We need this win bad! Lets hope we have some descent pitching tonight from who ever is starting! Would be nice to not have to use bullpen at all but unlikely. We will need all our pitchers this weekend at Kansas we need at least two down there that would put us one above 500 in the Big Twelve.

The current group of JR and Seniors show none of the necessary ingredients to win baseball games! This is Anderson's issue and he needs a new pitching coach Bigham sucks! We use to lead the league since Bigham has come we are straight down hill!

I dont believe Anderson has done a good job!!!! If we are 500 or below in the Big 12 we will not go to Regionals. A Big 12 team with that type of record has never gone! We got shelled last night by a team that sits in the botton 14 of the league. It would not surprize me if we lost 1 maybe two more to Baylor this weekend. The team appears to have quit!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is an issue for the head coach he is apparntly recruiting a bunch of snot nosed whin bags eg Mr Ryan Whorle being the prime example!!!! I am so tired of this group of kids with the exception of or Freshman Right Fielder - Belfonte. he is the only one with much desire and heart!!!!! I also think Bingham should go or pitchers have done nothing since he arrieved at Lincoln!

Every week we move down and get a tougher seeding. They now project us as a number 3 seed at Florida State. If we make it we will be 2 and out! I am really frustrated Van Horn as a top 8 seed going at Arkansas and Childress has a number one seed going in a Regional at A&M. I am sorry but Anderson has not shown me a thing since he became the primary Coach we continue to go down hill since Childress left!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anderson was left with lots of talent and has not been able to build on it at all!!!!!!

NE must sweep!!!!! There chances in the post season are on the line I could care less about RPI!

Shirek is still suspended probaly should be gone! If he leaves we get some schlorship monies back too

Wehrle has had problems since he was a Freshman just ask his teammates!

Wehrle is now the second kid this year dismmissed for what appear to be alcohol related issues. This is not Anderson's fault but he is responcible for setting expectations in the club house and apparently its not been clear to these kids. I have long suspected that Wehrle had more then just a passing issue with Alcohol. NE season is basically over and if we get to regionals we will go two and out! I do put that on Anderson! We have done nothing since losing the best Coach we ever had here, yeah thats right Childress! The University and Anderson need to get a handle on this alcohol stuff with these kids!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I listen to or watch every game and I bleed red but I have had it with this years team and the apparent attitude of are so called top players. Clean house Anderson or leave your self. VanHorn goes to AR and now has a top ten team. Childress goes to AM and has a top 20 team. Anderson stays at NE and we finish in the bottom half of the Bog 12 ( very possible).

Something is seriously wrong with the program! Wehrle now appears to be gone and should be! How does a kid go from All American to also ran status in one year. Anderson needs a major house cleaning. We are headed back to the Sanders days if he does not take charge fast! We do not deserve to be in a regional!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good now lets hope his parents get him some help with what is an apparent Alcohol problem!!!!!!

They are young and have high tolerence levels. This is second time for Hammerlick this year he was with Watson the first time. Shirek has played horrible and apparently we lack discipline (not sure why). If we boot Shirek and Hammerlick it likely frees up some scholorship money for some people who can pitch!

I think Hammerdick needs to go and Shieric with him!

We need to take at least 2 from TX

I will be shocked if we make regionals regardless of what rivals says we lack consistent pitching and offense. If we make it we will be out in 3 games. Last night showed me we dont have offensive fire power to win close games.

Shirek flat out sucks right now! He sghould be on the bench he has lost a couple game almost single handley and last night was more of the same!!!! We will not make post season play this year as it is apparent our pitching staff if not up to the duty! We have 3 Pitcher ( Shirek is not one of them) and you need four to get any where in post season. Bowman needs to move into the weekend rotation but we are screwed in the midweek games. Shirek has a problem!!!!

I have grave concerns about whether we can make the regionals this year. We are sitting at 19 wins with some 24 games remaining in the regular season. Most experts say you need 40 wins to get into the regionals. The best case senerio that I see is us winning 16 of the next 24. The is would include winning the series from Texas, Coastal, Baylor, and Kansas not to mention the next 2 from Creighton. It would also include winning on game at Oklahoma this weekend, and beating Iowa. This is a huge undertaking and with no consistent pitching except from Watson at this point I think winning 16 is more then we can expect unless something changes. Any other thoughts I thought I was pretty generous with giving wins over the next 24 games.

This coming weekend is a defining moment for the season! Okie State comes in hear 4-1 in the Big 12 and in second place if we could some how win 3 games we would be 7-5 in the Big 12. This may be a pipe dream but if we lose the series we will be in a huge hole. Bottom line is if our pitching continues in the manner it has been going we will once again lose the series! This is a scary trend and I dont see an big pitchers coming in to the program that are potentially dominating! I hope this is not a signal trhat we are returning to the days of Sanders!!!!

It was not an offensive issue this weekend although we did leave runners on base in scoring position. It is pitching! Our pitching has not been the same since Childress left here! We are definitely bottome half of Big 12 this year! So sad!

Yes a real disapponntment so far and Texas AM will not be easy. I am hoping we can some how wim 2 but I also recognize we could lose all 3 very easy.

Team Batting we are #11 out of 12 Team Pitching #7 out of 12 Team Fielding # 11 out of 12 Not since John Sanders have we seen such numbers!

This weekend will show us alot or not. If we could win two at AM we would be in good shape but if we lose 2 or 3 we are about cooked for the Big 12 season!

The pitching from the starters and relief pitching has not been good and the bats are struggling. Go to huskers.com and look at baseball statistics you will see we are struggling to say the least.

This team does have issues! I was very happy to see the bats erupt in the sixth inning yesterday! The question is will it continue? We play AM this weekend at AM we will need lots of help to win a game down there!
