Loving our new SmashRaid offense It's a meld of smash mouth football with an air raid ability, mostly air raid is attempted but we go back to smash mouth occasionally.

Props to Gus Johnson. Maryland Michigan game and he basically wore emotion on sleeve for a potential targeting call on Maryland which was bogus. He was emphatically saying what is the defender supposed to do! Bang bang play and Michigan WR catches ball and starts to go low and Maryland defender somewhat turns and gets the receiver bit high with shoulder. Joel Klatt and Blandino are starting to wax on about why it’s technically targeting and yes it’s the right call. Johnson is not having any of it and ref comes out and says no targeting and Johnson says “Good!”. Get the PC crap out of football. Loved how Johnson called out the BS!

The crowd for Miami Louisville is abysmal. Empty seats everywhere with lots in lower levels looking awful for TV. Why are no Miami fans there to watch their team play a top 10 opponent? Their fanbase is weak.

More evidence that you don’t just win with some skill guys. All that razzle dazzle got punched in the mouth.

Wheels fallen off the Buffs. It’s like a totally different team.

Surprise, league turns a blind eye when favorite son goes corrupt. This stinks and everyone can smell it. Is there a way both Michigan and Ohio State can be knocked out of the playoff. I don’t care to see either make it. Maybe I would allow tOSU so they can get whacked. If UM wins out you will never hear the end of it from their fanbase.

The premise that out OL is good because we lead the league in rushing is far fetched. We lead the league in rushing because we struggle mightily in the passing game and every forward pass could end up an INT. So
we run the QB because that is their skill set.
Has our OL shown any consistency in protecting the pocket and giving our QB’s time to throw? Part of the reason I think CT left was because he was a more pure passer but without an OL and his best WR graduated it was going to be difficult. I suspect Rhule and Satterfield both knew we had to run the QB this season with bringing in Sims and we should be at 6 or 7 wins already with this strategy but it hasn’t worked that way. I don’t want to go into next season with this same mentality. We need players and coaches both to improve upon what we have.
Surprised no one is mentioning any other coaching candidates. So some of you don’t like Korn, ok. I also mentioned Paul Chryst. We have to make some changes IMO.

Super fast and Texas A&M commit. You know what to do Rhule.

Did Donovan Raiola cut you off in traffic or something? This obsession is getting out of hand.
No but the amount of love you are giving the guy is starting to make me think he has something on you.
Seriously I don’t really understand the hate on Satterfield who hasn’t been here a year with no QBs and this OL. Yes he made some bad play calls but this idea that we can just run the ball with guaranteed excellent results is fools gold. Raiola’s OL has been the weak link. It was weird we kept him due to some mancrush on his nephew.
So I say jettison them both because our offense is horrible. I think it’s more a Raiola problem and others think it is more a Satterfield problem. A&M snd Penn St. just let go of coaches better than ours so this is small peanuts for demanding better results and I would welcome upgrades at both our OL and OC. If you think coaching is the problem then name names to upgrade.
I tend to lean we have talent issues and lack of player depth as more of a problem than the coaching staff right now. But the amount of fire him now in other threads was too much. Ok fire him, but who do we get? I put some names out there. The schedule is only getting tougher.

No doubt we left some W’s on the table this year. We aren’t the only fanbase complaining. So what do we do about it? What are the coaches and players we need?
I’m ready to grab Willy Korn (great name for NU) and his QB Salter from Liberty. I also add Paul Chryst. Satterfield and Raiola are out. Transform this offense now.
And protect Coach White. If he gets poached then we may again have a defensive mess on our hands. Teams will be coming for him so be smart and let’s continue to rebuild the Blackshirts as that side of the ball has played well.

The bigger question is Texas A&M the most delusional team in CFB. You have never won anything, are worried TX and OU are going to steal your SEC cred, just won yesterday 51-10 so you fire your coach and give him a record buy-out. Facts: you’ll get another hire who will play .500 in the SEC.

I’d look at recruits as well as staff.

Texas A&M is delusional. They just won 51-10 and are going to fire their coach? I was expecting to see an embarrassing loss from yesterday.

I’d like to understand what is going on with our WRs downfield as well. With young guys who aren’t getting open this creates another layer to our problems. We all wanted to see Coleman on the field but I don’t see him creating separation and he is dropping balls. No Trey Palmer this year to have some highlights. Our whole offense is a work in progress and needs a major upgrade. I like EJ and Fidone and that’s about it.

With a decent offense we have 7 wins. Rhule has made mistakes but he’s not the problem. But agree this off season is huge. The lackluster offense has certainly earned him criticism so he’s got to fix that.

Big props to Coach White and the defense. They performed over my expectations this season and had us in most every game. A key piece to the rebuild was bringing back the Blackshirts. We must have an identity on defense and they have performed exceptionally.
The rest of the season has been a let down. The offense has cost us wins the defense secured multiple times including today.
This offseason will be Rhule’s big test. Make bold aggressive changes or he’ll be on hot seat in a couple more years. Do you see who is coming to the BIG? Those teams all kill us by 20+ if we play them today.
The offense needs a complete overhaul. Coaches, players it’s all bad. We need an identity. It has to be rebuilt from the inside out with new QBs and OL. The skill players like Coleman are getting manhandled out there. There’s no poise, rhythm, every throw is a circus because every play starts with QB and OL. Every run fighting for yards and fumbles. There are no explosive big plays. Offense is like watching a bad car trying to get going, it sputters but it is always on the verge of a complete breakdown.
Use our vaunted NIL, which I suspect is overhyped. I will gladly eat crow if I am wrong but I don’t see it. Tired of pulling 3 stars out of local schools. This is not working nor will it work in future. When are we pulling 4 or 5 stars from other states?
I didn’t have us winning today and think next week will be ugly. It comes down to a close game vs Iowa. It has to be this way for us. But I’m largely moving on from this season. We’ve seen a lot of all the QBs this year and we are going nowhere with any of them. Sure I’d take a bowl game but we know what we have. Securing key players and coaches for the future is more important after the meltdowns we have experienced last 2 weeks. We played the games and just are not at the level of of our opponents right now, which is scary because it is only going to get tougher. Rhule is in charge of fixing that going forward.

Hard to score when your qbs are dropping the ball or throwing it to the other team every time you blink
Agree we have terrible QBs and OL both. Our entire offense needs an overhaul. This will be Rhule’s first big test. With an average offense we are sitting on 7 wins, not 5 with unlikely to win again this year.

So, against a stacked box because the opponent knows we're going to run, why aren't we just getting shut down?
And how many points are we scoring these days? The OL is a huge problem and to fail to recognize that will lead to more crapfest football games.
