  1. Who should it be? this is a crucial decision. Bo knows defense, for sure. but we need a strong OC.
  2. The field goal was wide LEFT, but it looked like it had the distance. ABC just replayed it during the michigan game. the fans went crazy. Still, 1. 588 yards. 2. Our own announcers, who try REALLY hard not to criticize the team unless absolutely necessary were saying how apathetic the defense was. McKeon not trying hard enough, etc. 3. After this game, no one will be scared to go into Lincoln again. It's just not intimidating anymore. And that might be the hardest thing to turn around. there's no more psychological component involved in going to lincoln for a visiting team.
  3. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/16528337/ "Dark horses: Virginia Tech and Nebraska. Having learned valuable lessons during their two-week bobble this past season, the Hokies, who pitched four shutouts in 2006, should be the frontrunners in the ACC next season. Don’t dwell over the loss to Georgia in the Chick-fil-A Bowl too much. That’s just the kind of offseason ploy Frank Beamer needs to get his team prepared properly for a crucial trip to LSU on Sept. 8. If Bill Callahan can plug some big holes on defense and QB Sam Keller, a talented transfer from Arizona State, meshes into the Huskers’ stacked offense, Nebraska could build toward something special." hmmmm....
  4. boy are they going to be surprised when we crush OU... "With Texas frittering away its BCS opportunity, the Sooners will gladly take advantage and dump Nebraska in the Big 12 championship game to earn this bid. This will be Boise State’s opportunity to prove it is able to run with the big boys. Speaking of which, Adrian Peterson should be up and running at full strength for Oklahoma, so Boise had better beware."
  5. Hypothetical: let's say we beat missouri and colorado, win the North, lose to either OSU or A&M and go to the Big 12 championship with a 9-3 record. If we win the championship game, is it an automatic BCS berth? even with a 9-3 record hypothetically? is it a guarantee? orange bowl? any idea?
  6. The problem with mono is that the person's spleen enlarges, and any physical contact is usually out of the question for 6-8 weeks, or he could rupture his spleen. at least until a physician determines that the spleen has decreased in size. A ruptured spleen is life-threatening. of course, who knows if he really has mono or not, but if he does, no physician would allow full contact football for at least 6-8 weeks. and I'm one of them.
