to play himself onto the field as a freshman and sophomore. Not ready to give up on a sophomore. I for one was ready to give up on TMart, but I'm actually glad we didn't. If he could just learn to take care of the ball better and stop throwing those terrible int's, he could be a damn good college QB.
  22. Lot of people on other boards getting nervous because of his in-home with Mora and UCLA staff. Too little too late, Newby will be N.
